hello, this is helpful, thank you. i have a 405m btw. i encounter a problem though--when i open the game on the console area, it would either prompt some directory and just black screen, or that "insert sony psp". however, when i open the game using aether app, it will run. what am i missing here?

i worked out that i put the roms in a roms folder using the pc then put back the sd card and tell it where the roms are and it works fine for me

the 70% game cube games run ok

@@poshpaul55 I'm glad to hear that level of success with the gamecube. I played Windwaker and it became unplayable about 20 minutes in. Didn't even continue twilight princess after all the studdering audio in the intro 😓 I've had a 100% success rate with n64 so far 🤞

Im getting frustrated. But i also think I haven’t took the necessary steps to download files efficiently. I have no idea what im doing, im very kindergarten to this and i need help from start to finish

Do the files need to be on the sd to use the "i" to optimize settings? I tried closing out and starting new rom but still get a blank screen.
Hmmm.. it shouldn't matter. Did you close out the entire app or just close the rom and start a new one?

So what is the unzipping app you said you used? That was the only thing I didn’t get. When you click on Gradius in files how did it unzip?
The app that I used to unzip the files in linked in the video description. Once you have the app installed, it will automatically use the appropriate app to unzip when you click on the associated compressed file.

So I think I’ve come to the realization the newly desired Roms have to be on the SD with all the og loaded roms for that optimal graphics option to be available.. I’m gonna have to make some room on this card

Great video thanks! Everything managed to work except… when you said to click “the white i” to change game settings to make it play smoother… I press the i and nothing happens or no settings options come up? How can i make the gameplay smoother please??
Thanks! If the "i" menu doesn't populate, just close and restart AetherSX2 entirely and check again. It should pop up
I’m having a hard time tweaking the graphics. When I select the “eye” nothing comes of for me to make those adjustments! Should I factory reset?
If you fully close out the app and reopen it, the "i" menu should populate
Nice video! I was trying to play pubg on this console and everything runs good except for the right analog stick it drives me crazy when trying to move the camera. It jumps from one side to the other. Any idea of how to solve it? Thanks!!

Are you trying to run .iso files? If so - have you decompressed them yet?
Yeah some are 7z… I see that the trial version doesn’t support those types..
But yes I am decompressing every thing

I have been trying to add them for PS2 games but have only have success within RetroArch... but that's not where I play them 😪. I'm still working on it though

Look for archives online. People often upload r o m bundles
Can you pls tell me which one you used? I used many ROM sites butcit doesn’t really work for all games
@@EmceeIV I did download the ROM from my computer to the SD Card and the file is with a readme.txt in one folder. When I export it with my computer and transfer it to the SD card I can’t open it on my device

nvm the font size was keeping me from seeing the button to search for games.
Where did you buy?with or without SD card?
I bought it on Amazon with a pre-loaded card and then added my own fresh card and roms
So you dont have to format your SD card to FAT32 or exFAT right? I got mine with a 256gb sd card with +20 000 games and I dont want to lose all my games data and saves just to download Final Fantasy X. I've seen many tutorials on youtube and so many of them say that we must format to fat32 but i just DONT want to.
So my question is can i just download ps2 games on the console WITHOUT formating my SD card?
Oh yeah, no format. I have been adding to mine since day 1. I did buy a bigger SD card and flash everything to the new card at one point. That's partially because I wanted more storage but also because I hear the cheap cards fail often. But no - don't format. Download, unzip and enjoy

I don't think the 353vs can handle ps2 emulation but this should still work on at least the smaller games that were released for the console

I tried gamma on mine but I went back to stock. With gamma I had issues connecting to any wifi and quite often many apps I installed often crashed.
can you see if evil dead regeneration works? It’s not working for me.
I got it working. Go to System settings in AetherSX2 and set EE Cycle Rate to -50% (-3), EE Cycle Skip to Maximum Underclock (3).
Then go to your graphics settings in AetherSX2 and set the GPU Renderer to Vulkan and Upscale Multiplier to 0.5 Native

@lemonman7591 so far, yes. Make sure you have your cpu turned up to max (in the android pull-down menu)
@@EmceeIV yeah I’ve done everything but the cut scenes don’t seem to work, I can hear them perfectly fine, but it’s just a black screen, but gameplay scenes work amazingly. I appreciate you trying man 🙏
@lemonman7591 try switching the Renderer from vulkan to each other option. That might fix it 🤞
where do you download games?
It's changes constantly.. the last site that I used and recommended had all of it's content removed 😢 so it's every man for himself. I just Google PS2 ISO downloads

I'm playing RE4 now and it runs really well! I haven't had a single dip or slowdown in the first 30 minutes of gameplay or in the cinematics!
@@EmceeIV oh cool. you should upload some gameplay. ALSO can u try the hardest games to emulate like: tekken tag tournament, dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 2 and 3, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" that's a REAL challenge

I tried restarting the console. I tried turning off the console completely, I tried closing the application. Literally everything I’ve said. But every time I click the “I with a circle on it” nothing pops up

Unfortunately everything i really wanna play runs kinda slow (sly cooper, ffx) are the optimized settings only on some roms because i havent run into one i can fix up yet. :(
I was playing ffx and it ran great. It's all about adjusting the underclocking and maximum underclock, then moving native resolution down

The only way I've found so far is using another launcher like Emulation Station - it lists games with .bin files as the folders they're in instead of listing them twice

Also, there are probably 100s of PS2 games that this device cannot run, no matter what you do.

Can this console play ps2 games such as “ simpsons hit and run” and “ Jack and Daxter”? If so I’d be purchasing one
It struggles a little bit with Hit & Run but plays pretty decent. It can handle about 25% of the PS2 games I throw at it really well but the other 75% not as much. I'd recommend the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Plays them all at 2-3x resolution. Looks like they have been remastered

If it is blank when you click the "i" just fully close the AetherSX2 app and then reopen it with a freshly started rom and try again - it should be there 🙂 let me know if this doesn't work. ✌️🎮
Is it just as simple as exiting the game. Not sure how to close out the app
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and touch the square in the bottom right. This should zoom out on all of your open apps. Then just swipe AetherSX2 up and off the screen. That should fully close it.
Now I’m having troubles extracting.. I’ve extracted downhill domination and it doesn’t show up in my decompressed file
Did you make space on the SD Chip?? I have zero space to move the files onto the SD. Any recommendations
