Thoroughly enjoyed this interview, the love and devotion to each other and Robbie shone through. The interviewer's almost laid back attitude allowed the questions to be answered completely without his personality intruding. So many interviewers seem to think that they are the focal point of the process instead of being the facilitator to allow it to happen.
I was fortunate to be a surrogate myself, truly rewarding, always new I was on earth for so much more than just me. So loved their interview and truly happy for them, getting to experience "Ohana" - family, means no-one gets left behind. Bless them
@@CinderelaInTheRain I think they meant like normal people as in not speaking like celebrities. Being genuine and that kind of thing. I don't think it was meant negatively...
Spent 20 years working with 'difficult' kids and their families and soon came to believe THE best thing for any child is to have parents that love them and treat them with joy and respect... love doesn't have a gender. One of the things that remains indelible in my mind and cemented this belief of mine, is how many kids over the years said to me at some point, "can I live with you" or "will you be my dad"... absolutely heart wrenching! On a more pleasant note... love this interview and yes would love to hear them again in a years time :)
My husband and I raising three children it was crazy. I was more my Dad and he was more his mom and Dad meshed together. We loved and both hated the crazy ride as Daddies! They are now all adults with the youngest still living at home. We have two college graduates and one on his way. Our daughter recently joined the military and we look forward to her success as a field medic and becoming a doctor. Our oldest son lives back in my home state of Kansas. He misses his daddies terribly however he recently got engaged during the pandemic and was laid off from his job. Being parents is THE most rewarding thing you can do!

The pure joy Lance and Tom has in their eyes when they tals about Robbie melts my heart! P.S. you will never pee alone again! Lol 3 kids later you just learn to deal with it

Awesome interview - so glad I had the opportunity to see this and they had the opportunity to speak - they are both so good at presenting normalcies where people try their damnedest to find none - thank you so much!
Both so very articulate. It makes sense for Lance, the writer, but Tom too. I suppose he's been in the media eye for so long, and is well used to interviews.
They both are incredibly smart. I am in my forties too and when a young man shows interest I mostly just diss it off because in my mind I think is not going to work. But watching their loving relationship giving me a new perspective and I may start to take it seriously and give it a second thought before dissing.

Seems like gays with kids in the UK aren’t as visible as might be needed. This to me is a problem that helps laws not be rewritten. Something to focus on with LGBT Rights in the UK. To think that children there aren’t homeless is ridiculous because there are a large number of rent boys on the streets because the do whatever they can just to eat. That’s a reality. Parents straight or gay could make a difference in a child’s life. It’s having a parent is what’s important. Not rather that parent is straight or gay. Kids love structure in their lives. It shouldn’t matter where it comes from.

God, I wish my parents had 5% of this love and concern about me. instead, they made me and gave me to my grandparents. That's a thing in straight people, they make too many babies and take care of too little.
Do you think equal rights applies here just like the LGBT community preach. The rights of a child to have there biological mother??!!; Does this not apply!
@@NoRestrictionsdivorce doesn't necessarily mean a child does not have a mother present in their life. I am in no way legitimising divorce from this but because 2 men have decided to pursue their lust for each other and pretend that it is biologically and morally right, they have then chosen to bring in a child in to this world via 3rd party (because for obvious reasons they cannot, just incase you didn't know) and chosen to remove a biological mother from a child's life. They've had the choice throughout. Biology is simple my friend. 2 men or 2 woman cannot have children. Fact. Get over it and accept it.
