We dont know what happened to his body. It was thrown in the river and it was never found again. His death works as it is explained. He dies infinitely without a will to fight. If Giorno/GER were to kill more people, they would experience the same MiH did nothing to remove it, since it just transported Diavolo to the new universe to die infinitely again.
