    Was really interested in the part where you were talking about how your job, and doing 15,000 steps a day, impacts your running. I am a postman and do about 25-30k steps every day and somedays it's really hard to muster up the energy to get out for a run after a shift.

    Very interesting interview. One question immediately springs to mind; why wasn't the discipline you had imposed (?) on you in the States there at St. Marys? Surely you were there, at least in part, to run? Why weren't you forced to adopt a more disciplined lifestyle?
    At Birmingham University in the late 1970s I was running 70-100 miles a week; it is possible to train seriously and be a good student!
