The USA NTDP team is 3-13 in the USHL and last place in standings so of course a CHL all star team is going to whip the worse team in the USHL. A USHL all star team would whip them easy also! The CHL isn’t a better league than the USHL and this game makes no sense as the USA NATDP is usually the worse team in the USHL. Why don’t they have the USHL all stars vs the CHL all stars and game would be much closer and make way more sense. It’s like a USHL all star team playing one of worse teams in the CHL and saying oh wow look how much the USHL league looks compared lol
Why would the oilers get a young defenceman? Every team wants young defencemen. Lol.
If Zach Werenski does not make team USA; I will start a petition to get him on the team!
Norris PLUS for 2024 Krieder? Norris, a third and a 6th for a demoted rookie... Yikes. Sounds to me like Norris is the equivalent of a 3rd round pick to this panel. You acknowledge Krieder's goals but no weight at all given to Norris to his 36 goals just a few years ago. Doesn't add up whatsoever.
Norris yakemchuck 2026 1st to calgary for rasmus anderson and whatever else you can get from them , kuzmenko comes to mind
Sens need to ride with this core longer before making changes. Also all the trade returns for Norris are weak given his potential...
Norris has elite skill but it seems to me like hes just too nice. He lacks killer instinct imo. Ive noticed that in games where hes oissed off he plays really well, is more of a diff maker. Whatever theyve been feeding Timmy this year give some to Josh
if you trade norris who is the 2nd line center
we don't need a blockbuster
If he would be the 2nd best d on the Sens then how in the world is he not making the bluejackets who have one of if not the worst d core in the league
Sorry but Tkachuk isn't a leader. The proof is there but we rather sunglasses on and live in denial. Players flourish once traded, and veterans aren't playing for him. Yes, it will hurt and hard to replace but Man is 5 years as a captain is a failure.
Ah yes! WJC previews!
Rangers lose in that deal though, JN probably isn't a great fit in new york
Would be interested in Norris to Carolina for our 2c position but he is too fragile.
Miller, jireck, and Romanov can be traded. Josh norris is good.....no?
Is Landon Dupont too young for the team?
Yes
Some notable draft eligible skaters in recent years for Team Canada include: Owen Allard, Macklin Celebrini, Connor Bedard, Shane Wright, Jamie Drysdale, Quinton Byfield, Dawson Mercer, Alexis Lafreniere, Brett Leason, Julien Gauthier, and Lawson Crouse. You guys hit the nail right on the head in regards to talking about it being a rarity that multiple undrafted skaters making the roster for team Canada. The last times that it happened were in 2020 with Drysdale, Byfield, Lafreniere, Mercer, and Perfetti being the last cut. Before that, I could only think of 2014 with Ekblad, Reinhart, and McDavid.
A few things: - Nadeau isn't "ripping up the AHL". He's on pace for 36 points. Just playing pro hockey might land him a spot on the team though. - Andrew Cristall might be the best offensive junior player in Canada right now. His pts / game is by far the best in the CHL and he almost made the Capitals. Why when they failed to score goals last year would they make the same mistake this year and leave off one of their most talented offensive players? - Likewise with Martone, McKenna, and Misa. Why would two of these guys be left off? These guys are all dominating the CHL, even more so than any of the other prospective players, including the returnees. - Yager seems overrated to me. Putting up so so numbers this year. Why do returning players automatically get a spot on the team when other players are clearly outperforming them? Here's how the forward group should look: McKenna - Ritchie - Wood Cristall - Catton - Nadeau Rehkopf - Misa - Martone Cowan - Yager - Luchenko Michael Hage also ripping up the NCAA as an 18 year old. I would throw him or Cataford in as an extra.
Missing = • Luke Misa = (25 Points in 13 Games from October 25th to November 24th) • Beckett Sennecke = 1.67 P/GP (From October 14th to November 24th) My Lines = Line 1 = McKenna-Catton-M. Misa Line 2 = Rehkopf-L. Misa-Martone Line 3 = Yager-Ritchie-Sennecke Line 4 = Cowan-Luchenko-Barkey.
They're trash. Need to rebuild from the rebuild. Can't watch or support this never ending trainwreck. I'm out
Looking forward to see how Sennecke does. (As a ducks fan)
Celebrini in the mix for the calder, no chance he goes to world juniors
Nice vid, guys. Any chance you'll do USA as well?
Yes, Team USA is up next!
@@TheHockeyWriters Thanks and keep up the good work!
What do you think CBJ could get in return for David Jiricek right now?
Mitch Marner is not a "bonafide superstar", he's a negative value player. Anybody who ever watched the leafs in playoffs know that
Lol, you guys don't watch Leaf games obviously. Berube has a full rotation of all lines, and uses the 4th lines quite a bit. 4 suspensions in a 15 year career isn't "dirty".
With Nurse out, that Ceci trade makes more sense
McQueen reminds me of Kirby Dach in his draft year.
I love how Matthew laughs at damn near anything, LOL Also, Misa is a centerman. Martone is a wing.
Not Oman. Lol
When Kent Johnson is back from injury which CBJ defenseman is most likely to get sent down to the AHL Harris or Jiricek?
Would love a video on - Nikita Prishchepov and his rise to the NHL. That would be amazing zero content on this. Also another one on Ilya Protas and how he’s on pace for 50 goals.
St Martin is good, he played real well in pre season for the panthers. He played w their top lines and looked like he was not out of place
Artamanov? Seems like a relative steal
I have very little doubt that SJ were the ones to push Musty to request the trade. Just based on Sudburys statement- the sticking points were the defensive etc details not being translatable to the NHL and didn’t look like Sudbury has taken those things seriously
Hamonic is playing Sanderson not Kleven
Sanderson is down because he's paired with Hamonic and Zub is still out.
Sens are getting better defensively.. seems like they are starting to put things together after Colorado game and listen to the coach. Last night against NY they were impeccable against the one of the top offensive teams last night. Ullmark didn't have a lot of work.
good for Calgary, for a while it looked like that franchise was imploding.
Danny Briere has 6 top 40-ish picks in '25. It's thought he's going to make a big push to move up for a 1C. Misa is the guy with the skill & speed who fits the bill. Imagine him and Michkov out there wheeling and dealing on the PP.
HAGANS
bro no one is going to games because we are in late stage capitalism, people can't afford to attend sporting events
Do you think trading markstrum to la for Dubois was on the table ?, caps seem happy with PLD so far
trashes on forsberg right before a shutout and mentioning +/- at all as a stat about a players defensive ability completely discredited this entire pod. i know to never watch again now i guess
Contact? This generation has cotton balls.
LOL, dude could pitch a 3-0 shutout... very prophetic on the shutout part :)
I attribute all of Jake Sanderson's success to Travis Hamonic.😅
MVP is Norris he’s missed so much hockey and comes back this season looking so good so far
He is definitely up there. Some would say he hasn't been the most valuable on the team just scoping in on this season, but you're right, with how much he had to prove, there is certainly an argument.
16:29 Julian was wrong, it was a 4-0 shutout, not 3-0
Heck of a close prediction, though!
How is Linus the MVP so far he just missed another game.
Prior to last night he had shown that he was the most valuable player in a sense. The team is significantly better with him in the lineup than anyone else in his spot.
Games played if you take Sanderson out of that spot. Are the Sens better?
@@duncanmacpherson7649 I think the Senators are a better team without Sanderson than they are without Ullmark, at least before last night while Forsberg was playing poorly. They are neck and neck for the MVP so far for sure.
@@jacobbillington6313I dunno. Sanderson is so valuable. Ully losing to Montreal and been hurt the rest of time hasn't really been a factor this year, as of yet anyways
I believe you missed Magnus Hellberg too in your goalie list.
Great pull. Not sure how I missed him on my list, thanks for the input!
