I love my Hoya. I also recently just posted a video on my collection and I felt I said a lot of the same. “This Hoya I’ve struggled with” lol😂 but it’s weird because the ones I have that thrive are like weeds. Then I have my linearis that’s basically dead at this point. lol. I feel you. Amazing collection!
Hi Rachel. Thanks for taking the time to show us your Hoya collection. Very impressive! I wish I had the space to have a few more Hoyas, I’m really beginning to get hooked on them, they can be quite addictive if that’s the way to describe an obsession.
Gosh you have got a wonderful collection going on there 🎉 My Sarawak has had the same problem of new shoots drying out which was disappointing. I’m leaning on the thought it could be a water issue too. Mine is still in fern fibre which I find dries out quite quickly so I’m thinking of repotting it into an aroid/hoya mix to see if that overcomes the problem. I absolutely adore my one 🥰 Will you be selling Hoya in the foreseeable future?
Glad I found your channel! I’m still a “buy a Hoya because of its foliage” gal, I’m only 1.5 yrs in to being a full plant mom so haven’t had any of mine bloom yet. Loved the rate of movement in this video and I enjoy peeps who speak more quickly, I like to take in as much info, as fast as I can so this vid was perfect for me. My Curtsii tips dry out too, not sure why, it’s bushy now though! My carnosa compactas (Hindu ropes) are my favs, I’ll pot them up together when they get bigger
Thanks for watching!! Yeah I try talk fairly quick or I cut out awkward pauses. There is nothing worse than watching a video and having to sit through long pauses or watching someone get distracted 🫣😂
Hi, I do love a hoya collection video, thank you. Regarding your linearis, mine is about to flower. The only tip I have is to use a small pot, a quick draining mix, and water regularly. Mine is in lots of bark.
What a lovely collection of Hoyas you have. Your joy for your plants shines through your video. I’m just starting my Hoya collection and while just tiny bit late to the party I’m happy the prices have dropped some 😂
@@ttschrock7126 Hiya! We sell them on our website, but unfortunately we don't ship overseas 💚 I'm not sure where you may get them or similar in the USA
I am currently growing my Hoya either in nutrient water or a mix of Leca and MAB Grow (AUS version of PON). Linearis is my pain plant. I have had to relent and grow it in a mix of TFF, Perlite, charcoal, worm castings, charcoal and orchid bark (I think that's it). Do you grow all of your Hoya in straight TFF? Not sure if you are making a video of you chop and prop but I would certainly watch it
Really nice collection it's very hard to find some of the really exotic species here in the caribbean but I have a few of the common ones and my wish list is very long😊
@@GrowingGreenNZ yeah and oh wow lol. Granted, I’ve never even seen it before, on TH-cam or in person, so I say isn’t common in Australia at least where I am
Hoya linearis seems to like more water then other hoya. It's probably dropping it's leaves from drying out for too long in my experience. You will have to do a lot of chopping and propping to get them full and bushy!
Beautiful Hoya Collection. I missed the last Auckland plant market. I got most of my Hoyas from Hoya obsession in Hamilton. I am both foliage and scented flowers❤❤ I am interested in buying a cutting of Hoya Merdithii whenever you want to sell
Hi, greetings from Germany. At the beginning of your video you have a beautiful hoya with a narrow white curved trellis. Where can I get the trellis? Best wishes Linda ❤
Do you have a video on your medium and potting them? Once again, amazing hoyas. Prettiest I have ever seen. Do you have any in PON? I think all that I saw was in a nice chunky mix.
Linearis: put into PON. Only water when you see the leaves drooping, like the one you showed secondly was thirsty. Don't let it go dry. They are happy when they are plump and fluffed out. They literally tell you they are dry by what their leaves look like. :-) Good luck!!
I am a hoya person for foliage. I have yet to get one to flower. I am hoping I will get them to flower now with more grow lights. Then perhaps I will change my stance. ;)
Have you tried hoya in pon? My cuttings are still small but when they need repotting im thinking of putting them in pon. I dont want them to die though. And is there a best time to repot? Eg: autumn or spring Also, what does "...sonii" relate to? I notice a lot of plants finish with this. Thank you
Hey! I haven’t tried them in Pon but I’ve seen great success in leca, so it should be ok! Just try it on a cheaper Hoya 😂 You’ll have to google that one! I’m not sure!
@@GrowingGreenNZ thanks! I have 3 cuttings of pubicalyx so might put one to the test. It will either be a sacrifice to the plant gods or a good way forward 😂
Watching your videos definitely inspired me to do it lol. Whether I do or not is another thing. Idk if this is what it is but all my hoya Ive had issues with growing where the growth tip kept dying Ive treated as if they have flat mites, whether I can see they do or not, so sprayed the growth tips with Enspray and now theyre all finally growing! Also! If you chop and prop and sell some of your krohniana splash and rosita.. Id be keen! Ive been waiting to replace my krohniana splash that died but havent seen any Mum plants Ive liked and my rosita keeps dying so if you have a relatively biggish cutting to sell thatd be great! Just btw. Lol.
Hello Rachel from Puerto Rico!! I love Hoyas!! Your collection is beautiful!! My Linearis is also giving me stress. Just subscribed. I recently started my English speaking channel and would appreciate your support. Thank you!! 🙋🏼♀️🪴
I love hoyas they are my favourite ❤ your hoyas are beautiful 😍 i really stuggle with growing hoya linneriss too which is a shame as i really love it and find that is really hard to find to buy
Nice Hoyas. Your trellis are not my kind. They look so prominent kind of stealing the show of the Hoya leaves. Consider simple wire trellis for future plants and see the difference. 💚💚
Love the fishtail Hoya! Adding it to my wish list.

Self watering pots are the way to go with linearis.

Oooh yeah I think you’ve come in at the right time for Hoya prices indeed! Thank you for your kind comment 💚
I put my linearis into pon and it loves it. It even gave me a peduncle so I’m crossing my fingers and hoping I get a bloom this season 🤞🏽
I may give that a go!
Wow all the hojas just beautiful
What a nice collection
