It’s a Small World that Tokyo Disney used have to the Christmas overlay. They’ve stopped it for unknown reasons All the Small Worlds except of Magic Kingdom’s have actually had the holiday version in some in time. Ofc the Small World at Disneyland is still the only one that still receives the holiday overlay to this day.
Technically, the teacups attraction at both Florida and Tokyo are the ONLY TWO versions to have the giant teapot in the center with the Dormouse peeking out. Paris and Hong Kong also have Dormouse teapots, but theirs is located outside of the attraction
Another fantastic video! It seems like every new video you do on Tokyo Disneyland somehow makes me want to visit it even more! Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite theme park attraction, so I'm really thrilled that it's mostly remained the same. And while I do love Curse of the Black Pearl, I do wish there was at least one Pirates of the Caribbean in the world that was free of Jack Sparrow. Even if you say it's 95% the same, I'll still definitely go on it, since I love this ride so much. I was thrilled to see recently that Tokyo Disneyland brought back the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown! I had feared since they hadn't done it for a few years that it might be something of the past, but I'm glad that's not the case! Having the Christmas show back would be great too! I remember seeing it at Magic Kingdom back in 2005, which I believe is the year they stopped doing it. I totally agree with you about the original staying the same! I really hope Splash Mountain stays in Tokyo Disneyland forever. It's such a great ride, and lots of people are saying that Tiana is nowhere near as good from the cast previews. I'm sure that The Oriental Land Company knows that having the better and only version of one of the most famous Disney rides ever is a really big draw. I also think that Splash Mountain might not be as controversial as you think. It still gets long lines at Tokyo Disneyland, so people you see online might not necessarily represent the general interest in it. I hope so much that Groot in it's a small world fails. I hate the idea of Marvel coming to Tokyo Disneyland. I'm glad Universal Orlando has the rights to Marvel in Florida so Disney can't bring it to Walt Disney World and I really wish they did the same in Japan. I'm so excited to ride Snow White's Adventures whenever I go! I miss Florida's so much and I'm glad Tokyo still has a pretty similar version. That's interesting that your Peter Pan doesn't get long waits, as it's the exact opposite in America! In case you didn't know Chip n Dale's Treehouse isn't at Disneyland anymore. It was taken out in 2022 during the update. I love Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin too! I'm glad I rode it in October 2021, a few months before they put Jessica in a trench coat. I totally agree with you about the queue. In my opinion, it has the best queue of any Disney attraction, however, I haven't been to Disneyland since October 2021, so I haven't seen their Runaway Railway queue. From what I've seen from videos and photos the queue looks like it might be the best queue for any Disney attraction, and I honestly think it looks much better than Runaway Railway as a ride. I don't feel super sad about not being able to go on Tokyo's Space Mountain as you and other people have told me it's basically identical to Disneyland in California which I've been on. I hope you have a wonderful time at Tokyo Springs! I'm really looking forward to know what you think of it. I've been on Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios and California Adventure, so I'll likely skip it here. Don't want to spend valuable Tokyo Disney time on it. I'll definitely go on Indiana Jones here, but I'm interested to know if you'd say it's better at Tokyo DisneySea or Disneyland.
Thanks for this video! It’s definitely gonna help me when planning a TDR trip (hopefully) in a few years! I can’t wait to see your content from Fantasy Springs! Listening to you talk about how excited you are for it on the podcast is getting me so excited to eventually go!
Thanks buddy! I can’t believe it’s soooo close now!!!! It’s gonna be so much fun being there and experiencing it and then sharing it with everyone! Let’s gooooooo
Can't wait for the Fantasy Springs coverage soon! From what I've heard, it's definitely much easier to enter than most have been anticipating. Hope the situation is that way when I visit in July. I also think Splash could stick around much longer since the initial reception I've seen for Tiana's has been mostly negative. I also noticed there's lots of Tiana representation in FS. Maybe an original ride for Tiana like FEA vs Frozen Journey? Idk if there's enough space for that, though.
The one good thing if OLC ever announced Splash changing is that you can be certain the replacement will be superb. Haven’t ridden it myself but Tiana seems real disappointing. On your Fantasy Springs expansion point, I find it weird that this land which has the scope to handle so many different Disney movies seems to be locked in with no room for expansion. They may come to regret that…
@@8bitthemepark for sure, Space Mountain is already looking really interesting with those additional gimmicks. If they do redo Splash, I have my complete trust that they'll approve something that will be a significant improvement to it.
While 20K leagues is unique, it's a C-ticket. If it's an over 20 minute wait, skip it or you'll be sorely disappointed. The same can be said about Soaring, it's probably not worth a 3 hour wait even for its fantastic pre-show. If anybody knows how they're doing the portrait video, please let me know. I stood right in front of it and have no clue what it was because it looked like real magic.
Totally agree about 20,000 Leagues. A lot of people big it up as a major attraction and it’s really not, however I do love it for what it is and it’s super unique. Agree on Soaring too. It’s beautiful packaging but same old Soaring. I think the effect is achieved by having several layers of glass with projections on each layer, creating a depth. It’s not the most complex thing but the way it all comes together is really elegant.
One of the imagineers on the Soaring project (Tim Landry) did a behind the scenes documentary on it and the preshow is really complicated. Apparently, Camellia is projected on a scrim with the painting background projected behind her. To get rid of the transparency, they project a dark silhouette behind her. This makes the painting look more like a window than a screen. The paintings are screens iirc and the walls are projected on the entire time.
Which rides would you be most excited to try?

@@inkwadnito966 I love that! It’s a delightfully nostalgic hidden gem of the park.

Just the video I didn’t know I needed.
So glad it could be helpful!
I’m so glad Tokyo still has splash mountain
Me too! It was my favorite ride as a kid and it’s such a privilege to live near the last remaining one!
I agree. I hope it stays that way forever. Especially since many people are saying Tiana is much worse.
Si glad Tokyo knows how to run their parks
This is so helpful! I've been curious about this since I started planning my visit!
I’m so glad I could help!! Have an amazing trip! 🏰🌋
At Disneyland in California, It's still referred to as Tom Sawyers Island. Just the play area is referred to as Pirates layer
Oooh right you are! Very confusing… 😅 Thanks for clearing that up!
Will you update this video with Fantasy Springs after you visit in a few weeks?
I’ll have A LOT of new videos all about Fantasy Springs after I’ve been to the new hotel on Monday!!
reallyy liked this video!!
