    I'm very interesting to follow all what you do on this chanel and I would like to beg whether possible to show us some important or application of what you test in civil engineering work or how it can be used as a tool in other calculation. Thank u engineer

    what if the FM value is less than 2 ?
    Can we use such an aggregate for plastiring work ?
    In the last interpretation, u said it is between 600 micron & 300 micron..but its only 2.11 and should be between 300 micron & 150 micron

    4.5.1 The mass of pieces passing the appropriate gauge in each sieve fraction shall be calculated as a percentage of mass of the total number of pieces in each fraction (x). The mass of total number of pieces in each sieve shall then be calculated as a percentage of the total mass of the whole sample that is the sample which is retained on 6.3 mm sieve (y). The weighted percentage of the mass of the pieces passing the appropriate gauge in each sieve fraction shall then be calculated by multiplying 'x' by 'y'.
    Pls explain this clause.

    sir query 1 - which zone fine aggregate used for for what kind of work either for construction work or for plastering work a fine aggregate (or fine/medium/coarse sand) will used. is there any kind of prescribed differentiation mention that if uor result lies in zone-3 then yhis fine aggregate will used in concreting / platsering i mean how can one differentiate?
    query no 2- what about coarse aggregate sieve analysis.
    why we do it is there any kind of reason belongs to strentgth if one cant do these analysis.
    quest no 3- how can i decide the sample amount teachers create so much confusion for the sample to be taken of fine aggregate(here).

    Sir in gopal ranjan book it is written that sieves required for fine sieve analysis is 4.75 mm, 2 mm 1 mm, 600 micron, 425 micron, 212 micron, 150 micron and 65 micron . But when we do it according to IS 383 sirve size is different. Why is that?

    Hello, I have a question concerning the FM of 2.11 and how you determine where it lies in the sieve size. How do we know that it fits between 300 micron and 600 micron? How does 2.11 tell us the sieve size?

    • @neekeshpradhan8957
      @neekeshpradhan8957 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah my question too. How was it determined? Guess he ended up creating greater confusion than actually resovling one.

      They already explained i.e 2.11
      From downwards to upward (except pan)
      150 mic - 1st sieve
      300 mic - 2nd sieve
      600 mic - 3rd sieve
      There our FM is 2.11 that means max. Aggregate was lies between 2nd and 3rd sieve i.e b/w 300-600mic

    • @structuralanalysisanddesign
      @structuralanalysisanddesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you go through IS 2386 and IS 383, they have not mentioned 75 micron sieve so i have not taken in this video, if you take and do nothing wrong, most of the colleges take 75 micron sieve and do, as code has not mentioned so i have not taken 75 Micron sieve

    • @structuralanalysisanddesign
      @structuralanalysisanddesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coarse aggregate no where considers 75 micron sieve, For Fine and Coarse 4.75mm is the main sieve because this is the sieve which divides aggregates into fine and coarse

    It is so disgusting to know that your first retain weigh does not have any values despite having few retain. Please get a sensitive scale. As a suggestion, Japanese weigh the retain with sieves itself and later deduct the weight of each sieves. This will make work easier and leave no soil particles unweighted.
