I liked perekh for the sens, but i think i like yakemchuk's size better. Hes raw, and he'll take a few years im sure, but give him some time with shelley kettles and pair him up with someone defensively responsible like jake sanderson and we could have something special here

It’s crazy how much they talk about Levshunov character at the number two pick overall. As if this is the elite trait needed to be a superstar in this league.

Michael Hage was the most notable story in my opinion.

Great show as always! As a Finnish hockey fan I´m happy about our two first rounders. I really hope that some team will take a chance on Tuomas Suoniemi in the later rounds. I think he´s got some X Factor in his game even though it´s possible that he never even gets to the NHL. But if he gets to the NHL, I actually think that he could contribute. I think he´s clutch. Then I have a question about the draft in general. Why are there 225 draft picks instead of 224? I don´t get it.

This draft should be a reminder to us fans that "experts" have their rankings and teams with dedicated scouting staffs have theirs. Levshunov, for example, was the consensus slam-dunk defensman not even two months ago. Then, the shiny new toys rolled in, and most "experts" didn't even think he was the third best! And look where those dmen went.

Looking forward to seeing how Sennecke develops! I stopped criticizing ducks scouting bc they’ve hit on all the recent high end picks.

Did I miss where you talk about Buium going 12th to the wild?
How do you not talk about that? He was basically projected to go 4-9..
It was easily one of the biggest surprises and a huge pick for the Wild..

If it were not Ottawa which I projected Zeev would go but they chose another defensiveman which I projected where he would go was the Sharks looking at all mock drafts. But remember Matvei Michkov was #7 dropping from #2 which he should’ve went but contract dropped his stock but at end he’s coming up next season after only 1 year in KHL.

Sharks did great picking up Celebrini and a top notch 2 way defensive man in Sam Dickinson whom was projected in the top 9 with Zeev and at the end they were looking for fit but if Dickinson was probably higher on the board than Zeev, Sharks traded up to grab at least one of the top defensiveman in draft. I’m happy with selection and Sharks and Wild got steals. I wanted Zeev because we could’ve had 3 of the 4 players in the Frozen 4 last NCAA season. Will Smith from BC, Celebrini from Boston, Zeev from Denver. That would’ve been sweet but I’m happy with Dickinson.

time will tell, but I have heard very smart guys who felt many of the top rated Dmen were overrated...however these same guys felt Stiga is one of the best talents in the draft and he has yet to be picked.

You are not the only one disappointed in KD's incompetence. He completely mismanaged the draft process, wasted two 2nd round draft picks, and badly overreached to draft Marek Vanacker at No. 27 when he was probably a mid-2nd round pick who would have been available with their No. 50 pick. KD is like a child in a candy shop, not a calm, experienced GM.

@dlphcoracl9645 What if Davidson felt the way you did but was alerted to a team's intention to draft him in the next couple of picks? Central scouting had Vanaker ranked 17th, and he put up 82 points playing with a torn labrum. Don't get me wrong, I'm feeling underwhelmed as well, but we just don't know.

"I wouldnt take Trevor Connelly in the 1st rd myself".. Even Hockey Analysts succumbing to Woke politics. Uggggh..He took a photo of a friend playing w/ blocks. He was 'accused' & found innocent of calling an opponent the 'N-Word. Somehow that's used against him. Then the other BS critique is the major penalty at W-U-18. At worse Connelly is guilty of trying to spark his team w/ a huge hit, instead of making a safe hockey play..Now all the mindless parrots who thought they'd sound mature by going along w/ the rumors that Connelly would fall to the 2nd rd have been exposed. So now they're forced to say "Those crazy characters in Vegas taking a big chance on Connelly". Yeah, big risk. What if he uploads a new Insta photo of his friend playing blocks & makes a sickle & hammer next time?
