    DeMar DeRozan's longevity is underrated. Entering year 15 and still a 20+ point scorer. I didn't expect this when the Raptors drafted him in 09 as a raw athlete and the fact that he's been realitively healthy his whole career while putting up his productivity is fantastic.

      @@debonairdemigod You mean since 2016 because he was "traditional" before that. Steph is a PG just how West was one and Oscar was one. To me Magic is a Point Forward he wasn't defending the opponent PG anyway that was Cooper and Scott who was doing that.
      And outside of Zeke who averaged a 26 ppg Finals when he won his FMVP and has the most point in a quarter in playoff history (not very "traditional" for a PG btw), TRADITIONAL PG don't win SHIT as the first option anyway they all are 3rd or 4th option when they win a ring (look at Cousy behind Russell and Heinsohn, Payton as a role player in Miami or Kidd behind Dirk, Jet/Marion )

      I agree but must say that I agree with the guy in the tiktok.
      It's plain to see what he's talking about. Magic had unconventional size for a PG, but his game was textbook point guard play.
      Meanwhile, Steph would legit be a 2 guard if he was any taller. He's only slotted in at the 1 bc of his size. That's not to say he hasn't or can't play point, but realistically, he's not a point guard given his MO of affecting the game.

    The reason why people keep trying to hold on to the idea of a treditional point guard is because guards today are asked to do more and therefore inharently more skilled on average. Steph affects the other teams defense more effectively than magics passing because Steph is a threat with OR without the ball. Steph being on the court changes the entire defensive scheme for teams. Magic needed the ball in his hands in order to have that effect on teams with his passing. Magic didn't create opportunities without the ball by setting screens or by being a dangerous off ball shot maker. Steph is the better PG
