I can feel how uncomfortable doing this made him but he fuckin nailed it. The video flowed well and was easy as hell to watch. He broke into a different genre of video REALLY well.
Nobody who draws really knows their own style. It's something that other people see in the art you create. I'm going into my fourth year of college and draw constantly for my projects and for fun, but I couldn't even begin to describe "my style" to someone else. Best advice I can give it to be easy on yourself and do what feels right in the moment.
Yea and it’s really nice to see Kryoz go outside his comfort zone for this video! Definetly my favorite video so far. And yea a lot of people hold themselves to high standards when drawing, I have never met an artist who thought they were good at drawing, because they always think they could be better! Honestly drawing is more about enjoying doing the art, seeing how your drawing goes from a blank shape to an art piece! One’s own style slowly will develop, as long as you draw and try to enjoy doing it, without forcing yourself to high standard, it’s all gonna be a o k
Exactly this ! I just graduated college, still don't know my style, but I hear all the time from others that they see that I have one. I think the only way we can recognize something we make is in our style, is if we feel proud and happy about what we made. I noticed all my favorite projects and commissions I'm most proud of are the ones others see my style in. I think part of what our 'style' is, is the voice we put into it. When it says something to yourself and others, there is definitely something there.

As someone who likes to draw as well, dare I say an artist, I couldn't be happier with you uploading these.
okay deadass ive been doing art for a couple years now and this is honestly stunning?? especially for someone whos only recently gotten into drawing, you very clearly have a talent and i wouldnt mind watching you speedpaint every other week or so alongside the gaming videos
Kryoz, honestly I really think you could talk about whatever you feel like talking about, you make it sound like storytelling where it’s just comfortable to listen to you talk
Yeah I really love his editing, it distinguishes his videos from other gaming channels and I can tell he puts a lot of effort in each vid. One thing that he does really well is nicely balanced audio levels, I can clearly hear each person speaking when he plays with other people. I've noticed that Kryoz's audio is very quiet in other people's videos and the audio levels are poorly balanced to the point people drown each other out and, it gets confusing as a viewer, with people talking over eachother. Anyways, I really appreciate the attention to detail that goes into every video.

i as an artist constantly have to go off of references but the fact that john doesn't use them most of the time just shows how powerful he is at drawing
So I’m awful with words but Kryoz being honest about his drawing journey has helped mine immensely. I think we all see art as something you’re either good or horrible at. This idea that it’s a “gift” as opposed to a skill. Before seeing his first drawing video, I had given up on digital art. I thought my art wasn’t worth posting or worth people’s attention because it wasn’t close to the quality of other people’s content. But these last couple art videos have given me the patience to start again, and start with a better mindset. Art is something to be enjoyed, not something to be critical of. Thank you, Kryoz.
i kinda go through similar instances of self doubt in my art as my style feels like it can be extremely limiting due to my actual lack of skill especially compared to so many other naturally talented people that i know and have seen over the years. it all gets to a point where eventually you have to ask yourself if you appreciate yourself as an artist, and forging your own style and path, versus constantly comparing yourself to others work since everyone has different skill sets. once you get to a point of “fuck it i’m comfortable with my style and i’m gonna keep improving it to the way that i like it” it becomes easier, you actually start to see yourself getting better and overall you grow a deeper appreciation for your skills and your “gift.” remember there are world famous artists who drew “scribbles” or “just shapes” but it had such a deeper meaning. no art can ever be simply bad or good that’s what makes art so great. it’s all up to interpretation and the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
So exciting to see ya branching out! I think you can call yourself an artist, anything that allows you to express yourself and portray your feelings I would consider art. Dude I LOVE this video and this content so much and i appreciate so so much that you took the leap to put this out there. My favorite thing is ALWAYS seeing people do what they enjoy and makes them happy and this video certainly hits that mark! I'd so much rather watch a video and take it in because I know the person is genuine and likes doing what they are doing. If I'm watching a video purely because it's funny, sure, I'm entertained, but obviously I don't know if they are really enjoying themselves or making it because that's what they've done so long they feel obligated to do that. It hurt listening to you talk down on yourself so much and I'm only 5 minutes in i had to come straight the comments because it saddens me you feel that way and have those anxieties laid so strongly on you from your position as an influencer. In the most positive light, though, it's humbling because THAT shows just how genuine you are and gives the relatability and connection an audience needs in all honesty. So so many people don't take the time to sit and realize that the people they are watching and seeing through a screen are indeed PEOPLE and aren't perfect just because they've built something for themselves. I'm sorry for such a long rant and obviously I doubt you'll read this, John, but I really felt the need to say it. I genuinely mean every word and am very happy to see you growing your range and expanding on your talents :) 💕 It's lovely to watch.
I used to love drawing to help escape stuff in life but due to working at a really young age up to now I can no longer hold a pen or pencil, but watching this makes me happy. I’ve always loved Johns commentaries and of course his content but this was something new and I really like it. It inspires me to draw again (even though I physically can’t) but I’ll be glad to sit here and enjoy this. Great work!
@@RyanWood24 I think he meant the ones in Gartic or Skibblio are very basic and cartoonish, where here his serious style is more realistic to surrealist, so the switch is jarring. He wasn't saying it was bad just unexpected.
This makes me so happy to see. I’ve been drawing for years, since I was about 4 years old, and I still don’t have my own set style. Recommendations: Get the reactions of the individual you are capturing in the art. That would possibly give the video a similar video to how your other contents goes.
I think what's important is pushing past your comfort zone and it's breaking from expectations that makes it more interesting. It can be hard to be creative when worrying about physics or anatomy and I think you've done well considering that. It's definitely not a style I could do, so I admire your work. Nice job dude 👏👏👏
Really good! The only criticism I have is the nose blending with the milk bag. I know you said you weren’t sure about it but blending is a very big aspect of drawing. I’ve never done tablet drawing so I don’t really know how to help or give advice.
Kryoz, art is an expression of who you are and who you want to be. Your art is unique and specific to you, and you nailed it so well. I would love to see you make more videos like this, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way
John I'm not artist and idk enough about it but maybe learning about color and what emotion or vibe a certain or combination of colors give gives ,and then the shapes like maybe there are very sexy shapes or aggressive ones, u know like some cars are sexy but also fast lookin. Idk maybe learning about this kinda stuff would help in ur drawings
Honestly confidence is the best thing you can have when you’re drawing, also I’d like to watch this as well as more gaming content, do what you want my dude n practicing not caring is good too
With art it's really hard to just get your style and have something you're confident in/are consistent with. But that's the beauty with art, that you don't need to be consistent, and you don't need to do anything perfectly or accurate. You should just have fun and enjoy what you do and what you make. You're making art, you're an artist, and you're doing absolutely fucking amazing as someone who's been drawing for as long as I can remember. Watching your creative process was so fucking sick and I loved seeing you just draw. I think it's super interesting to just see what you do, sped up or not, you don't need to talk constantly. This was a weird thing for you to do I can feel it very well but you did amazing! Like genuinely really fucking amazing! I'd love to see this more from you and watch you grow and improve as time goes on. I'm really excited to see where you go with your art and how far you'll go with it!
This is great, John! I'd love to see you express jiggly in your own style. This was super enjoyable to watch, and your commentary is good at keeping, at least myself, engaged. Didn't skip through the video (except to go back). A very fine balance. Please keep creating so we can follow along. I should also add that it's nice to see something that isn't a video game sometimes that complements the creator rather than what people want to see.
I've never been so sucked into an art video before. this video is clean. honestly have no idea what you'll post next and that's perfect. See you in the next one, Take care. :3
My brother's art looked so similar to yours with the way he drew features and such, not to be weird, but this video made me cry while I was watching you draw and talk about your art. I hope you continue with videos like this.
I feel the same about my "art style" and I feel a lot of comfort knowing someone else moves the canvas around a lot. "You need to keep it straight up" was told me to me often. I love your art.
Something I didn't think I needed this year but I really did. This video inspired me to get back to actually drawing and not just watching people drawing, the genuine fun he seemed to be having made me remember the joy I felt with art.
the journey of art is trying to finally describe what your style is. you have so much time to figure it out man dont worry about setting a deadline to finding your specific style, even if its just fragments of full pictures its all about self expression
I've never understood artists saying "Find my style." An artist's style is like an fingerprint in that no two are the same. Your style is your style. It's something you innately have like your sense of taste, or your opinion. Sure it can be refined but if you look closely you can see a bit of your latest work in your earliest. Sure you can try to copy someone else's style but it'll never be the same. In fact I've seen "copies" that were more aesthetically pleasing than the original. You do you and I look forward to seeing more work in the future.
in being an artist its great to think about and critique your art, you have the best insight into what you want from your style, however its easy to get into a spot where you overthink and over criticize yourself. this looks great and im excited for these new kinds of uploads :)

also it’s nice to see artists creative process so this was an awesome vid !!
Recommendations: Get the reactions of the individual you are capturing in the art. That would possibly give the video a similar video to how your other contents goes.
Kryoz: Let's do something, diffrent. Something original, let's try drawing.
Smii7y: POWER WASH
We’ll all be waiting for smii7y to pay this man for this masterpiece
I think what's important is pushing past your comfort zone and it's breaking from expectations that makes it more interesting. It can be hard to be creative when worrying about physics or anatomy and I think you've done well considering that.
It's definitely not a style I could do, so I admire your work.
Nice job dude 👏👏👏
Bigjigglypanda's face combined with his logo next and we need reactions of you sharing the drawing with them.
Kryoz could literally talk about paint drying and I'd still watch the full 20min video
Your style seems psychadelic impressionist.
I love how John has been altering his clothes and adding really cool things to them
Really good! The only criticism I have is the nose blending with the milk bag. I know you said you weren’t sure about it but blending is a very big aspect of drawing. I’ve never done tablet drawing so I don’t really know how to help or give advice.
I think I recognize the program you’re using (krita) 100% you’re a great artist man :) I wish I could blend like you do lmao
Kryoz, art is an expression of who you are and who you want to be. Your art is unique and specific to you, and you nailed it so well. I would love to see you make more videos like this, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way
John daddy’s looking spicy mwah.
EDIT. Now that I’ve seen the full vid I want this on a shirt I want John drawn smi77y milk bag mercy
It’s like a moshpit of John’s ideas combined with abstract art & I fuckin love it
John I'm not artist and idk enough about it but maybe learning about color and what emotion or vibe a certain or combination of colors give gives ,and then the shapes like maybe there are very sexy shapes or aggressive ones, u know like some cars are sexy but also fast lookin.
Idk maybe learning about this kinda stuff would help in ur drawings
Oh yeah don't forget color values
More of these please
Everyone needs to bombard smii7y's next video telling him to switch his main channel icon to this
I’d love to see a drawing of big jiggly panda that is a mashup of him and a panda.
I'm really excited to see where you go with your art and how far you'll go with it!
best advice i could give anyone who is trying to find their art style is draw and experiment
“Practicing not caring” ... I will now live by that
What a beautiful portrait of smii7y, really captures his essence
him talking down on himself is part of his comedy but he is genuinely such a good artist and such a cool inspirational person
John should teach a master class on art, because dam thats Really well done
I would definitely watch more of this, and I think his style is surrealism if I’m not mistaken
Stream you drawing more! Would be a cool chat chill time
I feel the same about my "art style" and I feel a lot of comfort knowing someone else moves the canvas around a lot. "You need to keep it straight up" was told me to me often. I love your art.
John wtf, that end result is amazing. Disturbing yes, but amazing
You're looking way slimmer than I remembered and that mullet is... interesting to say the least lol
You're unironically the next Bob Ross with these vibes
Something I didn't think I needed this year but I really did. This video inspired me to get back to actually drawing and not just watching people drawing, the genuine fun he seemed to be having made me remember the joy I felt with art.
the journey of art is trying to finally describe what your style is. you have so much time to figure it out man dont worry about setting a deadline to finding your specific style, even if its just fragments of full pictures its all about self expression
You’re really fucking good at art jesus christ
John I just want you to know how proud I am for your weight loss and confidence back in front the camera. It’s enough to make a grown man cry
Awesome to see you exploring different interests on the channel. Would def love to see more of your projects in the future!
