    So glad you made this video... I sail like this ever time I go out.. it's a different style of sailing speed runs.. sail trim different to racing trim... I'm always getting told traveler out sheet in...but different when only running down wind.

    I'd be super interested in a simultaneous measurement of true wind speed. Any chance you'd want to carry a logging anemometer that would give you apparent windspeed and direction? Then you could just subtract the GPS vector velocity to get True. THEN you could continuously plot your percentage of true wind speed. I think that would be an impressive way to get feedback on what you're doing right.

      Yes, that would certainly be interesting - i'm not sure how i'd go about it - is a logging anemometer a specific device for such a task?

    Joe - looks like the perfect wind for solo. Can you share your technique when you start to see the leeward bow begin to bury? Do you head up, sheet in, traveler in?
