Thank you. I've sold the batteries. They wouldn't fit my new motorhome and never really got use out of them. I'm sticking to the old style 😉

Thanks for sharing your experience, such a shame you have had such a challenge, i find my Microwave used 125A ish when In use on full power (800W) and will surge greater on startup. Shame they hadn’t checked what you needed it for. So pleased its working in the end for you. Agree ref the battery BMS continuous and surge capacity being the problem. I got a single battery but it has 250A continuous / 500A surge BMS so seems to take anything thrown at it - have subscribed as sound advice also ref the carpet as great to get a heads up on challenges - all the best, David 👍

From memory I think the microwave pulled 115 amps on the cheap inverter and 94amps on the quality Victron Phoenix. Those 1200VA Victron inverters are £400, you can get an inverter which 'says it does the same thing' for less than £50. Are Victron ripping us off with their 5 year warranty on every product or are the cheap inverter distributers lying to their customers about the performance of their product. The cheap inverter pulled 20% more power and just converted it into heat, then overheated.

A cautionary tale indeed. So is it the retailers responsibility to ensure that what a customer requests is correct?
Or is it the customer that needs to ensure that what they ask for is correct for the intended purpose?
    Thanks for the timely advise!

Thank. They are the experts and that's why I paid the top price.

@@MotorHomeBeepBeep It highlights to me at least just how little I know about electrics, batteries and being off grid. I do think self sufficiency on the road is an excellent idea, not being dependant on camp sights and mains hook ups would be very refreshing.

We do try to warn people about cheap inverters but it is tricky. People who don't want to spend £400 on an inverter don't really want to hear that their £50 inverter is only up to low loads, is woefully inefficient and will probably overheat at half it's rated capacity for a couple of minutes

I have a 2022 Solaris XL and I have removed the cab carpets due to the same issue with the accelerator pedal catching.

Thanks for the video, very interesting as having a similar upgrade fitted this month. I assume you saw my video of the carpet, scared the hebejebies out of us and absolutely appalled by Wildax shrugging their collective shoulders.

Well, forewarned is forearmed when you get your upgrade this month. And regarding the video, yes it was good of you to put that on. I think it's atrocious. It's a simple mistake but could be devastating Wildax should do something about it, not just shrug their shoulders it's very scary when it happens on a motorway I was in the slow lane for a while till my nerves settled.
