Remember all the toys that came out last year with Thanos in the armor and wielding the sword? Pretty sure it wasn't until the movie came out that any company realized that they got Thanos wrong by including the gauntlet. And, from what we saw in the opening of Infinity War, they must have assumed even with less stones, he'd still have the glove.
@@mahoutsuguy863 well he did have the gauntlet with the armor at the very beginning of infinity war. When he decimated the asgaurdians (but he only had two stones) i assumed thats what all the thanos with a sword toys were referencing. I feel like he had a different sword there.
@@Getwright- Oh yeah, I certainly do remember him having the gauntlet at the beginning over Infinity War, but that's what I'm saying. Back then, it seemed all the concept art for both movies (being filmed at the same time) was given to these companies, so last year we got figures that were inaccurate (thanos has all the stones in the gauntlet on his armored figures) and because the movie didn't come out until this year, no one would have had confirmation of what Thanos would end up looking like until the movie came out (due to secrecy). So them releasing an Endgame Thanos with the gauntlet is probably only due to having the same concept art they had last year but just knowing for a fact that Thanos didn't appear that way for most of Infinity War and that he could be wearing armor in Endgame...and then assumptions were made.

Especially since marvel studios does seem to care about fans to some extent (and most big companies want more brand synergy)
I talked to a sculptor for Hasbro a few days ago and she said that they got the concept art that they based these MCU figures off of...2 years ago. So no wonder all the toys for Endgame are wrong.
I can see them doing the final battle Thor with the Viking beard and tied up dreads but, I'm really hoping that they do Ray-Bans and sweater dude Thor.
Something ive noticed about hasbro legends: they always tend to translate Mark bagley designs well (like this citezen V) must just be something about the way he draws. Even pizza spidey has a very Bagley feel to him to me. Cant wait to get the rest of the thunderbolts
I feel like the torso and legs of the Ronin are gonna get reused for an eventual Endgame Hawkeye. That chest strap with the scabbard can also get reused for Hawkeye, just have a different quiver piece to key into the back instead of the scabbard.
I'm watching this particular review for the first time. I watch 'em like sitcoms. Anyway, enjoyable as usual, then the wrap-up, when you went all Crash Test Dummies on 'bright white'. I almost spit-take'd' all over my screen. You rock, Robo.
I know the feeling. Went to one of my local Walmart’s and saw a new Citizen V figure with the missing Thanos BAF piece. They replaced it with the Ragnarok BAF piece Hulk Leg. Smh
You should do that cut in ronin's jacket robo! If done correctly you can barely tell there's a a cut of course it'll have a gap when bent backwards but forward looks great and allows the figure to move waaay better, also I'd advice you to cut the shurikens off the hand and have separate shurikens and an amazing dynamic hand, and separate the trigger fingers of the sword wielding hands so you can place the shurikens in! None of this is my idea, it's from another person but I thought I'd let you know, hopefully this helps you and you give It a try or at least you find it interesting, great video as always!
Got the 2 pack of Clint and tasha swapped that head on my ronin and removed the jacket. Now I finally have a good Hawkeye figure. Also picked up a second Ronin. Now they're posed together and they look badass.
Nice intro, that's funny bro...Maw looks awesome & surprised just how good the armored Thanos actually looks (not as good as the SHF but not bad) but unfortunately Hasbro apparently used the timestone to go backwards before waist swivel & ankle pivot became traditional features on respectable action figures (wth????). I prefer Hawkeye over Ronin & the Cap. fig. is nothing special IMO. Not really interested in rest of the wave. Purcasing Maw & the SHF armored Thanos is cheaper than buying this wave if other figs are not of interest. That's what I'm down for. Thanks for the review.
Be careful gluing down Hercules belt if you pull down to tight and glue it over his crotch it will start to tear from where the pocket belt meets the shoulder strap when you articulate him at his ab crunch.
i think I am in the low end of the spectrum on this, but I have been a defenders fan since 1978 and marvel treasury edition of the Defenders. and that is where I discovered that there was yet another marvel team, and holy Hannah it has Dr.Strange, Namor, Valkrie, The Hulk and who is this character that looks a whole bunch like Blue Falcon ( yes the Hanna-Barbera guy) and that is where I was captivated by this character. so I was tickled pink to finally finish the second team of defenders. two thumbs up for nighthawk
He actually does wear the gauntlet while in his armour. They released this for Endgame, but in the beginning of Infinity War, he has the gauntlet, while in his armour still. That's what this is from, it's a holdover. Hot Toys as well as Bandai did the same thing. Only Hasbro is releasing it for Endgame, oddly enough.
I thought exactly that, though he obviously does not have all 6 Infinity Stones at the beginning of Infinity War, but 6 stones in the gauntlet looks nicer than only 1 or 2. and they don't have to make new sculpt that way for the gauntlet.
It would be cool to see the Thunderbolts in the MCU. I would like to see other hero teams. Obviously we already have the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy but it would be cool to have more.
I understand why marvel would wanna keep the real endgame thanos look secret but at the same time I’m sure most people would prefer this armored gauntlet look over a damaged gauntlet infinity war look or an armored non-gauntlet endgame look. Idk I just feel people have been waiting for this look since infinity war so
I have all the figures in this series and it’s amazing, thanos looks worse in video and pictures than in real life. The infinity war 3 pack 10 year fig head works GREAT with the thanos. If I were to only pick up one though, I would get ebony maw.
Great review Robo! I've picked up Ronin, Herc and LL so far. Herc & Ronin because I see them being hard to get (and they're pretty dang good!) and Laser just because he came with the biggest piece for Thanos. Really hoping to track down Maw at some point. Where did the fist on your Wonder-Man come from?
Ronin was neat, but those knee joints are absolute trash. Had to return mine after it tore. Honestly, this whole wave is pretty bad, save for Ronin & Maw (probably because I’m personally not a fan of 90% of comic figs). I don’t get why we couldn’t have gotten Scale-suit final battle Cap, Fat Thor, and Mk 82 Iron man, etc.; ya know, what people actually want, instead of the quantum suits hat are on screen for maybe a minute?
The Fwoosh that’s good 👍 I think it might’ve been an early production issue, but I saw a few other people have issues w/ jelly knees that didn’t work well with the way the ratcheting was designed in the leg 🤷♂️
That Ronin is probably my favorite out of the set. I wonder if the extra holes on the sheath strap are there so you can tighten the sheath on Ronin without the parka. Also I seen some simple mods for Ronin by TheLeoLegendary10 that really seem to improve it. You probably have already seen it but I think you should check out the S.H. Figuarts Thanos. It looks amazing. Glad to hear you liked Endgame. Was pretty sure you would but I've heard some silly reasons why some people didn't.

I think it's bull that 1. the BAF pieces are $10-$25, and 2. you can't even find all the pieces anyway. Search eBay and you'll mostly find the left leg (Ebony Maw).

Thanos DID wear the gauntlet with that armor for like 2 minutes in Infinity War, albeit not with all the stones but this works for me. The lack of waist swivel kinda gets to me though
In the Defenders comic, Nighthawk's Cape was really a hidden jetpack, so it didn't move much. Just a little flow at the bottom. But that doesn't make for good toys. Is there another way they could have gotten that big, signature, over-the-shoulder swoop? I miss the Blue Falcon-like nose break though.
i hate that design for living lazer, it looks like an ice sculpture of Magneto (especialy AOA Magneto) but...yeah...it's a pink see-thru figure, it looks good.
I only got Ebony Maw and Hercules for from this wave, Ronin is cool but eh- I have more SHF MCU than anything and I skipped Ronin and just pre ordered Hawkeye.
Great review, but I'm not sure what is going on with the Black Order photo at 29:45, Corvus is the shortest, Ebony and Proxima close to the same height, Thanos, then Cull. Height size in the session seems way off to me since I'm sitting here looking at basically the same setup on my desk. :) Was that a photoshop pic of the group? I mean it's cool if it was, still a good review in the end.

I won't build this BAF ( knowing Hasbro, they'll release this Thanos as a single card, in a 2 pack or a 3 pack in the future ) but I will buy some figures on this wave... Nice video as always....
Idk, about the only figure I want in this wave is Ronin, maybe Hercules...that torso hinge is horrible looking to me, but the rest of it is pretty good! Thanos does look nice, but I just don't care for the rest of this wave.

If you look at leak image of the basic figures, the suits are in fact white. So I don't get why Hasbro went for a gray color.

Thanos looks so nice, that lack of ab articulation absolutely kills me however.
Lack of waist articulation and ankle rockers/pivot definitely took the figure down a peg for me, which is honestly frustrating.
I gave Citizen V's cape to Captain America to make him MORE 'Merica.

Great review, but I'm not sure what is going on with the Black Order photo at 29:45, Corvus is the shortest, Ebony and Proxima close to the same height, Thanos, then Cull. Height size in the session seems way off to me since I'm sitting here looking at basically the same setup on my desk. :) Was that a photoshop pic of the group? I mean it's cool if it was, still a good review in the end.

Idk, about the only figure I want in this wave is Ronin, maybe Hercules...that torso hinge is horrible looking to me, but the rest of it is pretty good! Thanos does look nice, but I just don't care for the rest of this wave.
