To me, Bánh cuốn is a cheap and delicious dish, and it brought the culture of Viet Nam's people: hospitable and hard-working. I'm so proud of being Vietnamese
Ah, the food of my youth! My mom and her friends used to make massive batches of bánh cuốn back in the day. Ugh, I need to learn how to make this scrumptious dish for myself!
MY FAVORITE BREAKFAST OMG!!!! Creamy, milky rice tasted soft crepes and minced meat with mushroom, dip in the sauce and go in your mouth... It's like each bite listens to our mouth's every wishes, and we just can't help but crave for more of the dip sauce, eating more and more... Shit I'm not getting a boner over remembering the taste! No! But it's soooo gooooood~
I used to live there when I was young, but I live in the U.S. now. As a matter of fact, I just had some homemade banh cuon two weeks ago. Never had egg in it though. Add some minced shrimp, cha lua, and mixed greens (blanched bean sprouts, chopped cilantro, sliced cucumber, chopped basil, and chopped lettuce)......YUMMMMMY!!!
FuckFace 9000 there are dude, just come down to Fountain Valley/Westminster/Bolsa/Garden Grove(theyre all like one lump of different cities but they’re all right next to each other) it’s like Vietnamese food central bc those cities have a high population density of Vietnamese people. In my opinion, if you want authentic Vietnamese food, those are the places to go since the cooks are Vietnamese people who immigrated here so their cooking style and their food are very authentic. :)
FuckFace 9000 I was just about to reply lol! But yeah, if you do end up coming some restaurants I recommend are My Vi Mi Gia in Garden Grove, Brodard which is also in Garden Grove, and Com Tam Thanh in Westminster. And it’s rly no problem at all, I’m really happy you’re interested in my culture’s food and everything. :) have a nice night!

You can make a fortune from selling banh cuon for sure:)
I recorded this video this morning when I was there eating this beautiful banh cuon. Lovely breakfast!
Raw Street Capture 101 that looks so good! I'm coming back to Vietnam in April, can't wait to eat some banh cuon!

Come to Vietnam and try it. Love the yolk!
What are the brown flakes they sprinkled on the top?
Fried shallot, you chopped it in pieces and you fry it till it got the brown color like that, pretty tasty in banh cuon, bun rieu,,...
