You can drag your compainions on the sheet around to decide who follows you and who is in battle with you.
In a while when your companions have a ! On them it is like a little side quest to make them stronger you go to a tavern to talk to them this is very important to do
Zeke is in Wizard and Pirate 101. That is how much he travels. Wow, he must know everything.
the nastalgia watching this seiries 8 years later is just
blaze btw if you wait until your a higher level to train your companions you get more of a level per point. Occasionally you can even gain 3 or 4 levels in one point.
just a tip
the trick is to hold off till you can get 2 levels out of a single point, your companions remain strong enough to help, but you save your points...
btw the yum-n-ade stand is something that was Kingsile did for make a dream network for a kid named Ryan who loves Pirate101
In the update, they changed it - Ratbeard teleports away on the first round and you don't fight him. This is far more fun. :)
I played it in 2015 half way to 2016 and I fought ratbeard
Be sure to ugrade your companians as you go. They will get stronger and more useful. Sometimes evolve. Like, Bonnie will become a sharpshooter with more abilities and range. It's really helpful. Plus, if you dont, they start to die a lot when the enimies get srtonger
In order to have mormo as your first companion click and hold his icon then drag if to the front of the line

you can rearange your companions so that you choose who fights in all of your battles.

also, when you get a new companion make sure you apply their talents and possible epics... so their combat ready...

I think you should go with the Buffaloon. Not a lot of people have that, and it looks really cool.

To move your companions drag them my holding down right click and move them. First mate has a 100% of appearing in battle all the others have lower

If you are going to be a good witchdoctor I suggest the Hoodoo Bundle,it is pretty good.
also...use your companion powers...they are helpful and never miss.

You should train rough when you can.Adds damage faster than agility :P And if you want to twitch first mates just click on who you want and drag them to the first slot.
If you dont already you will need a membership to complete the quest because you cant enter the cave in bloodchoals unless you have a membership

most of the stuff you learn from your trainer is passive.
training tomb (wear buy more companion points buy with gold but be very careful gold price change everytime when your pirate level up!
no blaze..just no...the priority of talents usually is: accuracy, dodge, rough, armored, then the damage skill(will, agility, strength) or lucky...lucky isnt all that great... spooky is dependant on the companion(ei Mormo is great with lots of spooky...but the bison spirit gets less out of it due to it only buffing his one power and not effecting his damage at all) agility, will, and strength only add small damage and the chance to resist epics and get more of your epics off.
Just let him play. That's how he wants to do it. :)

You don't NEED to do side quests. I have played through the game without doing any side quests. All they do is lvl you up quicker and make it easier to win battles.

you should put the higer lvl companion first cause he is he strongest
nope...WD's require a strong melee companion as their first mate or else they cannot hold the enemy back and just get beat to death atleast early game...latter it's not as big of an issue...but still helpful to avoid damage.
