- People often associate nuisance noise with loud house parties and loud music coming from the neighbour’s house or garden. But nuisance noise isn't just from the obvious sources. It is anything that can be heard persistently and continually, that causes stress to the individual or individuals affected. For a noise to be a legal nuisance it must be unreasonable, excessive and interfere with the use and enjoyment of your home. Some examples include:
• Dogs being left in a garden all day/night to bark
• Televisions being watched in bedrooms for long periods of time, especially at night
• Persistently wearing hard shoes inside on bare floor boards/laminate flooring, especially in flats
• Children constantly screaming or banging, especially late at night

100% agree! Ever since i moved to England i have this problem. Many houses are connected and the walls are thin and made from wood. And also the gardens are small. People can hear everything. It’s uncomfortable for both sides!

i have autism,and its hinestly the worst when yu can just hear the small murmers of next doors tv through your wall. it honeslty makes me feel like im shredding
My neighbours have developed this wonderful habit of slamming their front door at random fucking hours of the day it could be at 3-5pm (which I don't mind because that's normal hours) but it could be as late as 11pm- half 1 in the morning and no joke the first time they did it I was trying to sleep and it actually woke me up. I have to sleep wearing headphones on listening to white noise I feel sick and anxious majority of the time it's crap.
you shouldnt have to listen to that to be honest, after 9pm that level of noise isnt cool, better to retaliate in some way, if they have a garden go out and sit in it a few hours everyday or something, hope you moved if it was a year ago.

This is exactly what I'm dealing with.My neighbour and I share a common bedroom wall and his kids crank the tv at high volume all hours of the day and night.I have gone to work on 3 hours sleep and having to get up at 4:30 am.I drive to work like a zombie,and worry I will have an accident.I have been physically sick from the stress of it all.This kind of annoyance can literally drive you crazy.

Dealing with it right now. At this minute. Thursday 4th of June 2020 at 23:16. Cupboard doors banging, dining chairs dragging, weird marble ball sound, heavy stomping, toys being rolled on the floor, front door slammed in, plug sockets going on & off.
We had a nice old lady living here before, towards the end of her life her TV would be a bit too high but oh well the poor woman was dying, we could deal with that but 2 months ago a new family moved in. From DAY 1 I haven't had a full 8 hours sleep. I have the worst migraine that won't go away. I hate night time because I know I wont be able to go to bed until 2:00 when they finally stop their hellish noise. Then at 6:30 it starts again. I'm 17 with a manual nighttime job. I NEED MY UNINTERRUPTED SLEEP!! I'm going crazy with the noise, I just cry everytime I come home now. I hate council house's.
I feel the same way bro. I live in watts in the project. And not only loud noise but we can't even open the windows without a blast of weed in our room. I don't know whether they do these kind of things on purpose. It's as if they don't have a heart for other people

I wish all councils took it this seriously, hundreds of thousands of lives are being ruined across the UK by selfish antisocial behavior and you feel powerless. Talking doesn't work, police don't work everything seems structured to support the offender. I've had 18 months of a noisy neighbor all through lockdown late night parties, antisocial behavior, psychotic screaming at children, swearing and music in the front and back gardens. I have to be up at 4am to clean the hospital and I've had this for the entirety of the pandemic. Thinking about filming them and posting on fb and TH-cam to publicly shame them I've got so desperate and upset with it all. Tried talking to them politely and not so politely nothing helps. Totally selfish bastards.
Wear headphones to sleep and listen to white noise it blocks out most noise especially if you are stressed. I use it sometimes when i have a headache it works well cant do much in the day though only options are soundproofing the walls sadly.

She got back from work let them know after 11 hours of work she doesn’t want to hear the banging and female from next door increase banging. We had to call an ambulance as she got this property for her heart problems.

Exactly. People associate loud neighbors with music and partying. I have these chinese women next door who get drunk almost every other night and talk loudly till 2 AM. I was feeling i may be too sensitive for this kind of noise as it aint any music or loud banging but this video proves there are many others like me. #SPEAKUP

This goes on in the USA too! I live downstairs from the most inconsiderate people! If you don't work, have kids and want to live a noisey, chaotic lifestyle,PLEASE do everyone a favor and buy or rent A PRIVATE HOUSE! Don't hole yourself up over a single persons head who works everyday and just wants a little peace and quiet when they come home from work! Be considerate, DON'T DISTURB THE PEACE or else you will have to be disturbed right back! I wait until I know these inconsiderate idiots above are sleeping and then I PAY THEM BACK! The council speak to the neighbours and it’s your word against theirs. I have lost so much trust and respect with Councils regarding this issue. It’s not taken serious enough. This can make someone seriously unwell! and seriously damage their mental health!
1.There should be someone available to visit the flat when this is happening. 9/10 neighbours like this have been complained about before.
2. Make it illegal to have tvs on shared walls.
3. Surround sound should not be allowed in a flat. You want surround sound? Live in a house or somewhere where your surrounds don’t have to hear it. Maybe la student hall would be more suited?
I know allot of good people suffering with this issue, who have jobs and work long shifts. It’s wicked!
Councils need to step up not just say they are stepping up.
If you Drive through one of your local bus lanes they nail you to the cross with a fine. And it will be through your letter box by the time you get home from work.

@@Turtleback8024 Get some noise cancelling headphones for the day and a white noise machine for when you want to sleep. The white noise device will block out the noise and you get used to it being on pretty quickly. All the best, i live next to the worst people also.

I'm going thru this in Texas right now as I'm typing. Every night my upstairs neighbors feel the need to invite people over, play music, and talk really loud until 3 or 4 a.m. including the weekends. One of them even laughs like a hyena and when she yells it's like a dying animal. I started recording every thing on my phone so I can play it back to the police and property manager as my proof that I'm not exaggerating on the noise. My lease is up in a few months, Thank God! I wish the new neighbors lots of luck.

Well...I have a problem with neighbour and his kids trespassing. No council will ever do anything. They go in whenever they want to get their balls. I asked not to throw them in.Nothing.I asked not to throw rubbish in .Nothing. They are destroying my garden and plants. When I confronted their father I got abuse back and he blamed me for saying anything. You can't reason with stupid I guess. Those people feel more entitled to do what they do because apparently "I'm only renting" , so in their mind I have no right to respect, privacy or a right to own anything in my garden and his hord can roam free as they like. I'm fed up with their logic...

i am hving this issue hir in hong kong even after spoke to them n management they do it more intentionally, its bad for health to be honest im now having this fear n waking up feeling so anxious n scared hearing the noise from push or pulling chair sofa or tables n kids running

@@dpbarbie9560 my old neighbor jst sold the house last mnth n now need 3 mnths renovation till nxt year february, now every morning at 9am we can hear noise but this thing we cant do anything cos legally they are renovating the house, so hopefully the new famly hv consideration, like i told the management bfre n that ex famly, we all hv the rights to do what we want in our home specially legal hours, but no one has the right to bother ppl weather legal or not legal time as we live in a condominium! just abit of consideration.

I found base sound waves that I play. Penetrates through the wall. Also over 200 sound affects. Crying babies, dogs barking, roosters crowing etc. just type annoying neighbors. You’ll have people sending all types of videos. I have tinnitus and have videos, sound waves for relief.
