    2013 IMO was the best overall version of LeBron because of his defense . But what he did in 2018 was some straight up LeThanos shit. The fact that he went toe to toe with possibly the best team of all time, looking like he could beat them by himself, is a feat that sounds straight out of a book about Greek Gods.

      Kyrie Irwing left and did nothing of his career since. He could have been one of the greatest number 2 of all time. Those posters of KD, Curry, Clay and Draymond on one side and Lebron with any random guy on the other were great, though.

    I'm a Celtics fan but even I was impressed with this playoff run. Coming back on Indy, LeBronto and that crazy side of the glass shot, the LeBron bomb cyclone game in Boston when there was that crazy weather going on. Even though my celtics went up 2-0, I just had a feeling LeBron was gonna pull it out, even in game 7 when the Celtics were up by like 15 in the 2nd quarter. What I really remember from that playoffs though as a Celtics fan was how well Jaylen Brown played against LeBron. Everybody tenders the Tatum dunk, but Jaylen going blow for blow in game 2 to carve out a win when LeBron dropped 23 or so in the 1st quarter but Jaylen managed to drop like 18 in the 1st quarter too and the Celtics held the lead. LeBron was on another level in that playoffs, he was past his prime physically but his hands was so much better than in his prime years that even less athletic he was a more formidable player.

    I think Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time, and that is heavily dependant not only on ability, but legacy and impact. As a Warriors fan I don't like Lebron, but 2018 playoff Lebron might be the single best player I've ever seen. Everytime he was on the court it felt he was in absolute control, and the outcome of the game solely depended on him. It was sad we swept him though, because people use that to dismiss what he did.

  • @legendarywiimaster
    @legendarywiimaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    This run showed how much better the eastern conference was at the time then back then. The Cavs was the second seed in ‘07 with 50 wins and faced two .500 teams. In 2018 they was the fourth seed with 50 wins. In the first round if the Cavs was the first seed they would’ve faced the 43 win Wizards. Instead he faced a 48 win team that was the fifth seed led by breakout Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner, and a young Domantas Sabonis, a 59 win team lead by DeRozan and Lowry, and 55 win team which was injured but still very good led by Al Horford, a rookie JT and a sophomore JB. They also had good bench players like Terry Rozier. If the Rockets didn’t choke it would be LeBron vs Harden. Mind you the Rockets don’t have their second best player who is also their best perimeter defender. Cavs could’ve won that series and they should’ve won game 1 against the Warriors if not for three unfortunate events that happened within 4-5 seconds of each other. I think if LeBron was better on D they could’ve won games 1 and 3 but then again he was already playing 46 minutes a game and the rest of them team was trash defensively. The offense didn’t know what to do the 2 minutes per game LeBron was off of the floor during the playoffs. This playoff run has to be the greatest one that didn’t result in a chip and the only better playoff run was Hakeem in 1994. I wished LeBron went off on JR for that fumble in game 1. Tbf I think if LeBron was more aggressive as a leader it would’ve helped, his leadership aggressiveness isn’t ideal but Tbf LeBron on the court lead by example on what a legend should do. Perform. He put up 35, 10, and 9 on 46 minutes a game, hitting two game winners and winning two game 7s and allowed the Cavs swept the Craptors. LeBron also had a series winning block in game 7 against the Pacers, (and no it wasn’t a goaltend). Also, if it wasn’t for LeBron the Cavs wouldn’t have even made the playoffs. Sure the Cavs had good offense, but that was in large part due to LeBron. The fact that he had 51 points in game 1 against the Warriors is amazing. I get the Warriors were 11th in defense but still doesn’t change how LeBron almost won game 1.

    If Bron gets slightly luckier with his teams, he is easily, without a doubt, the second best player of all time. Ir not the outright GOAT. In my opinion, the only massive stain on his legacy is the fact he WANTED the trade for Westbrook which basically derailed LA from ever competing again. That being said, AD's health has been at least as big a factor.

    There is a universe where instead of going to LA, he signed with Houston instead. I say this a biased Rockets fan, but I wish I had gotten to see that one. Like holy shit, the 3 point guard lineup is just something that on paper is godly. The passing IQ wouldn't be off the charts, it'd be off the planet. And I think it could have worked because Harden had gotten better defensively CP3 was an all defensive guard, and Lebron is Lebron, and they were all different sizes as well.

    This run was epic but if we really put it into context……
    First round pacers was a very mid team led by a very mid player in victor oladipo…. That series should’ve been over in 5… people were shocked it went to 7 even with the help or lack there of lebron had….
    2nd round he owns the raptors I give him that but as dom said the team as a whole played better that series kevin love had 20-10 for the series etc etc….
    3rd round baby Celtics with 2 of the all star starters missing due to injury…. Rookie Jason Tatum and sophomore jaylen brown…. Yeah bron should’ve won the series and should’ve been less than 7 games if you ask me…

    • @legendarywiimaster
      @legendarywiimaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pacers is a mid team yet they have Victor Oladipo and they have rim protection. If LeBron misses that game winner against the Craptors it’s not a sweep, mind you the assist number from LeBron generated a lot of points for his teammates. The team did play better. Also the Celtics had great chemistry and won 55 games without Gordon Hayward. Sure they lost Kyrie but that team was capable. Also Jaylen Brown played great and the Cavs was down 2-0 and LeBron still dominated especially in game 7. Also he almost won game 1 for the Cavs in the finals. He never faced a team that won less than 48 games, and mind you the east in 2018 was much better than the run in 2007. This Cavs team had no business of even making the playoffs let alone the finals
