Tried this today and wow, it’s a tank. Way too over-engineered and way too heavy. If you’re already carrying a heavy rig, this is going to make things super heavy for you. Not for the faint hearted! Incredibly built though and the machining is top notch. I’m still rocking the OG Armorman and I absolutely love it - I wish they’d make that model again, I really do :(
Was thinking the same thing. This rig is nearly 70 pounds, add another 30-40 pounds for camera and you’ve got 100+ pounds of gear?! The innovation is cool, very well engineered, but this would result in more effort IMO.
@@RobinetProductions I have it and 70 pounds is not accurate. The whole hard case fully loaded is only 61-62 pounds. When I put it on I think it's only 25lbs if I remember right and it doesn't even feel that heavy. Then my rig is another 18 so it's about 43 pounds in total. Far from 100+. I've had it on for hours at a time and it's super easy to wear without fatigue.
Damn I should have waited I purchased the 2nd version. There is alot of upgrades here my version doesn't have. I wonder could my version adapt some of these upgrades.
This looks so cool! But, I wonder, what provides the tension for the arms? How does one make them bear load/relax? What sort of mechanism is at work here?
Hi Leon, The arms work via spring tension. The technology is similar to the arms of a steadicam. Each arm has two sections, with tension control for each section of the arms. Let me know if you have any more questions about the Armor man 3. Have a great day.

Yes, the armor man 2 did have an integrated plate. Unfortunately there is no plate integrated with the current version of the Armor Man. Thank you for giving us feedback, we can look into integrating this in future builds of the Armor Man. Best,

U mean ur armour man 2? How is that for u? I heard the back plate and ur lumbar is an issue due to the gap being too tremendous? Thought?
Session One I’m still on the Armorman 1! About 5 years old now and still going strong. Fits good for me but always room for improvement.

I purchased an earlier version. You won't be disappointed... unless your like me and you have to set this up solo. A real pain.

Can you still rotate the rig to face sideways or behind you?
You have some flexibility depending on where you mount the gimbal ring adapters, but you cannot fully change the orientation of the rig!
