'ay, I'd suggest Rachmaninoff/Kreislers Liebesleid for the next challenge. It's pretty easy to sightread I'd say, but the 2nd part with the triplets is pretty funky. That's where I'm at right now and I wanna see how you learn a piece in 1h as well as I did in a few months >Me, terrible sightreader/classical player
I know that you went to school for piano and everything, but it's amazing to see how you sight read so good! I'm stuck on tempo for page 3 of Chopin's Ballade no. 1 and i bet you'd do it in a breeze
Listening Liszt's music for a hungarian is always pleasure. And you are did it very grate! :D I can't feel your fight of course in this very difficult peace because I'm a flute player, but I liked it! Keep up the practice! :D -from Hungary
I played this piece cause of lockdown last time and I was bored. I was thinking, there’s NO WAY you could sight read this nasty piece and with limited time. But look at you! I’m still trembling every time I finished practicing this one, Oh my stamina, where art thou go~
I think i just discovered from watching you in this still amazing attempt, that learning a piece, it's not that we become more superhuman if we are able to play it, but that we solved the muscle memory puzzle using our tool box of known techniques and organized it to produce the sound required by the harmony and music on the page. And even more important that we know exactly what it is we have learned at any point even if it is not what is written on the page or not final. It is what we have stored in our mind that we need to be aware of and work on constantly, and not what is on the page. I used to never know what i had learned from a new piece and would endlessly look at the score, not my mind, and not know what i had yet learned. It took ages to learn a piece. I somehow knew it but why didn't I look at what recorded in mind, i guess because i thought it was not worth looking. Wrong !
Looks like you need an air conditioner 🤣 Also you're getting too good at feeling the time left. It's been too long since we've seen a timer jumpscare :(
Like I told you in part I, I have been working on this piece of music since I was 10 years old. I am 70 now and have given up. I did play it as well as you did after only one minute. I spent 60 years trying to do that good. LOL Why not spend a week or two learning that piece and play it for us all to hear and appreciate. I would love to hear you play it.
I too would like to see a finished piece. It's hard to go past these well known pieces even if considered overplayed. Still, it'd be new hearing it played by a TH-camr you're following.. especially if it's one they never played before.
@@dollybird6290 Yes, to play on stage could take months to perfect the piece. I was just hoping to hear her play it at a noncritical level. Hell, she is almost there after 1 hour. I love her interpretation and speed of the piece. The piece should be emotional, fun and light but not too fast. If she makes a mistake in the middle, who cares, just keep going. The energy to play it perfectly magnifies the learning task by 100 times. Valentina Lisitsa plays it way to fast to try and impress us and butchers the piece in my opinion. Valentina hates the piece and it shows in her performance. She rushes to get through it.
Hi Annique, how i wish i was even a quarter as good as you 😂 I was thinking since you like playing this piece and people love watching HR2 videos, was wondering if you could start a new video series on your journey towards learning the entirety of this piece (showing tips and tricks along the way and maybe a little performance portion at the end of each practice session? :p) would love to see you play the whole piece someday! cheers Annique! ✋🤚
If she has time to do this, I support your idea... I've also asked her for an absurd suggestion like these... Like asking her to do a "serie" in which she records full covers of songs suggested by the subscribers. So far, for all the videos I've seen on her channel, I've never seen her talking in detail about reading music, but more about breathing, posture, interpretation, muscle memory and fingerings... And by the way, I also demanded a suggestion for her to talk about score reading in detail (which is extremely important), like explain what each symbol means, or how can I know which note is written there on the score (is it a C? is it a D? an E? a F? a G? an A? a B?)... I've always had these doubts. So, what do you think of the idea of her making a video explaining in detail about the topic of music reading? And by the way, from what I saw following her Instagram, she said that someday she will post a video on TH-cam talking about the topic of "Analysis & Interpretation". Watch out for it, haha...
This piece is really hard. It took me a long time to understand the rhythm of this crazy piece. Let's not talk about Rafsuda 6, which also had the same story there. Now at two I understood the rhythm. All that's left is to practice for 3 years.
