And every couple seconds it closed the distance by 100ft or more. That alone is absolutely terrifying to consider if you were in a situation where you had to outrun it while ON FOOT

After the moon landing, a lot of Americans joked that the moon was the 51st state since we put a flag down after landing. The video is essentially telling us that the moon is not a place. Meaning it’s a person or a thing. Lore goes hard in this one what can I say?

I have audhd (autism and adhd) so i get overstimulated very easy but i love marcus' videos bc no matter what he watches, i never get overstimulated. My personal theory is that whatever is alive and is causing all the problems is completely incoporeal. Existing in the light, leaving the “throne” empty, so forth. The tv broadcasts are sent through “their domain”, which could be a reference to how there are different levels of energy and we can only even see or find a tiny piece of them. I wonder if that door is a gateway of sorts to corporeality, and if being real takes a large amount of energy. Like, enough that youd need to lure people in as sacrifices to eat amounts of energy. Theres also some added questions on maybe if they eat dreams or brain energy of some sort, hence the moon killing, and the research facility trying to stop people from dreaming.
49:56 I believe that here the lander for the "close" mission got sorta flung off the asteroid as it is showing images of the whole thing with a high rotation speed distortion effect after it landed. Also the c.l.o.s.e mission's name may mean not only the distance between the threat and mankind but also a plead to literally close the door.
A humanoid figure literally comes out of the door and you can see it standing in the empty doorway shortly after it’s flung from the astreoid, literally right after, the thing on the side is some kind of extraterrestrial, looking like a Volatite from Dying Light, and in the one where the whole astreoid is in view, you can even see it standing in the doorway in a throwing position
In addition since this series is still ongoing and I wanted to get in on the fun a bit. I decided to see if the route in the first video was possibly a hint to give us some clues as to where this might have happened. I hit sort of a dead end. So I stopped and finished this video before continuing. Luckily I caught a little bit of a break. Initial investigation: When I tried just searching all these roads to see what kind of hits I'd get. It came up a little scattered across the eastern seaboard. After watching the full length video: So at some point we were given a location. Virginia. Which by chance happened to be the one hit that I really got I guess. N 38th st. is a road in Virginia. The possible route taken: Holbrook Park Drive - No conclusive hit N 38th St. - Richmond Virginia Merritt Parkway, VA - No hit/Does not exist? Merritt Parkway, CT - Between the towns of Weston and Westport Hwy 114, NY - Town/City of North Haven Quarry utility Road - No real hits. Just quarry locations. However there are two in CT although they are more on the eastern side. Passed this point, I couldn't tell what exactly the GPS was saying and there were no close captions either. In conclusion. I think it is a bit of a stretch to think these streets, highways are of any significants to the actual story. Nor do I think it'll be helpful to uncovering the story as a whole. However in the case that no one else did what I did and posted their findings and there IS something in here that I'm just not seeing. I thought I'd post this anyways. Having a lot of fun watching all these series with you Marcus and can't wait to see where they all end up leading!

Funny thing is, I actually didn’t have a dream last last, but I had been in sleep paralysis. Last update was that most recent one (the Close livestream) and that was a lot of nothing until the very end. Considering how old Local58 is, it's creator in Kris Straub will make a video regarding it whenever he feels like it which is quite rare. Still it's a great analog horror series and one of the first ones to show up on youtube. I do think that Local58 is possibly link to the extended universe of Kris's works since he does do horror stuff centered around West Virginia.
I think local 58 is funyn cause its like this world where the supernatural happens every tuesday and they are fighting these entities to keep people safe while the entities try to destroy local 58 and the channel is doing its best to fight them. I love it
What's so crazy about Local58 in 37:15 to 37:38 they've been around for 83 years in that universe. It's not much but for them to be around that long and with the weird stuff that appears it just makes you think.

Edit: The door in space is creepy, because it does not belong, which reminds me a lot of the staircase in the woods stories. It's the things that have no business being in a certain place that are the creepiest.

My personal theory is that whatever is alive and is causing all the problems is completely incoporeal. Existing in the light, leaving the “throne” empty, so forth. The tv broadcasts are sent through “their domain”, which could be a reference to how there are different levels of energy and we can only even see or find a tiny piece of them. I wonder if that door is a gateway of sorts to corporeality, and if being real takes a large amount of energy. Like, enough that youd need to lure people in as sacrifices to eat amounts of energy.
Theres also some added questions on maybe if they eat dreams or brain energy of some sort, hence the moon killing, and the research facility trying to stop people from dreaming.

I believe that here the lander for the "close" mission got sorta flung off the asteroid as it is showing images of the whole thing with a high rotation speed distortion effect after it landed.
Also the c.l.o.s.e mission's name may mean not only the distance between the threat and mankind but also a plead to literally close the door.
A humanoid figure literally comes out of the door and you can see it standing in the empty doorway shortly after it’s flung from the astreoid, literally right after, the thing on the side is some kind of extraterrestrial, looking like a Volatite from Dying Light, and in the one where the whole astreoid is in view, you can even see it standing in the doorway in a throwing position

I low key felt bad for the skeleton in A Show For Children
In addition since this series is still ongoing and I wanted to get in on the fun a bit. I decided to see if the route in the first video was possibly a hint to give us some clues as to where this might have happened. I hit sort of a dead end. So I stopped and finished this video before continuing. Luckily I caught a little bit of a break.
Initial investigation: When I tried just searching all these roads to see what kind of hits I'd get. It came up a little scattered across the eastern seaboard.
After watching the full length video: So at some point we were given a location. Virginia. Which by chance happened to be the one hit that I really got I guess. N 38th st. is a road in Virginia.
The possible route taken:
Holbrook Park Drive - No conclusive hit
N 38th St. - Richmond Virginia
Merritt Parkway, VA - No hit/Does not exist?
Merritt Parkway, CT - Between the towns of Weston and Westport
Hwy 114, NY - Town/City of North Haven
Quarry utility Road - No real hits. Just quarry locations. However there are two in CT although they are more on the eastern side.
Passed this point, I couldn't tell what exactly the GPS was saying and there were no close captions either.
In conclusion. I think it is a bit of a stretch to think these streets, highways are of any significants to the actual story. Nor do I think it'll be helpful to uncovering the story as a whole. However in the case that no one else did what I did and posted their findings and there IS something in here that I'm just not seeing. I thought I'd post this anyways. Having a lot of fun watching all these series with you Marcus and can't wait to see where they all end up leading!

I really wish we had some kind of an update to the local 58 it’s what got me into analog horror and I want to see where it goes
Last update was that most recent one (the Close livestream) and that was a lot of nothing until the very end. Considering how old Local58 is, it's creator in Kris Straub will make a video regarding it whenever he feels like it which is quite rare. Still it's a great analog horror series and one of the first ones to show up on youtube. I do think that Local58 is possibly link to the extended universe of Kris's works since he does do horror stuff centered around West Virginia.
I think local 58 is funyn cause its like this world where the supernatural happens every tuesday and they are fighting these entities to keep people safe while the entities try to destroy local 58 and the channel is doing its best to fight them. I love it
What's so crazy about Local58 in 37:15 to 37:38 they've been around for 83 years in that universe. It's not much but for them to be around that long and with the weird stuff that appears it just makes you think.

Local58 is, for me, the best analog horror series. It was my first and seems to have influenced so many others to create their own. The series itself is also good, to this day contingency still either gives me the creeps or brings me to tears or both.

During the digital transition the message is talking about the moon because when it was talking about a thousand mouths its talking about the tiny holes on the moon and when it said "if he is silenced we will speak for him" its talking about the people who looked at the moon and when it was saying "signs and wonders flood our little sky no star above us only eyes" its talking about the cartoon when the moon peer over the grave the selekton was in.

btw, the term for being able to pick out faces in things that aren't face-shaped is called pareidolia. i wouldn't be surprised if that term shows up somewhere soon

idk about the primitive mind thing, but as someone with chronic nightmares leading to long, vivid, patially lucid dreams, i can confirm dreaming makes sleep a lot less efficiently restful. the more detailed and long the dream, the less effective the sleep.
