The main gauche and casting thrusting sword (I forget the name) has provided me with the most fun I’ve ever had with the game. I never finished an actual int playhtrough cause I found it boring to my usual play style. I’ve finished Elden ring maybe ten times and eight of them were pure strength, and two were str/fth (I love great swords and straight swords). When I found those two weapons I thought maybe it would be fun so I respecced and holy crap you gotta try that combo if you haven’t already. I love melee combat so I only use defensive and melee spells + Zamor ice storm for some aoe to accommodate my preferred play style. It is an absolute blast if you force yourself to rely on the parry as much as possible. I cannot recommend doing an ng+ run with that set up enough and I was thrilled to see my build here and it being used so masterfully
@@captaincs8440 chilling most and gavel of haima work great after after a riposte or before a series of power stance attacks, and Miriam’s vanishing works great after a backstop attack. Carian piercer is great after feints and also Miriam’s vanishing. I’ve also been using cannon of haima to soften up crowds, it comboes great with zamor ice storm in pve. Carian slicer is even great for when you have to use impaling thrust on shielded enemies. For bosses, stick to parrying as much as possible and chilling most on the riposte, maybe mix in a few Carian slicers. The rest won’t do you good.
