I couldn't believe it, when that car was announced. I always thought the gt3 was the best 911 configuration, the 4.0 liter, naturally aspirated, with a manual gearbox! But the wing messes up the design. The 911 R was the obvious choice, but the limited numbers turned it into a museum piece! Then there are the 911 Singers, witch are absolute pieces of art, but I wouldn't park one on the street, and go for coffee. I would be getting up to see if it was still there every 5 minutes! So I was blown away when they announced the touring package. The right engine and the right gearbox in the perfect body style! When and if I ever round up that kind money, I'm going strait to the dealer. In conclusion, I totally agree with you!
Zenith Red Yeh me to I ordered 100000000 If I had 10 cents for every time I see videos and posers say I order one or I’m ordering this week I could afford 100 million of them
The GT3 Touring is also my favorite 911. With its more grownup aesthetic and that amazing engine/transmission, it's perfection. However, I don't understand why so many reviewers have to crap on rev matching. Not everyone can heel-toe or even cares about it, for that matter. I've been driving manuals for over 30 years and I absolutely love rev matching. It seems to me a lot of you guys have something to prove by always pointing out how much you love to heel-toe.
My dream car right here. Screw all the Ferrariswith the paddle snifter crap. Ferrari lost a lot of purists when they stopped making that wonderful gated manual not to mention the 488 is way more expensive and turbo.
I love Zack's enthusiasm about the at 5:05. "I don't understand that." 911's like this one seriously create a sense of occasion about themselves. I can't fault it.
The buckets are awesome, but such a strange pairing with the touring. Don't get me wrong, they're my favorite seats, and definitely what I'd put in a regular GT3 with a cage, but with the touring I'd go with regular seats to easily access the back with bags, etc (kinda the reason I'd buy the touring).
Great review! Just took delivery of mine last week. Drove 1350+ miles in the first 5 days. You have taken the words out of my mouth... this thing is just fantastic progressive engine, ultimate sleeper, meh on rev matching, great suspension for everyday driving, on and on... :)
The mic doesn't do justice for the sound. It's sounds absolutely nuts in real life. No turbo setup will ever, EVER, compare to it. The only thing that's comparable to an naturally aspirated flat 6 are naturally aspirated v12, v10, or flat crank v8.
Gi youre so high. Every damn car is v8 bi turbo set up these days And if you ever driven both, you'll know the bi turbo sounds like shit in comparison to any natural flat 6, flat crank v8, v10, v12 But you've probably never driven those higher class cars...and sure sure, some smaller but extremely high end brands will buy the right to use the Benz twin turbo v12 and v8s. But those cars are much less about the engines and they make it sound better(cough Pagani) Mercedes plague the streets these day with their low pitch, no progression, bad sounding engines. The note doesn't even climb up in scale. It just gets louder. Listen to the new Aston Vantage, its hideous... (and Benz outsources their ugly sounding engine too. Their old v8s sounded much nicer but weren't equipt with proper exhausts, had to turn to aftermarket. This new gen just makes a low pitch dumb noise and when revs climb it gets louder with very minimal pitch progression. Where as for example a flat crank v8 in the mustang sounds miles more musical. Yes...Even a mustang sounds better).
Gi it’s just loud that shrill that a na engine provides gives me shivers. It’s not just the noise it’s the relationship that noise has within the totality of the driving experience. Yah nothing beats a na flat 6 howl, a v10 screams a v12 wails. Sorry man that’s just noise no spirit to it no change in note like the noise that gt3 makes at the last 8500-9000 rpm that’s just glorious.
He's not going to get it guys... Probably someone who's only driven one AMG and thinks it's the end all be all of cars. There's no video or audio that can explain the symphony that a NA flat 6, flat crank v8, v10, or v12 makes. He needs to drive one or be in one to understand (and has to be proper vehicle. There technically are some bad examples of these engine's application flying around.)
Nice review. This is my favourite Porsche in the line-up and has the sweetest sounding engine in existence at the moment. Youre a fortunate man to have driven it.
Perhaps my all-time favourite video of yours Zack! Perfectly conveyed your excitement and admiration for this car. Make mine a "standard" GT3 manual, in Graphite Blue Metallic!
911 R is a 10/10 ... 911 GT3 Touring is a 9.5/10 at 40% of the R’s current cost ... deal of the century for 500 HP of NA engine 9000 rpm, 6 speed manual ... together best modern pure drivers road cars available ... Kudos Porsche !!
What a dream car! Smooth w/tons of power but more easily driven in town &/or as a daily driver....”a bit” understated for a Porsche. Right up my alley!!👍🏻😊
The 911R is a one off, the GT3 touring operates in a different market segment. Sorry but a 911R will always be special just because of the badge, however unlike the original 911R of the 60’s which was more like a GT3 in concept .. a tuned road car for the track.
Thanks for the video Zack. Great job. This GT3 puts my ‘87 Cab to shame (Thanks for the advice on your Q&A show). This new 911 is so so ‘way above’ my league. Beautiful though. Thanks again.
I feel like just that combination of NA & manual is already really good. On top of all that I feel like Porsche makes some of the greatest cars in that field.
This car is essentially Porsche trolling the car flipping market. The 911R was being flipped for triple its MSRP, so Porsche of course was unhappy with the second hand profit being made from their cars so they made the GT3 Touring, which is the exact same thing as the 911R. Both are manual, both have a 500hp NA Flat 6, both are track ready and they look nearly identical.
Good on Porsche for stinging the cynical profiteers of the 911R. It's nonsense to be making 2-3 times the value of a car new to market. Idiots with too much money abound.
Shout out to the cool ass guy in nj, off the parkway in commuter parking lot, that let me look at his model insdie and out. A beautiful darker green color. I drove pass the car and had to make u-turn just to got back a look. Cool car and cool dude!
Yeah the carbon fibre 918 racing seats in a GT3 touring package don't make sense, better option would be the optional 9k houndstooth seats similar to the 911R.
I ended up buying a low kilometre 2016 GT4 which is currently resting in my garage until spring 2019. I've only a few months away until I can drive my dream car.
Glad you got a chance to drive this. I have a 991.1 S. I've shied away from the GT3 because of the wing. This touring package with the 6 speed seems like a 911R in looks and maybe a bit firmer on the suspension setup. No wonder the 911R is dropping value.
A beautiful Porsche !! Naturally aspirated engines are beautiful. Too bad BMW went to cheap jacked up turbos. This is what the Germans do best to bring the real joy back into driving. Great video.
Good review. We met at the VIMC track on Vancouver Island . Have you had a chance to review the new 992 turbo S . I ordered one and am interested in your thoughts
iluvcakes19 not sure really ... 9000 rpm ... 500hp ... Cup car engine and setup ... oh yeah manual ... can you offer a better car to drive a twisty road on a Sunday morning?
Motormouth - not sure if you've test driven the 718 GT4 / Spyder. If so, which would you take for a non daily driver - fun weekday/weekend car? I'm leaning toward a 718 Spyder for the open air experience, but man, the engine in this car sounds intoxicating for sure. Given I agree it wouldn't be used in the winter....just wondering if I'd miss not having a roof and mid engine.
Great video of the exact 911 I’ll get if I could buy one without the $30k upcharge from my local dealer! I love my 911 Carrera, but am absolutely enthralled with the GT3 W/Touring Package!
Absolutely love the enthusiasm.
“You’re having a bad day, you’re having a bad day and you get into this car, and now you’re having a good day” 😂
Billeh right? Great enthusiasm
Billeh Great day*
Yeah I know, this guy is in love with this car! It makes this review.
9000 rpm + MT= Heaven in earth
Mr.BigBoss7 AP1 S2000 but doesn’t compare in power wise
Rx8 :)
On earth**
Zach's love for this car makes this video great and unique. Great video
I couldn't believe it, when that car was announced. I always thought the gt3 was the best 911 configuration, the 4.0 liter, naturally aspirated, with a manual gearbox! *sheds tear*
The most perfect 911 of all times, indeed. This is why I ordered one.
Zenith Red what color did you choose?
Dark red metallic (Carmine).
Zenith Red
Yeh me to I ordered 100000000
If I had 10 cents for every time I see videos and posers say I order one or I’m ordering this week I could afford 100 million of them
What a pitiful loser. See, if I spent my life in a basement watching YT videos like you do I couldn't even afford a Dacia either.
It definitely is. And next gen will most likely be turbocharged so this is the very last chance to get the real thing.
The GT3 Touring is also my favorite 911. With its more grownup aesthetic and that amazing engine/transmission, it's perfection.
However, I don't understand why so many reviewers have to crap on rev matching. Not everyone can heel-toe or even cares about it, for that matter. You can turn it off
@@Motormouth... I thought that you could :-)
only guy to review the touring package, bless!!!

Beautiful car and video - thanks Zack!
I guess he prefers a deep, slow rumble to a high pitched whirr?.... Yeah right.
You're having a bad day at work... and get in this car: You're having a GREAT day!
Dude! You're awesome!!!
The buckets are awesome, but such a strange pairing with the touring. The bucket seats are an absolute must-have for a real GT car. If you need the cushy/comfort feeling of sofa seats, better to get a Carrera S or GTS.
So this car is obviously the driving enthusiasts car.. a secret little gem..as long as you get the 6 spd
VanIsleNuckFan You couldn’t get pdk in the touring
@@burgholte That makes it even cooler
VanIsleNuckFan agreed

Guys, you forgot the NA inline 6 :P
Your Porsche Reviews are very good. It is good that you express that you honestly would own this Porsche over the other models.
"Am I gushing? Absolutely" lol I love the honesty.
Great Video I picked my Touring 2 days ago, 3000 miles ! Big big love
Nice review. This is my favourite Porsche in the line-up and has the sweetest sounding engine in existence at the moment. Youre a fortunate man to have driven it.
Couldn't agree more!
There aren’t words to describe how much I need this car.
Great job stepping up to review this incredible car !! Best pure road car money can buy
Perhaps my all-time favourite video of yours Zack! Perfectly conveyed your excitement and admiration for this car. Make mine a "standard" GT3 manual, in Graphite Blue Metallic!
Nice review, unlike so many obnoxious car reviews on YT. Oh, and what a beautiful Porsche!
Wow. Love it without the park bench wing. 9000rpm redline must be astonishing
Everyday car for an Everyday type of guy like myself. Great review Zack!
Everyday kind of $$ too...

Brian Himmelman Brian, touring has better engine than 911R
Manual transmission only.......HELL YEAH!!!!
What a dream car! Smooth w/tons of power but more easily driven in town &/or as a daily driver....”a bit” understated for a Porsche. Right up my alley!!👍🏻😊
Was just recommended this video on my front page. I love your channel already.
I've never seen you so giddy. That is a beautiful machine -- a machine of dreams for sure.
This car basically kills all the retro mods like the singer etc.. even better it kills the 911R values
The 911R is a one off, the GT3 touring operates in a different market segment. Sorry but a 911R will always be special just because of the badge, however unlike the original 911R of the 60’s which was more like a GT3 in concept .. a tuned road car for the track.

I agree with your choice.
1videofiend GT3!
I've been a big Porsche fan since I was very young. I have a uncle in California with a 70's 911 SC targa that I got to ride in a few times. Thanks.
U make me want to cry - what a beautiful drive !!! Perfection
Really good job !!! Superb car in black without wing ... If I can try this one, one time in my life WOW !!!
Thanks to your video I've ordered two! One for Saturday and another for Sunday drives!
great program. This touring, quite nothing like it. Wing is a must have
Thanks for the video Zack. Great job. This GT3 puts my ‘87 Cab to shame (Thanks for the advice on your Q&A show). This new 911 is so so ‘way above’ my league. Beautiful though. Thanks again.
I had no idea the GT3 came in a touring!!!! Woooooow. Drool.....
Seems like u r really loved this car I wish u that u buy this car one day
I feel like just that combination of NA & manual is already really good. On top of all that I feel like Porsche makes some of the greatest cars in that field.
Agreed....If I could own a higher end Porsche, this would be exactly what I would get.
This car is essentially Porsche trolling the car flipping market. Ryan Pavey They aren't quite the same. The gt3 touring is comparable to the gt3. While the 911R is more comparabke to the gt3 RS.
Sorry you are wrong, check the history of GT3, a Touring edition was always available with only difference this time, no wing.
Beavey Touring better engine and handling
Good on Porsche for stinging the cynical profiteers of the 911R. It's nonsense to be making 2-3 times the value of a car new to market. Idiots with too much money abound.
Shame the Touring is already going way above list price already though. Sadly the way of the motoring world these days, for in demand vehicles ☹️

Keksi the Labrador EXACTLY! ^^^ Nailed it.
?? Same seats as R as LWB in the Touring ... houndstooth is a CXX option
Same seats and there are no houndstooth seat options. Not sure what you’re smoking...;)
Wow, my dream car now. That car is perfect, all the 911 you ever wanted with the n/a flat six. 9k RPM for a daily... yes please!
Gorgeous car. If I win the lotto I'd be buying one. Great video!
I ended up buying a low kilometre 2016 GT4 which is currently resting in my garage until spring 2019. I've only a few months away until I can drive my dream car.

Beautiful car and great review! Me personally I would go for the 991.1 gt3rs in riviera blue that’s my dream
That tacho close up was heaven. Good video but maybe some better audio of the car itself next time, thanks.
God, listen to that. Wow, that sounds incredible.
The one I would get too if I had the money.
As a 991.1 Carrera S owner... this is my dream car. Wow.
It's so good to see someone drive traditional stick not sissy paddle shifters thank you so much

gorgeous car and what a better place to drive it.
A beautiful Porsche !! Naturally aspirated engines are beautiful. Too bad BMW went to cheap jacked up turbos. This is what the Germans do best to bring the real joy back into driving. Great video.
It's not really their choice tbh, emissions regs are forcing the turbo route. It's not the worst thing to happen though.
BWM sucks. It really does. They make NOTHING I want to buy today.
Great video, well done and a beautiful car to be sure.
Super review. Can you switch off the auto rev matching? My greatest pleasure is doing it myself.
Yes auto rev match is defeatable. Cheers.

I agree with you Zack. That car would be perfect less the seat and ceramic brakes. This is my current dream car. Great 10:06 of my life. Thank you.

Same! Manual GT3 is my dream car.
Good review. We met at the VIMC track on Vancouver Island . Have you had a chance to review the new 992 turbo S . I ordered one and am interested in your thoughts
Not yet, can't wait to get my hands on one. Enjoy it!
This may be your best review yet. Awesome car, but I'd take regular GT3 with the massive wing!
Did you try the power shifting (no lift shift)? Its a great feature for a bit faster shifting.
Perhaps the best pure drivers road car on the planet !! Kudos Porsche for listening to your passionate customers

Right on man! Great review....great insights!!
Hope you will test and show us the new 992 GT3 TOURING in same color....I'm like you, roawwwwww, I love this car ! 😁
B e a u t i f u ll .. Simply perfect
Next time please include the startup sound. Thanks for the great video!

Impeccable taste Zach.
Great car and great vid Zac
Great car, great video Zak 👍
Well done, nice review.
This is the motorcyle version of 911. High rpm manual. Perfect
I do agree with you! The most blanced 911 hope they keep all the GT3S NA and not add a turbo for the next gen
Awesome angle in the thumbnail.
Great review of a great drivers' car. Too rich for my blood, but I enjoy seeing the stuff (dreams are made of) be so well represented. Than k you! :)
This is my dream 911 too
Great review. Dam now I want one.
The sounds that car makes! Too bad you didn't have the chance to max it out on the Autobahn. What a job to have i must say.
I love my 2014 Carrera S, manual transmission. I'd would have sprung for the Touring GT3 had it been available at the time, which it wasn't.
One of my top 5’s sleepers
Nice vids, keep up the good works!
My favourite car period !
Me too
lovely spec. very tasteful
The only car I would ever want to own it’s perfect under the radar every day car
The 2022 GT3 touring has to be the most perfect car ever made
My favorite as well, I'd go with the wing.
Pure perfection
Congrats on driving your dream car...again!!!
I wouldn’t have say it better “The Best”
Wow that car is beautifully spect 😍 what do you want more than a Manual GT3 with touring package 😊
7:12 The howl of the engine is so intoxicating! Hmmm....planning to trade my 991.1 C4S for one of these in a couple more years.
Great video of the exact 911 I’ll get if I could buy one without the $30k upcharge from my local dealer! I love my 911 Carrera, but am absolutely enthralled with the GT3 W/Touring Package!
Just wondering: Are you allowed to overtake cars in the US when there's a straight line in the middle of the road?
