    The spring looks like a giant valve spring with a retainer. 😀

    Mean bro this explains it well. Hard to get the parts in New Zealand needed to fix issues with oil leaks.

      Thanks and hopefully you can get the parts you're looking for.

      @@cmidas3396 I hope so too mines a Audi A6 2011 C7, problem with the high pressure fuel pump as its leaking. Would like to know where I can find the transmission fluid to check it.

      @teerex9149 Ecstuning has the transmission fluid but I got mine on ebay . Can't remember what ebay store though.

      @@cmidas3396 I mean where do I put the transmission fluid so far I only know where the oil is and the coolant.

      @teerex9149 There's a fill hole on the passenger side of the transmission. I have a video on changing the transmission fluid if you look through my channel.

    Colder plugs were key on mine man, I was having misfires up too, NGK bk9’s gapped to.026 it’s perfect. Those plugs come .030 from factory, the ones I took out were .036! I need to go my DSG service next

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I just saw a post today about someone running BK9's. I went two heat ranges colder on my other two cars and it seems good.

      I'm running APR reds with thier Iridium plugs. No misfires. ✊🏾

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sinister6_cuv It's not so much misfires but colder plugs take more heat out of the combustion chamber which protect the motor more from detonation/pre-igniton. Some misfires can be from improper sparkug gap on boosted cars running more boost.

      @Sinister6_cuv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @cmidas3396 Roger that! That's also why I'm running water-meth. Trying to keep it as cool as possible here in GA.

    Followed all the steps and jsit finished installing mine today and car runs way better. But I am getting a fuel smell now from the hpfp area. Is this normal due to more fuel passing through?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, there should be no fuel smell aside from what came out after removing the hpfp. There may be some residual fuel smell initially form what came out from removing the hpfp bit it should go away. If not, check for leaks at the fuel line fittings at the hpfp.

    • @lunchmoney3652
      @lunchmoney3652 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @cmidas3396 yes fuel def dumped around that area. I'll clean it then check for the fuel smell in a couple days.

    Was the bracket on the pump slightly loose when it was back together?. I have about 1mm of play on the bracket

    Just opened mine and realized that that little piece that holds the spring is broken 🤦🏻‍♂️
    Do you know to buy one of those? Audi only sells the complete pump, but damn, buying a whole pump just for that tiny little thing is crazy! I don’t even know the exact name of that, don’t know how to search.

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No , I've never seen parts for the fuelpump. You might have luck getting another pump from a junkyard or ebay. Are you sure it's broken?

    any one else have fuel in oil since installing the 034 internals? i installed into a brand new pump and is not the seal that usually leaks (inside the hpfp) thats leaking.
    im wondering if its the shaft to the internal part of the internal hpfp sealing coupler that 034 makes you reuse the oem one BUT....
    integrated engineerings kit replaces this coupler so its perfect fit to the shaft sent.

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No idea, I haven't had that happen. Perhaps you have a leak somewhere that's making the car run rich?

    • @f4m0u582090
      @f4m0u582090 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cmidas3396 Have you sniffed your oil much? i know it was awhile ago u installed so id think you would have noticed during ur last oil change
      ltft are -3.4 -2.8. so shouldnt be a vac leak.
      ive checked my fuel rail pressure with engine off and it rises in time and it does not drop off so injectors shouldnt be leaking.... i may putvmy old pump in to try. or put the new stock internals with 0 miles (that i replaced with 034 with brand new pump ) in this new hpfp with 5k miles, and see how it goes.

      I just changed the oil recently and didn't notice any gas smell.

      if you have vcds or obdeleven track your high fuel pressure requested and actual. If your actual is lower than your requested then you have a leak somewhere. Just installed mine and have no issues so far.

      @richardyim7543 i did use vagcom and my cansensor gauge and i keep an eye on the hpfp all the time.
      it kept up with demand no problem but it was leaking internally. it was a bad 034 piston/shaft. the shaft was .002 bigger diameter then a new oem pump and had lots of score/ wear marks with only 3k miles. ( i bought new and installed into a brand new genuine hpfp)
      since i have installed a ie hpfp and have no fuel smell in my oil any more( after an oil change and running 2.5k miles since)
      i run 034 software and use all there parts. i just got a bad kit.

  • @luiszubillaga1463

    When you removed your hpfp and showed it in front of the camera , it looked like it was leaking, or what was all that fluid around the hpfp spring?
    My car has a long crank every mornings, and then starts ok, my oil cap smells like gasoline.. i changed the oil already but i think i have a bad pump...
    Thanks
    Nice video.

      That was oil from the cam. It's normal. Sounds like your car is running rich or could be bad fuel injectors. You should get it checked as soon as possible.

      That happened to my son's GTI where two of his injectors were stuck open and flooded the motor with fuel and also messed up his catalytic converter.
