Even if it didn't work out the way you hoped, it's still a very pretty set. I think I would add some random tiny white bits for stars, then rim each nail in a really metallic gold or silver and call it galaxy in a frame;)

What's the normal way of marbling?
There's not just one way or a normal way. It's really just which method you find the easiest?. So you can use alcohol inks to make marbles but I would say that's an advanced level marble technique. But it does make great marbles if you can figure it out. Or you can put some nail polish on a pallet and then mix it around a little bit so that the colors are swirled in there and then you scoop it up with a brush and pour it off onto a wet nail. Or you can just put some drops of nail polish onto the jelly stamper and dab it at your nails which gives more of a smush but it can look like a marble. Or you can do traditional water marbling where you drop the polish in the water and then scatter it around a little bit and stick your fingers straight in the cup. You can even get marble stamping plates.
