Camping in the SUPERSTITION MOUNTAINS, AZ (Plus Hike Massacre Falls & Hieroglyphic Trails!)

We spent a week boondocking in the gorgeous Superstition Mountains and fell in love! It was the most beautiful desert camping we’ve ever done. Springtime in the Superstition Mountains is truly a treasure with wildflowers everywhere, waterfalls and, of course, long horned cows. We spent the majority of time hiking, including Massacre Falls, Hieroglyphic Trail and the Lost Goldmine Trail.

Arrrghh. How could you hike to the falls and not have to see where that water is coming from? It’s in the middle of a desert…..I’d have to know……
