Beautiful card, great texture and a fan favorite Pokemon. And nobody understands why ? The same space where people said S& VTW was a bad set. But becoming a fan favorite set.
Greninja has actively been proven on multiple occasions to be the most popular Pokemon, even more popular than Charizard and this is the first REAL big chase card for Greninja besides the rainbow Greninja from Forbidden Light. It makes perfect sense to me why Greninja is popping off
Only need 13 more cards to complete the set.... I might have to bite the bullet and buy it, but I'll wait until I can grab it under 200.... looking for 150 or less, honestly. I'm guessing the eevee set and the rocket set will cause a correction for greninja 🤷♂️

People will realise the manipulation when the cared comes down and doesn't come back up, it seems like people with big pockets are buying out the chases and increasing prices,iv heard of content creators getting messages asking them to hype up the greninja or to sellers asking them not to lower prices,all chase cards are being manipulated
I was so close to buy it just because I was amazed of how fast its price was going up but then I realized that I'm not even a big fan of Greninja to begin with, so (for me) spending that much on something that you don't really like doesn't make sense.
You're missing the point of market manipulation, the manipulation is in the transition of increasing the market value of the card artificially. Just because people buy the card after the price increase doesn't mean that there was no manipulation involved in process. Market manipulation is nothing new, and legitimate sales ALWAYS happen after manipulation happens. people don't just magically stop wanting a card after it's been price manipulated, so there's gonna be fomo and people will continue to buy. That's literally why manipulate the market in the first place to take advantage of those people

I agree with everything you said in this video. I will say there seems to be some kind of manipulation with the graded version of this card. The price range goes from 500 all the way up to a little over $1000 I would definitely want it and if I did, I wouldn’t sell it.

People really don’t seem to care for the shrouded fable SIRs so there is nothing really competing with them. So we are essentially going about 4 months without big chases except for what is in twilight masquerade. I’m sure this is partly why the Greninja is selling as high as it is right now, especially since it is so hard to pull.
This card continuing to rise in value is the perfect example of why nobody can predict which cards are going to be the cream of the crop for each generation. Initially, no one believed in the Moonbreon in the Sw&Sh era or the tag team Latios Latias alt art in the S&M era, but they eventually rose above the rest and became the chase card for each block. When those were new, people were bashing both cards, saying that they preferred other cards, have negative opinion about the art, or that they could not understand why the market is valuing them so high, etc. The market ultimately sets the price for the cards, and so far, it has shown that it supports the value for this card. I'm not saying it is going to be the chase of SV, just observing the similarity in preception and attitudes from everyone here about this card so far as compared to the past. Everyone has an opinion, but overall, the market will determine if a certain card is valuable long term or not. So far, I have been pretty impressed on how the Greninja has held up. Greninja is a popular pokemon, the pull rate is difficult for this card, and the print run of twilight masquerade seems to be less than others. These are interesting ingredients that can lead to some decent results in the future.
The set has been out 6 weeks and the first graded copies are just hitting the market, inflating the 'shiny new chase' raw price just like every other set in recent history. This card truly is in a bubble and *will* crash as many more of them get pulled, many more get graded, and better sets come out. This card is mid.
Or maybe people are sick of the futrue and ancient pokemon getting all the SIRs lately so when a popular classic pokemon finally gets an SIR people go crazy. They also nerfed pull rates so it is very hard to pull.

When I first got this card I almost sold it for $100 on offer up and the guy never came through. Then the price literally went up to $250 and the guy finally hit me up saying he's ready to buy for the same price as $100. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I still got it lol
I have only sold cards that I pull mulitiple. I have never pulled an expensive card multiple times and I cherish all of my high end pull from packs. My most cherish pulls in memory are the eevee from twilght masq and charizard vmax from shining fates. I love the game of pokemon. I dont really pay attention to the price of cards unless a video I watch brings it up but I am not oblivious to it. I love my collection led in strength by cards like lugia v and umbreon v. I am grateful for all that pokemon has done to be a smile on my face and I am down emotionally.
Also TM is the worst pull rate I have experienced for pulls in the SV era. Its terrible. I pulled 13 "hits from my last booster box and 7 were double rares.
I don't understand how this is the super expensive chase of scarlet and violet. Its just kinda of cool at best. The 151 starter trio SARs look way better imo

It became apparent quite quickly how rare it was to pull and the Art really is fabulous (this art for me went from an easy skip -> its kinda nice -> i need this card!) and I think it is really growing on people!
Hello Ken you need to be careful because you are experiencing 2 things 1. Mimetic desire - this is when somebody wants something only because other people want it. 2. marketing placebo effect - this is when somebody wants something only because it is expensive. You are currently seeing the price of the card is climbing and it makes you want it even more and more even though you initially didnt want it just because other people want it and the price has climbed. Be careful not to fall into this trap because it can be very expensive. many people fall for mimetic desire and marketing placebo effect

There’s way cooler cards than the umbreon in the sword and shield era too haha. Cool has a very limited impact I think.
