Some people think Mike Patton is an asshole for saying stuff like this, but he was really just self-aware about how dumb and shameless a lot of rock stars are. When I watch old footage of Mike Patton when he was young, at least to me, most of the time he just seemed embarrassed of the "rock and roll" scene and the ridiculousness of fame. But he wasn't able to handle it in a lighthearted way like some of the other FNM members. He was not good at hiding how pissed off he was, plus he always had that look on his face, so people thought he was just being a jerk.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last couple of days =)
Well he was incredibly spiteful towards Jim Martin and got him thrown out making the band sh*t overnight so it's reasonable to think of Patton as a nasty piece of sh*t.
i respect him alot... i don't know why people think this! he isn't phony/douchey or a prick at all he speaks his mind...my best buddy was friends with him and described him as out of the box type guy...really cool... nothing wrong with having a spine... and he is actually very nice
I miss 90s rock bands like this, just jokin around, full of confidence, really good friends smashing life livin every man's dream. Now everyone has 3 beards, has no sense of humour, has anxiety and thinks the world is in the intranets 😂😂
Oh yeah, you do have a big crowd! Singers (Mike) and guitar players (Jim Martin) are sort of "problematic"? Really?!... that explains a lot! lol Still, its a pity we never saw Jim playing with the band since Angel Dust... his riff were the signature of the band.. well, along with vocals, bass, drums and electronic/piano of the other guys! I just miss Jim guitar from Angel Dust and The Real Thing... would LOVE to see him play again with the boys!
I gotta tell you. I used to think that too. I had a really hard time doing this, because when I listen to Angel Dust, I listen to it as a whole, but I picked up my guitar and got to practice. Angel Dust from a guitar playing stand point is so goddamn simple it seems pathetic. The Real Thing has a lot more interesting guitar parts, but I'm just speaking truthfully, Angel Dust's guitar parts could have been played by almost anyone. Looking at you Dean Menta. I suspect the worst, but who knows?!
@@NobodyCaresALotin my opinion coming up with riffs that are punchy and NAIL IT is what make a great guitar player... then, if they're more or less easy to play is secondary... that lead us to tech skills evaluation and not composition skills... and Jim does have both! Often, to me the simple riffs sound better than cacofonia riifs... but that is my personal taste! ;-)
@@NobodyCaresALot na man bullshit , hear a song like middle crisis , those guitar riff are so simple but essential for the song , and that goes for all the album the bass lines are simple to and they are incredibly good
@@edybocman76 it's not bullshit. It's been long theorized that Menta supplied a few of the guitar tracks off of 'Angel Dust'. I hope one day big Jim steps up and sets the record straight. I like how punchy it is, I like the simplicity of it, but on 'The Real Thing', Jim Martin made a Djent sound and it was popular. It was great. I'm not even a fan of that style of playing but it was bitching! 'Angel Dust' is a group effort that downplayed the guitars and made everyone equal in contribution to the material we all know and love. It's my favorite album but I suspect it isn't Jim's.
@@edybocman76 "Middle Crisis". Nothing quite like that great track. Pretty similar to "Place of Sunlight", "Lanolin" and "Van", or maybe "Bigger and Bigger", "Much Things Are Better", then there was "Good Doctor" and "College". Lest we forget, "Large Loss" and "Be Submissive". But then it closes out with "Meth Mussolini", "Coom Tosser" and "Daylight Sherrif". If you had the European version "HARD" was the last track. Just kidding, buddy 😀😁
And this here is why faith no more were never your typical metal band. They're tastes are too eclectic to be pigeon-holed into metal. They are proper musicians that write music unhibited by genres. This is why they are great! Back in the day, there were some really dumb metlers that were convinced that metal bands had the most gifted musicians. This simply is untrue.
I've noticed you have a clip of the ITV Chart Show before the Faith No More interview !!! Do you have the specialist charts from the ITV Chart Show to upload ?
