Wow, It‘s so wonderful to see Angel! He lived for many years in London and 15+ years ago was our LBS guy at the brilliant Condor Cycles (coincidentally at the same time as the young Giro d‘Italia winner Tao Geoghan Hart!). Such a lovely guy. 10 years ago he let me test a prototype of their Heritage Disc before it was in full production. Shortly after this we did a bike fit and he helped me spec my dream bike, which was one of the first Heritage Disc‘s to roll of the factory floor, which I of course still have. Cream with white accents, spec’d with 105, narrow dropped bars, 32mm tires and Mavic wheels, SON dynamo with B&M USB charging and a Hope rear hub. We created a bike for on-road / off-road touring. A sort of gravel bike, before gravel was really a thing. Maybe we were at the vanguard ;) Hope you‘re well Angel! I will definitely drop in the next time I’m in Barcelona.
Definitely insane , wouldn’t make it out of that shop in one hour, so much to see. With new bike selling, service and micro distribution ,this guy knows what it takes to run a bike business!
I can't imagine any shop I know that would build a set of wheels for a new bike because they know it's better. Amazing. And I must add, terrific job Russ on continuing to provide interesting content while acclimating to Spain
That is cycling! Love the servicing on a seperate level. Skilled jobs, especially in this setting, require people to be immersed in their work. Gives new meaning to Next Level!
Grande Angel! Muy profesionales él y David! Trabajamos con ellos desde hace tiempo y estamos muy contentos. Queda pendiente una visita, aunque este video es un buen adelanto!
I will definitely be visiting as I'll be in Barcelona this May/June for a day or 2 before heading back to Perpignan. What a bike emporium. Glad you are finding these places and letting us all know about them. Keep up the great work Russ.👍👍👍😀
Espaibici is and has long been a reference in the bicycle touring / bikepacking scene in Spain. Attention to every single detail, customer service and high knowledge are the core values of Espaibici, thanks to David, Angel and the other staff. I bought my first custom-made bicycle in Espaibici more than 15 years ago, and that Fetamà brought me to ride half the world. Now, with a sturdy Surly Ogre, I couldn't be happier. Don't hesitate to stop by and say hello to Espaibici people if you ever visit Barcelona.
So glad you went to back for an interview with Angel, I was surprised when you didn’t on the first video. He’s such a genuine and lovely guy. We dropped by there to get a wheel trued after landing in Barcelona and then again to clean our bikes(they have a full cleaning station you can access yourself) they were really accomodating and friendly.
The wheel building side business looks super interesting. I would love to learn more about what they do and how they see it add value to the bikes and the business.
Thanks for the shop tour. I didn't know it was so big. It's my fav BCN shop, where I bought my folding bike, accesories and wheels. Top brand selection and costumer friendly service as you can see. 👌🏼👍🏼👌🏼
Would love to see you guys do some food touring by bike. First time my wife and I were in Barcelona we nearly missed our flight back because we had three lunches. Also I can’t forget one time the reward for riding up a mountain in Majorca was the best tapas I’ve had in my life. We were on hotel rental bikes so the reward was well deserved!
Pelago bikes keep popping up in the shops you feature. Now that you are on this side of the pond maybe you should plan a visit here to Finland in the coming summer to meet the guys. Some nice bike packing opportunities, too.
This guy is level of English is quite impressive - he knows even obscure cycling specific parts in English, which is more than a lot of native English speakers do.
I've been enjoying your reports of the bicycling scene in Catalonia. My wife and I are going to be in Girona for a couple of weeks starting in mid April. We hope to do a combination of road and mixed surface riding. Is there a site which is easy to use for finding rides of about 20 to 45 miles in length? Thanks...maybe we will see you riding.
How did find your way back out? Incredible shop and center. Well done interview and hope you get to work Angel & Company more as they have connections across Spain and the EU with a definite party pace and commuter vibe.
I moved to Barcelona a few months ago and your first video at this shop helped me find them. I was able to pick up a few accessories and will get some more soon! Thanks for the recommendation
Thanks - Lots of stuff. He was selling lots of dynamos. Has anyone combined a disk brake with a dynamo yet and sold it as a unit? It seems like a natural rather than a special wheel.
I wonder why they stopped selling bromptons. I saw folding bikes all over the place in Spain--especially Valencia where they comprise the majority of non-ebikes.
La tienda es sensacional, el surtido de artículos para viaje y transporte impresionante, su website da pena, complicado de navegar, los thumbnails no informan lo necesario, no aparecen muchos productos que se observan o mencionan en el video, en fin.
Amazing shop and the fact that they substitute factory wheels with their own hand built wheels speaks volumes to their focus on quality.

Holy crap. That shop is huge and deep and never-ending.
I was really impressed by everything they had. Plus Angel, seems like a great dude to have at your local bike shop.
So cool! As another American living in Europe, keep the European bike shops and companies content coming!
This gentleman seems like an absolute treasure. Amazing place too!

man I wish we have this kind of bikeshop here in my country
I will definitely be visiting as I'll be in Barcelona this May/June for a day or 2 before heading back to Perpignan. What a bike emporium. Glad you are finding these places and letting us all know about them. Keep up the great work Russ.👍👍👍😀

Cool... important to support local bike shops. Handbuilt wheels are golden. Good job guys
Wow! Cool video, I can spend hours in a shop like that.
Reminds me of bike shops in Japan. Plus, Surly is also very big there. 😊
What an awesome shop!

He wasn't there the first time we visited.
That shop was soo cool, and what a nice guy.
I think you may have found a home Russ. Sweet shop.😉

Amazing! Would love to visit. Also, always fantastic to see a shop go out of their way to recycle tires/tubes. Much love from the US
Um, wow! Thanks, Russ, that was a fun visit to a funky shop. This is the way.
Wow! What a cool shop. Definitely going to stop in this summer when we are in the area.
Very cool shop! Thank you for spotlighting it 😊
This was an awesome tour! Great shop, great guy!
That place is incredible!!
Wow! What a great shop! Love the content, shaking it up,funnn!!

I'll check this out next time i'm in town. Super interview!
Great, agile camera work in this episode. Compliments to camara(wo)man!
Seems like a great shop, thanks for the showcase!
Love to see Surly holding it down in Spain.
Thats one crazy bike store,,,lucky for those who live near.
Wow what a place. Dream shop
Thanks for this. A very cool shop that knows its market, but also willing to push it a little bit and introduce new products and trends.
Great shop tour. Super nice

Wow. What a superb bike shop. Great guy.
Love that all the bikes come spec'd with their handbuilt wheels.
Awesome shop! Hope they get more activity because of this video!
I have been an EspaiBici customer for 10 years and had no idea what lurked beneath the floor!
Awesome, thank you for sharing!
Amazing looking shop!
This is superb content for anybody who is even remotely interested in bikes. Cheers from Brazil 🚲🚲💚💚💛💛
This guy is level of English is quite impressive - he knows even obscure cycling specific parts in English, which is more than a lot of native English speakers do.
my only english is bikeparts 😅
How impressive was that? Amazing store!
Great shop
Goodness, that place felt like almost an apartment block-sized. 😂 Lots of stories and vintage parts you might find hiding on those storage and floors!
Awesome shop

Awesome shop, something that size just wouldn't be feasible in London where I'm from, because of the cost of rent and overheads.
Working in a bike in Stockholm, Sweden myself. That’s what I kept thinking too.
Was that place a fortress before it was a bike shop?! Guess I'm visiting Spain to siege the walls of this bike shop.
Cool bike shop!
Great episode. A bit worrying to hear that rim brake wheels are may be getting harder to find-surely not
That will not be a problem, I've seen so many rim brake rims that got painted entirely and combined with disk brakes. ..
Man, was that fun! Wish more shops like this existed in the States!
Pleasant ride in Valley
I moved to Barcelona a few months ago and your first video at this shop helped me find them. I was able to pick up a few accessories and will get some more soon! Thanks for the recommendation
Cool shop and a cool guy.
In this internet age its a great thing of value to have, a good bike shop.
Awesome shop.
Pelago makes beautiful bikes. Hopefully they can start selling outside Europe in larger volumes.
The lower levels were priceless, they may have the ultimate bike cave. ❤ 👍🏼🤘🏻
Seems like a cool place to be
Thanks - Lots of stuff. He was selling lots of dynamos. Has anyone combined a disk brake with a dynamo yet and sold it as a unit? It seems like a natural rather than a special wheel.
I spy an OG Ghots Grappler on the wall - is it a Medium? ;)
Cool place. I hope they never have to relocate. Would be a nightmare!
Dyno hub wheel please!
Stateside; try “Bicycle Heaven “ in Pittsburgh, PA, crazy amount of bikes & accessories. ✌️🇺🇸
Im suprised you havent heard of pelago theirnracks are fairly popular in toronto.
You hardly seem them in the US.
I wanna work in this shop ❤
Cave of good ideas hah!
I wonder why they stopped selling bromptons. I saw folding bikes all over the place in Spain--especially Valencia where they comprise the majority of non-ebikes.
Probably because a lot of Brompton only shops popped up.
I can get lost inside that shop. The way the owner talks reminds me of Alberto Contador.
Surly Straggler in chlorine Dream blue….Love my heavy mama.
I didn't see an elevator. I would hate to carry a long E-cargo bike down to the shop on the lowest floor.
La tienda es sensacional, el surtido de artículos para viaje y transporte impresionante, su website da pena, complicado de navegar, los thumbnails no informan lo necesario, no aparecen muchos productos que se observan o mencionan en el video, en fin.
RUSS: "Tell me how all these brands compare to Surly"
When do you move to Barcelona?
wow
can i request you to visit ORBEA factory? hehehe
This shop is like a TARDIS, bigger on the inside 😅
Where in Barcelona
No e bikes ❤ it
It's a niche bike shop, after all
But uhm have you seen the video completely?
