As a country yes its young, but you can visit deira and al rass side to the modern history of dubai (late 19th century), or you could visit some great archeological sites in sharjha and um al quwein. In terms of parks there are some great parks with diffrent theams al safa park (open green space), mishrif park (natural forest), zabeel park (modern with multiple of attractions), mamzar park ( beach and private cabanas), quranic park (theamed park)

Nice video, lots of good points and it sounds really a great place to be, however the air pollution is really a huge concern in the long run, they really should get a handle on that issue.

Thank you for this wonderful video. I agree with the majority of what you mentioned such as security, stability and great opportunities, however, I’ve been applying for jobs in the UAE for the past 2 years and find that the salaries are extremely low. I had to turn down 3 job offer’s because they didn’t meet my salary expectations. Where have you looked for opportunities and what steps did you take? I’d love to hear your experience.

Might want to mention that I’m a U.S citizen and hold a bachelor’s degree. I know employers take this into consideration when hiring outside of the UAE.

They are paying less salary here now.Fresh Engineer is getting 2 to 3000 dirhams per month, thats disgusting And if you have UAE experience of 2,3 yrs they are paying 5000 dirhams which is still very very less according to UAE standards. There should be minimum threshold salary for all Jobs.

Nice video Elena, but I feel like you haven't addressed the elephant in the room. "I don't know, they just managed to get rid of crime". I can tell you how, Sharia Law. It would have been interesting to hear your point of view as a woman or, even better, if you have any gay friends living there ..

    • @michaeladoyo8702

I agree with you Giuseppe. She says no discrimination, culture in reference to the lower percentage of emirates, higher pay with no taxes.
The sams stuff she says is unique in Dubai. We have right here in Atlanta.. and FYI the mobile gas delivery started in Miami long ago.

It's no secret, women can walk the streets at night or on public transport without harassment. Dubai is probably safer than anywhere in Europe for women.
Shariah Law 😲 - most people don't even know what it is. You can't swear in public. You can't do road rage. No stealing or littering. That's under Shariah Law, it's not just about chopping hands for stealing, which rarely happens. Business law is also under Shariah Law. Not having interest is also under Shariah Law. It's more comprehensive than you understand, and many things in the West, Shariah Law had it first, imagine that.
No, it's really simple. You come to dubai on a work visa. You commit a crime. They send you to jail, then deport you. Now you know why there's no crime, people don't want to risk that.
As for gays, it's not an Islamic problem, that's the western countries project.

I wish I could like Dubai but what I can't stand about it is its snobbery. You pointed out that it's ILLEGAL to be homeless. What kind of society is this?? I also noticed that everyone is the same. You look like everyone else there. There's no edge whatsoever. No room for eccentricity or subcultures. But that's Muslim society in general for you.
