The hardest thrower at the highest level has thrown the ball 171km/hr before. In baseball there are also pitches such as curveballs that curve in the air at a different speed to throw off the batter. I'm not disrespecting cricket, I'm just letting you know that a ball moving at 140km/hr is not something baseball players haven't seen before. In fact, it's much slower than what a baseball player is used to seeing.
