I've had both the full sized PX4 Storm F type (paid $299 used) and the compact- much preferred the Storm, but that's just me. A BIG carry, for sure- ergos superb. Can only imagine having Langdon trigger package....WOW! Unfortunately, same gun now closer to $750 (and that's if you win it in a card game)! Mine was a police turn-in, found in Texas shop online. They had like 30!
@@joelcane4882 I purchased mine used also at $450. I honestly believe it had never been fired. It had no wear marks anywhere. I have upgraded to the stealth decockers and changed out the hammer spring. It has been 100% reliable with all different kinds of cheap ammo and any HP’s I’ve tested in it.
Agree 100%. 1911 triggers are special like no other - snd for sure - the PX4 is a hidden gem. Langdon just makes them even more special. Thank you so very much for watching!
@@Mike_Hawkener absolutely! It looks like they did a nice job. That coupled with the optic and the comp/light combo completely changes the aesthetic in my opinion.
Beautiful gun, thanks for your other vid saying they are being discontinued. It’s on my bucket list and plan on getting one here soon before you can’t find them.
This looks like such a great gun. I picked up a stock Compact Carry for $650 a couple of years ago. It was designed in conjunction with LTT, has the grey coating, sights, and competition trigger group, but doesn’t have many of the upgrades your custom LTT version does, and the comp trigger was still pretty heavy compared to what LTT does. I still loved it, but it was just bigger than I wanted to carry, so I sold it. I do have the 92 Elite full size from LTT, which has the NP3 coatings and of course the trigger work, crowned barrel, etc., and it is just an amazing firearm and trigger.
Just to clear up any confusion, there is the LTT ($1200ish)version, and then there is a Beretta version($800ish) of the LTT that is pretty much the same thing and costs less. The "stealth" lever decocker is trash like the original PX4 levers that cut fingers. They make a 92 version lever for the Compact Carry, and it makes it perfect.
I have several LTT's and have owned the px4 compact with over 1k rounds through it without a failure of any kind. Common comment from others is they think it's ugly. Then they shoot it and they love it. It's worth mentioning that Ernest Langdon ran 50,000 rounds through a full size Storm in one year. Anything that Langdon does is well worth the investment! They are also great people!
I picked up a lightly used stock Px4 Compact Carry earlier this week to replace a Compact I foolishly sold a few years ago. The Compact Carry fixed several complaints I had with the standard model: better sights, larger mag release, lower profile left side only slide release, and stealth levers. Mine sadly didn't come with extra mags, the box or accessories. This one will probably be going to LTT for NP3 , trigger job and RDO with in the next year.
I carry the normal px4 compact with the beretta performance trigger group or whatever its called. Im not the biggest fan of the looks, it has grown on me but man does it shoot amazing.
LTT uses Wright Armory out here in Arizona for cerakoting and what is now called NT7 and NT7 plus rather then NP3 which no longer exists and was proprietary to Robar which went out of business. Just some fun facts. Fellow Compact Carry owner here.
I had a 40 SW storm and it was an incredible shooter. Honestly, if i could have gotten a 357 Sig barrel for it i would have kept it. But those horrible hand chewing safety ears were terrible. That said, i would love to try the LTT compact carry. Looks great to me
Yeah - those safety ears are crazy sharp.!! Had them on my full-size but getting them switched out at Langdon- along w a new trigger and upgraded sites!
On my list - a Langdon red dot version one day. This one took all my “mad money” I had saved up. Which optic do you run on there??Thanks for watching!!!
I have the compact and I have four magazines and I want to get that one, like you I'm a lefty and I practice with my left hand release the slide and 92x with my left hand.
They are way better (in my opinion) than the stock sharp wing style decockers. I sent my full size to LTT and had them install the 92 style levers and have been very happy w those! Thank you for watching!
I want to get the Ernest Langdon PX4 Black and go to that class that you have the certificate for in your unboxing. But they are never in stock. I want the Beretta shotgun he has too.
They've stopped production on the PX4 in 2023. It seems like they're open to limited releases in the future so if you want one express your interest to Beretta
Thanks Dow watching. Looks like you can get it with a safety if you prefer. From LTT’s website: All PX4s from LTT come as G-decocker models standard, please add the F model safety to your order if you would like it installed before shipping.
Question, what's going on with the fit of the frame to the slide on the LT modified pistol in rear below the hammer ? The frame looks chewed up .... the finish looks crazy ?
Only get the trigger bar from Langdon don't bother installing the competition fire control unit , I have two PX4'S both with the trigger bar and one with competition unit . the 11 and 12 lb Hammer Springs are great the 10 lb spring is way too light it's dangerous
It does to me. Maybe it’s all in my head but just don’t feel much muzzle rise at all - feels like gun just being pushed straight back into my hand. Oddly enough my HK45C gives exact same feeling and it’s a tilting barrel design….go figure. I find it (PX4) to be very easy to shoot fast and stay on target better. Thank you for watching!!!
Muzzle action greatly reduced, to the tune of better than many 9s. Guys who've shot my PX4 Storm (full sized) in .45 and an assortment of my 9s say they'll take the Beretta all day. Does more for the GUN but your peace of mind is pretty sweet, too.
Im a bigger guy 6'1 250 lbs , i concesl carry the px4 storm .40 full size comfortably, i carry in a alien gear tuck holster behind my right hip , us bigger guys cant appendix carry lol digs into our gut

Beretta offers 2 other decockers.. the one I got is perfect. It has a lip on the bottom front.
The weight of the Double action, allows me to leave the safety off. The Beretta safety is annoying.
