I bought a Strymon Dig largely because of you. It’s probably the one pedal on my board I can’t live without now! Thank you so much Bill!

    • @edd27

It does have stereo in, you just need to use a trs cable and open the pedal to move 1 component inside to activate the stereo input. It sounds harder than it really is but it's super simple, the documentation online explains it very well

One of the earliest examples of delay used to great effect on a song to sell records is the opening of Elvis Presley's Baby Lets Play House. The stutter step B-Babys were triplets and the delay was dotted eighth note I think. Then early Pink Floyd on to Brian May Brighten Rock and The Edge Streets Have No Name. Always been interested in that kind of stuff and why I enjoy this channel.

A switch to allow you to run delays together (like the triple delay) or individually would have been the bees knees

I use original X4 for few years and your video totally broke my heart :) now I want this v2, because of subdivision knob. In v1 it's done quite awkwardly. At the other hand, even in v2 they didn't do anything with awkward delay/looper switch, the main pitfall of this great blue peace of iron.

Had the original x4. My main gripe is I’d rather have a ditto like looper in place of the tap tempo. The looper on it is a pain to use because you have to change the delay sounds by hand if you’re in looper mode.

Dual delay is one of the most common delay use.. It should be added in the knob selector not only in the toneprint.

    Good morning,
    Another great video.
I currently have the first version. And I'm facing a big problem: I lose my settings after a while. I tried to solve the problem through updates, but it does not change anything. My question is simple. Does v2 have the same problem?

@@chordsoforion Thanks. Bought the Triple Flashback...used. It was noisy and colored my tone a lot. It's going back today. Using DD500 whioch is better and just bought a DD-8 which arrives today so I can compare. People say good things about the DD-8.
Question- does having mostly digital pedals on my board completely negate any benefit of adding an analog pedal to the party? I just bought The Duellist- a very nice analog Drive Pedal. Not sure if it will work or not.

Thanks for the great demo! Clear and to the point. Curious about expression pedal brands or preferences you use with the flashback delay pedals. I owned the older version of the X4 and currently use the Triple delay. My attempts to get an expression pedal properly set up have been confusing and frustrating. Any advice? Maybe using it with the editor.....hmm.

that dynamic delay is a cool idea. Does the analog feedback go nuts like analog delays do. as opposed to that controlled endless digital-style feedback you demonstrated early in the video?

    • @stephanhoing8269
      @stephanhoing8269 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Speaking from my experience with the Flashback 2 (which should also hold true for the Flashback 2 x4): Yea, the Analog Delay can get pretty nutty if you crank the feedback knob up. I would use everything beyound 2 o'clock with caution. But if you throw some Delay-knob-fiddling into the mix (which on the Analog-setting is also controlled by MASH), you can get crazy with self-oscillation. And who doesn't like that? :)

  • @barbar2090

A real drawback is the fact that you can't make a preset with two independent delays in series. For example, I like to use an extremely short delay to fatten the tone, followed by a dotted eights note delay with modulation. The pedal has by far enough processing power to do that, it's a limitation that could be fixed with a software update. But that will never happen in this company.

Everyone here sounds very excited about it and it does sound great but let me tell you, I just got it and man, it's just too complex. Too few buttons handling too many functions. It took almost an hour to find out how to turn the thing off. I've been reading the manual and watching videos to no avail. I can't determine if the MASH buttons turn on different delays or just manipulate parameters of a single delay. Currently, there's a MASH button that just turns all the sound off, no guitar sound at all. Not sure what's up with that. I just have no idea what this thing is doing. There really needs to be a video that really explains how to use it. But I'll probably return it before I find one. I have a feeling the people doing the demos don't really understand it either. I've yet to see one where they actually explain how it works.
