    Great video. Awesome to actually see Tissue Culture. Different speakers at Horticultural Society touched on this subject as restrictions and costs have changed the Growing Nursery Industry in NZ.
    Bringing plant materials into NZ isn't like what it used to be.
    Protecting the Agricultural industry has really gone into another gear, but still under funded.
    To see this first hand in video puts it into perspective.

      Yes, I don't have anything to do with the importation process, I simply by the flasks of other growers (seems far too complicated & costly for me) but I can absolutely imagine the stress of it all!
      Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

    Great video! I've done one ring of fire tissue culture and didn't use an antifungal. I did use hydrogen peroxide, which I'm guessing would the same. Oh and I did mine in Fluval Stratum. Works AMAZING! I lost no plants!

      @GrowingGreenNZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Hydrogen peroxide would indeed do the trick! And that’s great to hear you haven’t lost any!👏

    After you put them in the dome how often did you let them air out to acclimate before you open the lid completely?

    • @GrowingGreenNZ
      @GrowingGreenNZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I left them for two weeks, then opened the holes in the top for two weeks, then left the lid half off for two weeks and then took the lid off 💕

    Super interesting! I have a lot of questions, I seem to have missed your live chat:(.
    I think without TC I would never be able to afford the collection I currently love in my home. I knew it was a process that produces plants quickly, but had no idea what that entailed and you made it look so simple. Do you have to keep the plants warmer than a certain temp? What is your success rate? Are there retailers (not wholesalers) who sell to the general public? What do we look when buying a container of TC? Thank you for this video, you got my mind going, lol! ~Lynn

    • @GrowingGreenNZ
      @GrowingGreenNZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Lynn!
      TC has definitely made plants VERY affordable and I don't think anyone will complain about that!
      It looks like a simple process, but a single flask can take me about an hour to pot up!
      Its best to keep them at a slightly warmer than average temp, and my success rate currently is 100%.
      Im not sure if any sell publicly yet but they may consider it in the future if it becomes more popular?
      Glad to hear you enjoyed it & thanks for watching!
