Thank you so much! I know I’ll definitely use it more now. It’s a work of art 😍 I think they probably painted over a new piece of leather, though the texture feels very similar to my original one. The new leather is very soft and smooth with very fine textures 😊

Thanks for watching! The custom repaint job starts at around USD1350 but you pay extra for additional services such as engraving, aging/bubbling etc., shipping etc. They do an amazing job and I'm so happy with it. I'm considering to send in my Rolleiflex too!

As a long-time customer of theirs, it was extra nice to see this video and the quality work that Shueido Camera did. I can think of several important pieces of kit that I purchased there over the years, including a Pentax 67 with two lenses, a Nikkor 70-200 VR II (got it new and it's still my main sports lens), Fujifilm X30, and various used gear. It was always so tempting to just drop in their store and browse over the used gear cabinets, as they source their used gear in Japan and it's always in top condition. Wish I'd sucked it up and bought the Fujifilm 617 they had on display when it was one-third the price it's going for now! BTW, where was that Porsche show? My dad would freak out seeing all those gorgeous 356 Speedsters. His rusted out in the early 70s, sadly, and he sold it for $500.

@@NoctiGirl I just got into he Leica system a few months ago and have been lucky to just run into people who just want to have fun and make beautiful photos instead of caring so much about the name and the prestige. I suppose the most important thing is how the camera inspires and helps us capture what is beautiful and significant to us which hopefully we can share to others. For me, Leica gear is just a joy to hold, currently rocking the M10 and M6 with a small compliment of lenses. After going from Canon to Sony to film to Sony to Fujifilm to Leica+film, I must say I have not been more inspired than with Leica in my hands and at my eye. That's all I need. Thanks again for sharing what you have to tell!
