That sun ray blue is quite beautiful.

Since release, I’ve been eyeing the Divingstar Iconic and the Caribbean Sunray and this vid just may have gotten me over the hump on pulling the trigger. Great vid as always, Bruce!

This is really nice and for those that either have small wrists or like tiny watches, it will be great. I tried one on shortly after they were announced. As for me, I still prefer the 300T for my 7 inch wrist and 2m height body. Kudos to Doxa for the reasonable price too.

I've been looking for the perfect orange dial diver for quite some time now and the orange 200t could just be a great option for my 6.5 inch wrist.

This smaller size was definitely a nice surprise when they announced it, and it's nice to see more options in that range. Also, I've come across Exquisite Timepieces a few times recently when searching for other watches, so I'm glad to hear you've had a good experience with them!

I saw the 200t at WindUp, and I was shocked that I preferred the size of the 300 on my small 6.7 inch wrist. The 300 didn't wear like a big watch at all, possibly because it has a small dial (only a fraction of a millimeter larger than the 200t's).
Anyway, thanks for the great review vid!

I have the 300 in that color. Caribbean was the color I choose when I bought it. The 200t nice addition. With a 7.5 inch wrist fits me better.

    What size is Bruce’s wrist?
The 39mm looks perfectly fine on his wrist size imo

seems like doxa, and many other brands, needs to offer models in the 40-41mm sweet spot. they offer 42+mm and then a 39mm, something in the middle would be great

I know it’s a cliche, but Doxas really do wear smaller than the numbers suggest. Visually, the bezel stands out as the key diameter, and the bezel is a millimeter or two inward of the flat case. My Sub 300 Carbon fits my 6.25 in wrist perfectly.

Those Doxa are offering very few improvement for the price tag, and this becomes very obvious when compared with the "hommage" models.
There is a real plus to Doxa regarding the clasp, but it doesn't justify alone the price.

What do you mean? The sub 300 is nearly 1k more and 300t is 500 more

Bruce, does the bezel on your model have any side-to-side play? I don’t mean when it turns, but in its attachment to the watch. My Searambler has a slight amount of “wiggle” you might say. Wondering if this common. Thanks!

Tried one on thinking it would be a fun and very cheap addition.
Found that legibility is poor on the smaller dial and the watch overall just looks a bit ridiculous on the wrist.
I wanted to like it but it's not for me.

Hmm. Most of it is made in China now.. Everything apart from the movment is made there and shipped to Switzerland Switzerland and assembled there.

That is nearly all microbrands, and many larger 'swiss made' brands these days.

This is a valid criticism for the industry as a whole, but not against Doxa. Like Bruce said, this is how almost all smaller brands are able to get to a reasonable price point with decent specs. I'm sure we'd all love a fully Swiss manufactured and assembled piece with perfect QC, but now we're paying significantly more money and nobody loves that.

That watch looks sick as in literally sick. That small hour hand compared to the big minute hand makes no sense to me.

    • @MajorGeneralVeers
      @MajorGeneralVeers 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It’s for diving because the elapsed minutes are the most important information you need to get from the watch.
