I visited a mule breeding barn once that had a dozen donkeys in it. It was the days of the rotary dial phone. Whenever the phone in the barn would ring every one of the donkeys would start to bray. This vid of the dogs howling out the sliding glass door brought back that memory of the donkeys. I had fun watching.
They are my favourite breed. I had 2 basset hounds and one of them died almost a year ago. I only recently started thinking about getting another dog and I cannot wait to get a bloodhound this time. They are the best.

Yes, they have a great sense of smell. I have seen them being used to sniff out hidden drugs or weapons, also in Africa... some rancher's use them to follow cattle rustlers. They are the best.
They can smell bacon from miles away. The bacon arias are the most beautiful compositions ever written for hounds to sing. Love how the Bassett attempts to look Regal amongst his drooling unsophisticated colleagues. Much like Gimli from Lord of the rings standing in the presence of his fellow cast members. "We Bassetts have spots, and are natural sprinters."
This is great! I love you SUSAN KAMARU for getting these orchestral geniuses out to us. They (modern musicians) may not make REAL music anymore, but the dog's always put out the best tunes irrespective of the era! \m/

I love this! Awww, it reminds me of my neighbours' Basset hounds, they'd howl on the balcony. They had beautiful singing voices!
