    I think Dave is responsible for a massive purchase curve on the Katana, I know his video demonstrating this convinced me to buy a 100 watt version, so BOSS know this guy moves units, plus these pieces of audio genius are truly incredible value for us ordinary non-millionaires. Thanks Dave

    Dave! I just wanted to say on a different note about the Tone City Golden Plexi 1 pedal. THANK YOU! Oh my word! I purchased it, and it is more than epic on my Blonde Deluxe Reverb Tone master! That Celestion pushes those mids so well, it gives it that "Plexi" sound and then it does the most craziest thing I've been really wanting but can't afford it. It also does the 63 Brown Face Princeton type sound. It is so epic 🤣. That WILL be the permanent pedal on my pedal board.

    Hey, at 24:24 you say "it is not really meant for busking" Why do you say that ?
    I want an amp for busking and the Dual LC [from what I hear] has a way better sound than the Street Cube 2, even though it is a bit smaller [so might bot new as loud].
    Do you think the Dual LX is loud enough for busking ?

    • @thedavesimpson
      @thedavesimpson  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if it’s on the floor you’d struggle with it on a crowded high street. There’s also no mic input so singing is out of the question.

    • @FlorentBraquart
      @FlorentBraquart ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thedavesimpson For the no mic input I'm fine as I like to play with a RC300 and loop beatbox and sing with the mic directly plugged in the pedal.
      That being said, I am really looking forward to hear the speaker outside and to hear what you think about it. Tell me if it's LOUD, I love the sound of it, I just want it LOUD for the outside world ;}

    I still got my Roland Cube Lite after 7yrs and yes these are awesome little powerful solid state amps w/dual 3” speakers 🔊 🔊.
    I Like my cube options: Gain - volume- chorus - reverb - distortion - overdrive - Clean settings are spectacular.
    If I’m not on my Boss 100 watt amp then I’m on my Cube Lt.
    Dave throw on a metal guitar then add distortion/reverb or chorus and stand back , it’s going get scary lol

    I was looking at this the other day, only thing that put me off was the size (that's what she said 😁) i degres, so i ended up getting another pedal, a daisy chain power chord, because now I've 4 pedal's, and i just got my Orange crush so wasn't a must buy. But it's definitely something for the future. Ps, can we hear some more gig story's? That one about the drummer and the chick in the garden cracked me up. The speaker itself is not bad, but it's engineer just put extreme high cut and low cut pre-EQ in Every amp type even include the 'stereo in', which made it sound muddy and awful. That's a sad thing because only the aux in channel is usable for me. I tried the global EQ, a little bit help but sound still unnatural. Just don't understand why BOSS put a stupid pre-EQ on every channel...

    Dave, I think you're awesome, man. But you just said that Boss are awesome, lovely, and kind human beings. They're trying to make money off your back, and I'm sure you're smart enough to know this. So how can you say they're awesome, lovely, kind, 'human beings' with authenticity? Remember that perceived authenticity is directly proportional to trust.

    • @Lamz..
      @Lamz.. ปีที่แล้ว

      Boss corporate is a money monster, a kind sales rep shouldn't influence your evaluation of the gear they put out. This guy could be replaced tomorrow.

    • @kevinhill6079
      @kevinhill6079 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean, isn't that the goal of every corporation? Perhaps Mr. Dave is just excited to try out new gear from a manufacturer he's fond of. And perhaps he's only ever had good experiences with their reps.
      Also, most of the people who follow Mr. Dave's channel do so because HE is always honest and kind. So when he tries out a new product, we know he's going to give it to us straight, at least the way he honestly feels about the gear.
      In most other situations, I would completely agree, the youtuber would be working with Boss or whomever, trying to move units to put more cash in everyone's pockets.

    • @JulioMacarena
      @JulioMacarena ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevinhill6079 hey, look, I know there is probably nuance here. And Dave is clearly a very loving and lovely dude. But to say that Boss "kindly" sent it out and then say that they are "lovely human beings" (I.e. Boss) raised my alarm in terms of bias - cos the first is not true, at the very least. In that, I'm sure it has raised the alarm of others. It's feedback that can be ignored, if desired. But it's real and worth noting.

    • @kevinhill6079
      @kevinhill6079 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JulioMacarena I completely get your point. And I'd be annoyed to hear that sentiment from pretty much anyone else. And I am annoyed when I hear it from mist anyone else.
      Mr. Dave loves boss gear and if he's able to work with them and not sacrifice his integrity in the process, good for him. He can save some money and find new gear he loves.
      I guess I just don't see why/how taking this particular argument to Mr. Dave accomplishes anything. It kinda seems the only one it affects is probably Mr. Dave. I think he works hard to keep everything honest and sincere. If he's only ever had good experiences with Boss and their staff, even if they work for a corporatized money machine, that may actually be how he feels.
      There are a handful of brands/manufacturers who I refuse to give my money too. That doesn't mean I tell the sweet old man selling guitars at the shop up the road that he's being dishonest or insincere, working as a sort of shill for those brands because he sells their gear.
      I'm hoping I don't sound too bitchy, and that you didn't think I was trying to start a pissing contest.
      Either way;
      Much love, my friend !

    • @JulioMacarena
      @JulioMacarena ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kevinhill6079no worries mate. Happy for you to voice your opinion. The sweet old man you mention doesn't tell me that Boss are being kind when they give him their gear to promote and that they're (the company) lovely people. He just concentrates on the product and the company's past reputation of quality and after sales service and is honest about his assessment of it (Hopefully! If I pick up signs that he might not be authentic, I'll be more wary of him and the product). If he's someone i care about and comes across as unauthentic, I would let him know that so he is aware. Happy to leave it there. Best to you. :)
