I just ordered Mr. Sinister. He's been one of my favorite Marvel villains for a long time. It's great he finally got such a kickass figure.
I hope they do a retro Nightcrawler sometime in order to reuse those parts, just so we can get "curly mop of hair" Nightcrawler for the classic crowd.

I'm pretty sure the wendigo head is modeled after the Arthur Adams style when he did some issues when red hulk first came out and Joe fixit was fighting a bunch of wendigo in Vegas for whatever reason

Got the Nightcrawler a couple of weeks ago. Wow. I never had a figure before you before.
I love the character so I’m sure I’m biased but it could be my favourite ML.
Also got the Hulk two pack today as it happens. As big guys go I thought you never better the Thing, but they did. He’s fantastic.
The tail didn't need to be bendy, but they could have at least put it on a ball joint so it could do more than just rotate. I wish they would have given us a sword hand for the left hand too. Sometimes he dual wields swords. And there's no swapping an open left hand from another figure on Nightcrawler.

That Nightcrawler looks like Thrawn and Spock had a child, no gripes.
Keep building the X-teams, and Hasbro would prolong its longevity in manufacturing.

This version of Wendigo is from Amazing X-Men 2014 #7-12 Small town gets taken over Wolverine gets turned into one. Nightcrawler was back from the dead and they brought back Firestar. Definitely worth picking up if you haven't read X-Men in a while
Grabbed Sinister so far from this wave, and it's pretty decent! I cannot wait to get my Nightcrawler. I'm with you, Alan Davis was my dude, but, man that looks pretty great!

I love all the X-Men waves that Hasbro has been doing, but this one and the Apocalypse wave have been the best, hands down.
Honestly, you did a good job on the Cannonball custom, impressive.

@@matthew1420 don't understand "see". Supply and demand. More figs means less demand. Cheaper prices for nightcrawler and Jubilee. Robo, advocate for us real collectors and respond for cheaper prices.
Sinister is building out that Apocalypse team.
Apocalypse, Archangel, Caliban, Sinister.... They're giving us a lot of that stuff lately.
But we need some Horsemen aside from just versions of Death.

I'm on the fence for my definitive comic Nightcrawler - I too love Alan Davis' rendition, and the first few years of Excalibur are among my favorite comics to read, but I also have a soft spot for a John Byrne rendition. As for modern renditions, I'm entirely on board with a Humberto Ramos take on Kurt.
But the important question is: Will Nightcrawler hang upside down from my metal display cubes when I put magnets in the peg holes on his feet like Ms. Marvel, or is he too heavy, like Netflix Daredevil?

Great review. As for Cannonball, I would have preferred him with legs that would then slide into a hollow blast effect. I also wish the blast effect was a little longer. This version of Wendigo is from the Amazing X-Men Vol. 2 #8-12 storyline where a people became infected and turned into Wendigo's. This version could be for army building.

I have wanted an excuse to purchase Paladin and complete Sasquatch. Having just seen the Toronto Fan Expo tease of the Alpha Flight box set coming this Christmas, Sasquatch hit the top of my want list and having two Cannonballs at home, I raced out, bought a Paladin and am about to cut his legs off :)
That nightcrawler is an awesome looking figure. If i find him imma get him and i do t even know the character. Such a cool looking figure.

I'm loving this wave so much!!! I can't put my X-Force Wolverine down, I love that particular more tactical, utilitarian look. I just need Cannonball and Nightcrawler to complete the wave :)
How are the claws? Not necessarily looking to fill out that X-Force, but I love how MvC2 those claws could look on Tiger Stripe.

@@a.e.madison5966 The claws are amazing!!! Much thicker, sturdier and straight. They are also set deeper into the hands.
For the legged version of Cannonball I'd suggest thickening the waist swible post by wrapping it with pfte tape.

I love that they are doing Alpha Flight figures. I’m hoping for the mutants from the Soviet super soldiers.
I never thought I'd get Outback Dazzler and Boom Boom, so let's push my wish magic into Darkstar and friends.
Ken Lashley did the artwork for the back and sides of the boxes for these. He’s also a comic book artist. Some of the other recent works include the box art for the Apocalypse wave, as well as the Emma Frost, Mystique, Black Widow and Ghost Rider with motorcycle figures.

I too would love to see a classic Excalibur lineup someday. Those early issues were some of my first comics and I've been a fan ever since. Not to mention they also cemented Arcade as my favorite Marvel villain, whom I would also like to see get the Legends treatment.

Thanks a lot Robo now I’ve started collecting Marvel Legends X-Men figures.
One of the stronger overall waves, even with Cannonball and another wolverine that I don't want.... Every other figure is a must have for me...meaning that even without a build a figure component I was going to get Boom Boom, Night Crawler, Guardian, and Mr Sinister(and yes Wendigo).... Cannonball would have been a must have if he had legs--or cost $15....And of course I want Wendigo... not the best head sculpt I agree, but still good enough and it's not just a straight repaint of Sasquatch.
I'm glad you were able to review it, and focus on what you enjoy about the figures and dislike, instead of just copying every other opinion and repeating it...and I like that you mentioned the other opinions and explained why it didn't bother you as much. And I love the custom you did... I'm thinking of getting as many Paladins as I can get, because he seems to be one of the go to figures to be used for customizing... any paramilitary outfit out there, he could fit in... I'm thinking of using him for ultimatum soldiers etc.
The likelihood is very low but I'd love some Alpha Flight 2 packs.
Northstar and Aurora.
Shaman and Snowbird.
Maybe even a 3 pack with Marrina, Puck and either rerelease Sasquatch for those who missed him or a Guardian with that metallic red from the prototype.

To join those legs on Cannonball, I had a similar issue when i was assembling my Clone Wars Maul and I used hot glue. I filled the cavity with hot glue then quickly jammed the peg in there. Just make sure to put a little chapstick or vasoline on the peg so it doesn't stick.
That old Toy Biz Nightcrawler looks like a blue Skrull.
I dunno, I'm so on-the-fence about a few of the figures in this wave, and I wasn't too big into X-Force either...
That Cannonball is the worse. They always mess up his figure...

I really like the baf, wolverine, and night crawler.
I liked that wolverine more than I thought I would also, I like the thicker claws and red eyes and tough color scheme.
I need Nightcrawler. It looks great! And Wolverine gets us closer to the X-Force team he was on. X-23 in the Black and Grey, the upcoming Dethklok, the X-Force Deadpool all work with that Wolverine
Cannonball has the same arms as shatterstar so sinister is the only totaly new in the wave 14:57

I was all like "Whoah, how did I miss Robo's review of this wave? Then I noticed it was uploaded today, and then I didn't feel bad, It's just weird for me to have a figure on order before reviews really pop up for it. But I need that Kurt. 90's X-Men!
Great review Robo. The only ones I'm getting from this wave is Mr. Sinister and Nightcrawler. I love that Kurt has three head sculpts. Can't wait to try my hand at some BAMF toy photography! :-)

I agree! All Spider-Man figures should have those hips moving forward. Limited hip articulation for agile characters is criminal.
Use a bit of hot glue to seat the torso! Cover the peg in Vaseline or any other release agent. Let the glue set, then just clean things up and pop it back in. Works great for making heads fit too.
Do you have to destroy Paladin's torso to remove the hips? I have an extra Paladin that I was thinking of turning into a Zartan at some point, but I've never disassembled a ML figure. I'm spoiled from my former days of popping open torsos of 25th/30th G.I. Joes for customising.... I'd like to be as least destructive as possible.
You can probably crack the torso, but I'm lazy and just cut the peg.
My x force wolverines butterfly joints are stuck and when I try to pop it loose im worried about breakage. Any ideas on what to do?

Boomer was her nickname, like Wolvie for Wolverine

I would just use some of the small magnets to hold him together!
I like how he calls them by name and not by there hero/villain name
why not use the peg that connects the paladin upper torso with the hips and change it on the cannonball abs, that way if you really want to cut into the extra effect piece use the top piece with the whole and plug/glue it to the inner part of the bottom of the other one to have a cover to the bottom that will not only match the colors but also will have a hole for an easy wall mount.

Great job w/ the Cannonball mods. I wish Hasbro would've given him "normal legs" w/ a blast FX attachment to encase his lower body. NC is definitely the main draw of the wave for me, I just wish he came w/ better articulation (body, hands, feet & tail) & 2 swords.

The boots on wolverine are from Captain America in the 3 pack for Civil War I'm pretty sure.
