1. Lion - but I will say Dark Angels and he especially lacked consistency in writing in the beginning. 2. Khan - the most level headed character. And I also love how his legion is depicted. 3. I honestly don't know... probably Sanguinius, but at the same time he is somewhat too 'perfect' in the end so a bit boring. Russ is by the way one of the worst. Space Wolves and him are just arrogant and utterly stupid through out the Heresey. No other legion did more for the Siege of Terra to happen than them XD Alpharius/Omegon... that is a funny one and a great example of 'mystery' not necessarily being a good thing. If at the end you get all things to come together and the big revelation makes sense its something special. If your story just covers up loose ends by yelling 'I'm Alpharius' it becomes stale quickly (same for Cypher by the way... he might be fantastic or just pointless). So I will wait and see. 'Alpharius: Head of the Hydra' was a brilliant book which took all rumors and then turned them into a perfectly fitting story.
This is such a great take. Your top three is probably one we could agree on too, Khan and the Scars are tremendously underrated. Can't agree more with your take on the Wolves. They're vikings simps without the scary pillaging!
@@the_kieran_show I remember back in the 90s when I briefly started playing 40k I was so proud that the Dark Angels were rivals to the Space Wolves. Such a cool chapter of bad ass vikings - that also meant that the DA had to be something if the Wolves respected them enough to call them rivals! ... imagine my reaction a few of years ago when I returned to the hobby and started catching up on the fluff😶
Unironically, their feelings about Alpha Legion are exactly what they want. You don't get it, and they don't want you to. That's why I like them. The Vulken take was straight hot dog water also 🤣
1.) Alpharius & Omegon - Because they have the potential for good stories (Head of the Hydra was a good start). Plus I like the concept of 2 bodies for one soul and how it affects their "special power". 2.) Jagathai Khan - Because he is the closest to a "good guy" any of the Primarchs came. 3.) Perturabo - Because he is competent, but blinded by his ego. He had the potential to be the most interesting of the traitors, but so far the books have to deliver on that.
@@the_kieran_show it's based solely off of potential. Sadly, so far the books don't really live up to it. There are glimpses of his greatness shining through, but being inactive for so long isn't a good look.
1. Sanguinius - The greates emobidemnt of humanity is also the one who knows how to keep his inner mosnter in check. 2. Jaghatai Khan - The intensity of this character and his clear minded purpose. Also he is one of the Big three who reached Terra. 3. Rogal Dorne - The greatest defender fo the Throne world. Core pillar of the three legions who defended Terra. The pivotal thing is I love those three. 16. Ferrus Manus - Did nothing and died. 17. Lorgar - Snivelling manipulating coward who cannot fight. 18. Horus - Killed Sanguinius.
You guys should do a bit more research before forming your final opinions. You couldn't be more wrong about angron. Not to mention that lorgar is actually a really interesting character, and is a main character in arguably the best horus heresy novels, the first heretic and betrayer.
@the_kieran_show I agree that argel tal is a standout character, but Lorgar shouldn't be dismissed like that. Not to mention that Lorgar also took on Anggrath the Unbound, arguably the most powerful bloodthirster, and won. And this was during his pilgrimage, before he ascended.
Me, thinking about Space Marines: Alpha Legion and Salamanders are my favourite chapters! Me, 4 minutes into this video: Q_Q (I know you are talking about the primarchs. Still funny/sad coincidence.)
1° Sanguinis cause he had it all ; 2° Guilliman cause I love the Roman empire and he is a strategic genuises, if the Imperium was made to be what the Emperor wanted to be, I strongly believe that he was the best primarch to achieve this goal. Besides the Roman empire, he reminds me a lot of Louis-Alexandre Berthier, one of the most famous Marshall of Napoleon 3° Perturabo cause I'm a bitter and spitefull individual so he is one giant cope of mine. Honorable mention that could have made first place (they did not make 2 or 3 cause I wanted those two on the list) : Lion cause he had it all too but the fact that he gives weapons to Perturabo for his vote is just plain corruption which does not align with the nobility that he represents imho. Aristocracy is self respect, bribing people is anti aritocratic so I choose Sanguinis over him. Dorn cause he is, in some aspect, the "cool" version of Perturabo. His unyielding spirit, stuborness but competence pair with his looks, his armor ; my man is simply great.
39:31 These are facts! Facts. Hot take: non of the primarchs are bad characters. I like them all. People let the memes replace good stories. Magnus was right often. He straight up tells Lorgar to not fall to Chaos.
Some absolute mad takes on this haha. Anyroad (and this is pure 30k): 1. Poor old Angron. 2. The Khan’s a bit of a legend tbf 3. Fulgrim is a magnificent bastard 4. Actually really like Lorgar 5. Corax, who almost misses out because of his horrible hairstyle. Also appreciate Guilleman as a 30k character and Sanguinius because Aesthetic. Least faves: Russ, Horus, Dorn, Perturabo.
1. Lion El’ Johnson (My Boy) 2. Roboute Guilliman (Black Suit Superman) 3. Sanguinius (Do I love him?) 4. Angron (The Way of the Sith) 5. Mortarion (The Plague Knight) 6. Lorgar (The Chaos Pope) 7. Fulgrim (Super Model Immortan Joe) 8. Konrad Curze (Batman that Failed) 9. Corvus Corax (Edgar Allen Poe on steroids) 10. Perturabo (Bags of Chips on his shoulder) 11. Rogal Dorn (Stannis Baratheon in 40K) 12. Horus (Basic Warlord) 13. Leman Russ (Demon Russ is better) 14. Jagathai Khan (meh) 15. Magnus (Chill bro……but I get it) 16. Vulkan (Big Daddy E’s Favorite) 17. Alpharius / Omegon (UGH) 18. Ferrus Manus (stepping stone)
@@mattylumley5538true. He has some type of growth and constant change and this need of Faith is then corrupted by his adopted father and Erebus, while he rightly sees the Empire as the thing it is, a tyranny where the Emperor is seen as a Great leader, essentially he realized the Emperor is a Stalin like figure that needs to control and purge everything and manipulate anything to make a empire that in essence, was made from the start to be a failed state that relies on violence.
1) Corax. I have no excuse other than me loving the hell out of Byronian heroes. I took one look at him and just said "Yeah, that one. Looks like he was thrown out during a rainstorm and now he's homeless too. That's mine, I want that." 2) Lion. He's autistic, I'm autistic, what's there not to like? I’m new to the channel and overall loving what I’m seeing, but I have to say that using words like mongoloid really put me off watching more. Hopefully it’s a one off. In general though I really am enjoying the videos. Great energy between you.
1. Angron - He never pretends to be something he isnt and his story is so tragic, a slave who wants freedom by any means even death repeatable just passed up to a new master. From his homeworld to Big E and now Khorne, Angron has no character growth because he was never allowed it, anytime he had a chance to become something better a new chain was slipped around his neck and he was dragged down. 2. Guilliman - 30k i dont give a fuck about bobby G but in 40k he is amazing, he is such an interesting contrast to the modern imperium and the way the universe is weighing on his shoulders and you can just feel it everytime you see him. 3. Mortarian - When i first got into Warhammer Mortarian was the first primarch i was drawn too but for a long time it felt like the more i learned about him the less I liked him until recently I watched a video talking about him that made it all click. Mortarian is a hypocrite, and he knows it. In falling to Nurgle he has become the very thing he hates most and there is nothing he could have done to avoid it, so he doubles down he pursues vengeance against the imperium because its all he has left. That tragedy, that total defeat is what makes him interesting to me.

The Vulken take was straight hot dog water also 🤣
Damn we played into their hands 😂
1.) Alpharius & Omegon - Because they have the potential for good stories (Head of the Hydra was a good start). Plus I like the concept of 2 bodies for one soul and how it affects their "special power".
2.) Jagathai Khan - Because he is the closest to a "good guy" any of the Primarchs came.
3.) Perturabo - Because he is competent, but blinded by his ego. He had the potential to be the most interesting of the traitors, but so far the books have to deliver on that.
Pertyreebs top 3 is left field!
@@the_kieran_show it's based solely off of potential. Sadly, so far the books don't really live up to it.
There are glimpses of his greatness shining through, but being inactive for so long isn't a good look.
PERTURABO N°1, no discussion
Both are interesting/understandable rankings imo
We love to argue so you don't have to! 🤣
Horus at 18 😂😂😂
@the_kieran_show Yup, Never Forgive Never Forget Hours. He killed Hawk Papi.
please do this for the chapter also!
We will add it to the list!
You guys should do a bit more research before forming your final opinions. You couldn't be more wrong about angron. Not to mention that lorgar is actually a really interesting character, and is a main character in arguably the best horus heresy novels, the first heretic and betrayer.
Angron in Betrayer is excellent, but the true stand out of those books is Argel Tal. First heretic is one of the best HH books in the whole series 😃
Me, 4 minutes into this video: Q_Q
(I know you are talking about the primarchs. Still funny/sad coincidence.)
Ooooft :P
1° Sanguinis cause he had it all ;
2° Guilliman cause I love the Roman empire and he is a strategic genuises, if the Imperium was made to be what the Emperor wanted to be, I strongly believe that he was the best primarch to achieve this goal. Besides the Roman empire, he reminds me a lot of Louis-Alexandre Berthier, one of the most famous Marshall of Napoleon
3° Perturabo cause I'm a bitter and spitefull individual so he is one giant cope of mine.
Honorable mention that could have made first place (they did not make 2 or 3 cause I wanted those two on the list) :
Lion cause he had it all too but the fact that he gives weapons to Perturabo for his vote is just plain corruption which does not align with the nobility that he represents imho.
See, someone of culture with these picks.
Vulkan
Corvus Corax
Roboute Guilliman
Jaghatai Khan
Sanguinius
Magnus the Red
Fulgrim
Konrad Curze
Ferrus Manus
Rogal Dorn
Perturabo
Horus Lupercal
Mortarion
Lion El'Jonson
Angron
Leman Russ
Alpharius Omegon
Lorgar
My 100% bias rankings

39:31 These are facts! Facts. Hot take: non of the primarchs are bad characters. I like them all. People let the memes replace good stories. Magnus was right often. He straight up tells Lorgar to not fall to Chaos.
THANK YOU
You should react to The Chill Zone's primarch tier list with Angel_Angron
We'll take a look!
Some absolute mad takes on this haha.
Anyroad (and this is pure 30k):
1. Poor old Angron.
2. The Khan’s a bit of a legend tbf
3. Fulgrim is a magnificent bastard
4. Actually really like Lorgar
5. Corax, who almost misses out because of his horrible hairstyle.
Also appreciate Guilleman as a 30k character and Sanguinius because Aesthetic. Least faves: Russ, Horus, Dorn, Perturabo.
Because of his hair 😂😂😂
1. Lion El’ Johnson (My Boy)
2. Roboute Guilliman (Black Suit Superman)
3. Sanguinius (Do I love him?)
4. Angron (The Way of the Sith)
5. Mortarion (The Plague Knight)
6. Lorgar (The Chaos Pope)
7. Fulgrim (Super Model Immortan Joe)
8. Konrad Curze (Batman that Failed)
9. Corvus Corax (Edgar Allen Poe on steroids)
10. Perturabo (Bags of Chips on his shoulder)
11. Rogal Dorn (Stannis Baratheon in 40K)
12. Horus (Basic Warlord)
13. Leman Russ (Demon Russ is better)
14. Jagathai Khan (meh)
15. Magnus (Chill bro……but I get it)
16. Vulkan (Big Daddy E’s Favorite)
17. Alpharius / Omegon (UGH)
18. Ferrus Manus (stepping stone)
My bad for more than three but I got going. 😂

I got the your rank 18th Primarch and saw enough. :D
😅😅
Lemun russ annoys me so much him and his stupid legion
THEY SUCK DONT THEY?!
Top 3 Primarchs
These are my favs not skills or power level based just the 3 I like
Alpharius\Omegon
Konrad Kurze
Ferris Mannus
Some interesting choices!
Guilliman number one
Lorgar is better pass it on
Khan
Sanguinius
Lorgar
Top 3.
Lorgar top 3! That’s controversial!
@@the_kieran_show he has actual growth as a character, which is something to say compared to the rest of them
@@mattylumley5538true.
That's mine, I want that."
2) Lion. He's autistic, I'm autistic, what's there not to like? I love how he completely fails to read the room / read people.
3) Sanguinius. So fancy, so noble, his only fault is his utter maximalism.
Bonus round: I hate Lorgar and Angron equally and utterly, shared 17th/18th place for me. I wanted to shut both of them up like a time capsule and bury them without instructions or a map
Corax as number one! That’s something you don’t hear very often.
Curze, in midnight clad
I’m Batman
@@the_kieran_show he’s like Zach Snyder Batman
I’m new to the channel and overall loving what I’m seeing, but I have to say that using words like mongoloid really put me off watching more. Hopefully it’s a one off.
In general though I really am enjoying the videos. Great energy between you.
Thanks, hope you enjoy the rest of them!
(yeah it was just a one off, no offense intended :) )
@@the_kieran_showthanks for the reply. I appreciate the clarification.
Angron top is definitely left field!
Top 3 imo
1. Dorn
2. The Lion
3. Perturabo
Pertyroobs is left wing! Big Iron Warriors fan I take it?
So sanguinius is the best after averaging out the lists thought so
Top 3 I think would be sanguinius Lionel and jagatai but with the twist that robutte takes the political role of malkador lol
That’s one way to look at it!
1. Mortarion 2. Sanguinius 3. The Lion.....Alpharius gets saved on 17 cause i gotta have shithead Iron hands mc Iron Hands and if you didn´t know has iron hands on his iron hands last....oh how much i hate that
Morty as top is a big shout!
@@the_kieran_show best Story in the Series, full 180 from "ohh my Daddy said magic is bad" to "abrakazam bitch" his Miniature is absolute stunning and still being alive is also a big plus. And i like the " i dont give a f*ck just walk straight towards them" fighting style
@@the_kieran_showjust arrievd at the " Mortarion is a Mongoloid" Part of the Video, but i guess its fair from a Magnus Fan =D Magnus is cool he would be my Number 1 if TTS was canon
I tend to agree with Kieran on these.
Ah yes me too
At the end of the heresy the Salamanders are practically wiped out, what legion should he lead. I hate people making these lists without proper grasp of what is actually going on.
Disagree, there was enough left for him to have enough interaction with them.
Angron is kind of cool because his story is actually very tragic
Tbh most of the heretical primarchs are!
i think the alpha legion is funny just bc the amount of memes around them
There is a lot of them 😂
@ or them appearing subtly in the background of others my favorite is where it’s just a hand unplugging something peaking out of nowhere
In all fairness, Big E did everyone dirty. If He decided to fill Magnus and the others in on what he was actually doing on Terra as opposed to keeping everyone in the dark, Heresy wouldve been very very different. Magnus did everything wrong, he just didnt know why...
Totally!
suprised y'all like mortarion but not angron
He’s just very 1 dimensional!
I am Negan..
Oh sorry, wrong universe. I am Alpharius
We are Rick Grimes. I mean... We are Erebus.
oh no..... a magnus apologist.....
FOR GOOD REASON
1) Sanguinius
2) Lion
3) Jaghatai
It's a strong case!
Nah you've got to learn more about Angron he has a sympathetic backstory
Love the back story but it's a bit hollow in comparison to others that's all!
@@the_kieran_show It's one of my favourite back stories
You have to admit when he's fighting Gulliman before he turns demon primarch his speech is brilliant
Best in what way what category?
If it’s general competency
Corvus
Sanquinius
Lion
Jaghatai
Guilliman
Dorn
Vulcan
Russ
The second primey is number one. He was so awesome the game had to delete him. The 11th was an asshole
What was his/her name though 👀
I really just came here because I've just listened to Betrayer and want to express my hatred of Lorgar. He sucks. I am cross just thinking about him.
Nah Lorgar was done dirty! What I find incredibly ironic is the Emperor now is fueled by Lorgars original methods.
@the_kieran_show we must agree to disagree
Magnus, Khan, Lorgar
A person of culture I see 🎩
Alpha legion is lowkey cringe
Someone else of culture
I bet your the same type of person who thinks the lion is the best primarch
@@I-am_Alpharius i think it has been made clear in the lore that the roboute gigachadman is the best primarch
Guilliman sucks? Yall are deranged. Not my favorite but you have to respect his impact on the imperium.
One half of us agrees with you!
I raised an Eyebrow at Alpharius being last, but continued. Up to Vulkan being second to last. Eyes wide, I listen to his..."explanation".
"Vulkan might be really cool, I just don't think he is....yeah, just doesn't do it for me."
I can feel my brain melting at this point, thumbs down and left the vid. Please insert more effort.
Each to their own. Just our opinions, like who you like 🤷
Girlyman didn’t beat Angron. Some Ultramarines had to intervene to save him. Might want to re-read that.
P.S.: Magnus blows
Sly Garbo is clearly the best primarch
Ah of course
The Lion is the best. I will not elaborate.
You don’t need to 😎
This guys don't know any of the story of Angron I think... And that's sad, Angron has the most character development of all the traitors primarchs and still they say he's garbage... Just sad.
He was excellent in betrayer. But all through Siege of Terra it’s just “hulk”
perty reebs 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Someone hasn't read the Alpharius book.... How these guys rated personality bereft dickheads like Mortarion higher is a very hot take. Khan, no personality? Really? Did we read the same Path of Heaven? I am just gonna say no.
My list:
1. Khan. (no discussion)
2. Guilliman. (know No Fear)
3. Horus
4. Sanguinious
5. Alpharius (has the best Primarch book)
6. Fulgrim
7. Magnus
8. Konrad Curze (deeply flawed)
9. Perturbato (again, deeply flawed)
10. Lion L Johnson (decent, but ehhh)
11. Corvus Corax
12. Lorgar
13. Vulkan (Nick Khyme books, oof)
14. Angron
15. Leman Russ
16. Rogal Dorn (no personality)
17. Mortarion (no personality)
18. Ferrus Manus
Rogal Dorn that low! Heresy! Truth be told we haven’t read the Alpharius primarch book, but have read the others and he just wasn’t our jam!
@@the_kieran_show I dislike Imperial Fists in general (other than Camdo Diaz and Fafnir Rann). But I really recommend the Alpharius book, it's genuinely good. Most Primarch books are mid at best, but this one is a stand-out. In that book they go deeply into who he is and how he thinks. He's genuinely kinda likeable at times. His only flaw is his extreme arrogance. (Something half the Primarchs suffer from).
Your wrong. Magnus is rubbish!
WROOOONG
Cmon Omegon stop putting propaganda on internet! Dammit

Horrible opinions lads smh
Magnus 4 lyfe ♥️
@@the_kieran_showthat one I do agree with, it's the alpharius opinion that hurt me :(
Just started the video, if it Sanguinius or Guilliman - instant dislike. See ya after 45 mins
Magnus is top 1 against Lion top 1, I'm on Magnus side, truly believe he is having the most tragic story, what can I say? Magnus did not nothing wrong
All is dust!
We didn't disappoint ;)
Opinions are null and void lol. If your main point of not liking a primarch is because, oh I fly, he’s boring or anything without any actually reasoning is quite silly lol.
We don't ever pretend to be serious! 😂
No....just no!
You are so far off the mark!
Garibaldi biscuits are amazing!
We will concede they are pretty good biscuits. Great dunked in tea!
