    After 7 years of playing I'm not even close to getting past altissimo G while this dude just goes till 4th octave..

      Try practicing with a mouthpiece that has more opening

      I will say excercises like Overtones and pitchbending will help
      plus bending the pitch with the moutpiece also helps,
      as all these excercies help with learning about the movement of the tounge plus other stuff
      its called Voicing
      and if you can get the book by Donald Sinta
      it would help alot as it help me.

    Why is the classical sound so different from the jazz ??? 😮

    • @Clemenskoehlersax

      Different approach of Sound, in Jazz there is a bigger focus of individuality in Sound, in classical Saxophone sound there is more focus on intonation and clarity, that makes an huge difference

      Not roasting or anything, but in Jazz yoy have different lip placement what just makes it lot skill-less to play than classical. And with that comes sound difference, Jazz just doesn't care nor matter about that.

      @rlrihards948 skill-less? You couldn't be more incorrect.

      So incorrect its not even funny with alot of stuck up pompous tone within it.

      @@rlrihards948 playing with a jazz sound is a lot harder than getting a classical sound, especially those who start out playing in a school band.
