@@mariusj34 I can't tell if you're being fr with me 😂 in case you are though, no, sadly they aren't real or that'd make it much cooler. Basically after noticing the seemingly random light pattern flashing on the tower, someone "cracked the code" and stitched together the lights frame by frame until it shown an image. If you're joking I guess this explanation will be good for someone who actually didn't know lol
Pretty amazing, we were just watching the CN Tower this after Kiteboarding the other night from the Island. Interesting to see how it is with all sliver put together..
I want to see more of this, but I don't have a high enough vantage from my apartment to get the shots to do it myself. Anyone got a full view for shooting? I know how to composite the visual effect if we can get recordings from a few full winter nights.
@@avis138 Pretty sure. I see it every night I'm walking outside. I'll look out my window tonight to be sure. Do you still have access to that location to have a camera recording all night there?
@@avis138 The main light show is in the 10 minutes leading up to the hour. Then, at the top of the hour, there's a 10 minute blue lighting bit (for healthcare workers, I think?). And then, from the 10-50 minute mark, there's a red and white pattern displayed.

I like how the moving elevator makes a tiny seam in the image!
Thank you for uploading. This is rather neat thing for the city of Toronto to do.
what in the hell!?!?! this is the sort of thing that could lead one to believe conspiracies are true.

It would be totally legendary if they put memes in the lights
What's the song in the background?
how did u even thought of this lol
...for what purpose do they do this? I mean bless the guy who decided what it is...but why would the CN Tower do this?
This is real right? It's too unbelievable to be true.
lol. you're genius
This is a technique known as "videofacsimile".
"TOR" means "Bull" "onto" means "to be" -The cn tower is an obelisk... a bulls penis. Look at Torontos official flag... it's bull horns.
wait...its still work in progress
sadly yes, I need to reshoot this. I'm not even sure if it still running the light show anymore. :(
Hope it does...
but why?
