Kinda hit the nail on the head, skating when I'm off work, low-intensity skating. To make matters worse, I'm wearing a helmet now haha. Thanks for the review ninja, I appreciate it. I'll stick to TH-cam videos, instead of half-chasing sponsors.
Love the series so far it teaches what you should be able to do as a skater who wants to get sponsored. I don't care about getting sponsored and right now I'm not good enough either. I can't stand the people who start to skate just to get sponsored I mean you get some "free" stuff. And it's not even free at all. People don't get that being sponsored requires work. It's good that you are educating the people. Have a good one!
Love watching you review people's sponsor vids .... Always cracks me up with some of the shit you say . Loved when you an Johnny played the drinking skate game ... That video had me dying . Keep up the good work and looking forward to more . Don't change a thing
I look forward to this video series, because it informs us in what NOT to do when sending in a sponser tape..even though I cannot currently skate due to an injury (I was learning Bigger double flips :D and I landed weird fracturing the bone that connects to the ankle, so I'm literally watching skate vids because its the closest thing I can get to skating)
that last kid reminded me of when me and my friends would skate around and just try to find anything and everything to skate except that kid was a lot better than we used to be
What do you edit videos with? I have imovie and a friend has sony vegas. I want to be able to do that effect at 8:42 because im making a peng skate edit and I want to use that. Thanks
Please don't stop this series. I know that you have been getting random clips from people that don't even want to be sponsored. I heard this from a few of my friends from revive. This is one of my favorite series that you have done. Keep em rollin :)
Maybe weekly or fortnightly for this series for sure as I think it would help Skaters and guessing a large amount of your followers are Skaters. I watch and follow you for Comedy value
in the pervious videos there were so comments I somewhat disagreed with and thought was unnecessary but this one was really good, all your thoughts, opinions, and comments were all very true and right
This is fucking lame, kid does a no comply front one down a set (a pretty difficult trick) and this dude starts going off about "gay no comply skaters". It's skateboarding, get off your high horse and appreciate the talent for what it is. Any shred of respect I had for this dude is gone. Go skate and do whatever tricks you want and HAVE FUN. That's all that matters.
Marshall Lee He's extremely bias to certain types of skaters, who are (in some cases) extremely talented and he doesn't even give them credit because he doesn't like the way they dress. He's a total kook who shouldn't be influencing anyone..
+Sal Amanders Agreed. I'd have to say that I certainly would apply to this guy's definition of what a "casual skater" is and damn proud of it. The truth of the matter is that all the kids think about nowadays as soon as they start out is the idea of how long it would take them to get a sponsorship before they've even learned the very basics. You gotta learn how to crawl before you can walk and learn to walk before you can run,as there are NO shortcuts to it. If you're not skating for the sake of merely enjoying it for yourself, then you're skating for all the wrong reasons. If everyone had the potential to be sponsored and eventually go pro, then there would be no meaning to becoming a professional skateboarder. (If that really even means anything at all anymore.) Of course it's not like as if there's ever been any shortage of those kinds of people within that sort of status, anyway. After my third or fourth year of skating, many thought and said that I was a good skater, but the truth is that I only saw myself as average at best and when some people asked me if I were sponsored I'd honestly tell them that I am not. Some of these people would tell me back then that I should have tried to get myself sponsored, but by that point I had completely lost the desire to do such a thing because the only thing I wanted to do was just skate and nothing else. Free decks and skateboards were initially a tempting idea for a little while, but it wasn't as if I were constantly breaking my boards or anything like that. Ever since then,it was all about once again skating for the sake of my own pleasure for myself and not for the sake of other people's amusement or approval and I was more than content with that approach ever since without regrets.
You make a good point on the whole self reliant thing or solo filming skater type. Back to the sticker packs it would be cool if you gave the top skater of the review a pack. That is if none are sponsor worthy but still decent. Might help with the quality of skating and get a little competition going. But just an idea.
the kinda of stlye I want is freestyle, Street, and a little vert. I might stick to flat ground and Street tho. I took some hard vert falls the other day.
Dude, that first guy Cody is pretty good, and he's a kid. He is sweating his ass off. He's a skater. There is some good years going to come from him....maybe give him a chance. The guy cracked his noggin and went right back at it...
if anyone wants an example of a tape that got someone sponsored look up " jared gerlinger plaza part 2013 ". its not even a sponsor tape just an edit i made for my friend in a couple weeks
It seems so harsh but I agree with just about everything he says. It's so weird, because I've been skating for a year and some change but my skating is so much cleaner than a lot of skaters, but they can so much.. more I guess than I can do. I never understood this, I don't even have that great of a bag of tricks but my tricks are overall popped higher and landed cleaner. I would say it's their lack of board control but that wouldn't really make sense since they can do more than I can do. I can ollie stairsets and what not like nothing and cruise around the park doing trick after trick and always learning something new every time I ever get to go to a skatepark. I've been working on my consistency more than always trying to learn these new tricks. My first couple of months consisted of nothing but bettering my ollies. I think that's what set me off so well. That and cruising around a LOT. Maybe I just naturally have a better style? But I don't like to brag. I just want to know what people think about this. Earlier this year I suddenly decided to stop pushing mongo when going switch and that has even helped me push and ride switch so easily. I spend a lot of the time skating myself these days because I moved and I go out there and try to get better and better and try to find motivation through skate videos and even meeting P rod last month at the we are blood premiere here in dallas. So inspiring. I guess I just have high expectations for myself. I redo things over and over because I WANT it to be clean. I could never put out some sketchy tricks like some of these guys. I see how the best skate and I try to remember to have my own style but make it look clean and make it actually look fun. I take it seriously, but not TOO seriously. I like to smile, I don't like seeing people look like they're trying so hard. I don't want to put out a sponsor me video until I put out something I know will be worth someone's time. I don't worry about putting footage everyday of a sketchy kickflip. Skateboarding has literally changed my life since I started and I just idk. I'll continue to keep being passionate and persistent with it because it makes me feel happy and progressive in life instead of sitting on my ass playing video games all the time like I used to. And I have to say, seeing how far you've come in something feels amazing. Looking back at how just over a year ago I was struggling with ollies and being scared of ollieing up a curb, now I can half cabs, 180s and ollies up curbs/ledges almost like nothing. I love watching all these older skate parts and interviews of big name skaters. Rodney mullen and paul rodriguez especially. I remember watching a video of Rodney a couple months ago and he was talking about how kids are trying too hard to make themselves known instead of just remembering to have fun, and just skating for the love of it. How a lot of kids will upload a new video and what not just because they learned a new trick. Fuck this is too long. I just wanted to get this out of me to see if anyone else has something to say about it or discuss it with me. I could go on forever about skateboarding.
R.I.P to Adam, the third skateboarder in this episode.
He died? What happened?
+NinjaLifestyle he died ?
+NinjaLifestyle dude did he tho

+eric renquist does theotis roast like steve?
+jdog7063 yes there my favorite to
+eric request theotis is way too nice though
+jdog7063 Yep, hurting his back is the best Stever has ever done after that backflip.
Side note: thinking Steveler hurt his back trying to bri-flip
+jdog7063 he ripped off theotis..
These are your best videos, please continue them!!
one of my favorite series on your channel, you should really keep doing these
Do you accept finger boarding tapes?
Are u serious haha
Send it in and title it as a reg skate vid
+young TGOD YES
Lol You should definitely send it to him and say "Cake Muscle sponsor me tape "
Kinda hit the nail on the head, skating when I'm off work, low-intensity skating. To make matters worse, I'm wearing a helmet now haha. Thanks for the review ninja, I appreciate it. I'll stick to TH-cam videos, instead of half-chasing sponsors.
Do I see hill park, Shawnee park, Kansas City?
You do! KC local for sure
You live in Kansas?? I've skated those parks before 8)
My dad lives in kcmo and I go visit him a lot. I knew I knew those parks
Thanks for sending it in!
I really look forward to this series. Keep it up.
really like what your doing with reviewing sponsor tapes, nobody doing it out there rn
Ninja this series brought meback to your channel. I haven't skated in years but I do still enjoy it as a sport. Keep up the good work.
this is a pretty awesome series, gets people thinking twice before making a sponsor me video
gonna be sending in my footage soon just gotta film few more clipsss
+Kjskateboarding1 me too i have a sick street part but its not finished yet;(
+wifishskates exactly
+Kjskateboarding1 same here, just a couple more clips
i like these series a lot
+rL VisioNz me 2
My suggestion would be to impose your screen in a upper corner as it hides some of the board action when in the lower corner.
I look forward to this video series, because it informs us in what NOT to do when sending in a sponser tape..even though I cannot currently skate due to an injury (I was learning Bigger double flips :D and I landed weird fracturing the bone that connects to the ankle, so I'm literally watching skate vids because its the closest thing I can get to skating)
that last kid reminded me of when me and my friends would skate around and just try to find anything and everything to skate except that kid was a lot better than we used to be
It's really great to see an experienced skater's perspective on tricks and what not to do. Thanks Ninja for indirectly helping me \m/
What do you edit videos with? I have imovie and a friend has sony vegas. I want to be able to do that effect at 8:42 because im making a peng skate edit and I want to use that. Thanks
these have absolutely been my favorite videos on the channel keep making them!
He's being honest and objective. Plus he also gives these video a platform much larger than they achieve on their own.
Basically your calling Sam Tabor gay...
+Soeuv Sam Tabor is gay
Vasectomy Fail Im not saying he is gay, he know he is not, but I say that ninja is basically calling him gay, because he says no-complys are gay.
I thought the same
I mean... Sam tabor is untalented as fuck, he reminds me of my skating in middle school ten years ago
Chris Shaw Skating is about fun not about skill. Why should anyone care how good he is?
Please don't stop this series. I know that you have been getting random clips from people that don't even want to be sponsored. I heard this from a few of my friends from revive. This is one of my favorite series that you have done. Keep em rollin :)
Anyone else like it when the skaters suck cuz ninja makes it hilarious😂😂
Keep doing the series! Its the best series ever! It is the funniest thing ever to watch!
Do you think you will take someone from these episodes and put them on your team
That was not the point of the series, but yeah it's possible.
K just wondering because in the last episode in my opinion I think he was good enough to get sponsored from lots of companies but it's your company
+Shady Gamer he lived in europe
Well if he's good enough it might be worth it
+Shady Gamer Unfortunately it wouldn't be worth it. ninja would lose so much with shipping him gear.
absolutely love this series keep making videos and add more sponsor tapes per video
Where did you get that T shirt from? It's amazing
Loving the series! Keep it up Ninja!
definitely keep doing these I look forward to them every day
this series is fucking prime and it is helping me get ideas of other tricks that i should add into my sponsor me. please keep this series going
Lol! It's funny seeing ninja taking the piss out of everyone
Maybe weekly or fortnightly for this series for sure as I think it would help Skaters and guessing a large amount of your followers are Skaters. I watch and follow you for Comedy value

these sponsor vids /reviews I like
Hey ninja, how come you never run your intro anymore?
Love these ones man 👍🏽
I love this typ of videos
those 2 flat ground tricks were awesome does this guy know wat good tricks are or just wat he likes personally??
"And he wants a cigarette" lol.
Would doing a trick into a late trick off some stairs be considered a "wow factor" in skate videos?
Best series on TH-cam
