He doesn’t own one. He’s utilizing a machine he already owns that is crucial to the type of jobs he does on a weekly basis but of course a skid steer would be faster in this specific scenario.
It might be a little cheaper but that excavator can mulch where a skidder can’t go. Like cut banks and across ditches or if it wet and soft on the edge of the road a skid steer can only mulch where it can drive
IYKYK, IYDYD! You will run into all types of terrain in this industry and skid steer has its place where it shines, but so does the excavator. I run both and would rather the excavator hands down.

seems a skidsteer with a brush hog would cost less per hour and be faster but whatever i guess if you get paid by the hr
