  • I discover access to the Eel River in Rio Dell, California, and also walk on a short forested path next to the river. While there are many more natural areas across Humboldt County, I still found it interesting to visit this "neighborhood" location.

The cliffs on the other side of the river were beautiful to look at, and all the birds. You've been finding some really great spots to tromp around in.

Part of that is the magic of movie making--- I can concentrate on the nice parts. For example, this area is also next to a water treatment plant---but I avoided showing that part. So I framed it in a way to show the natural beauty, and not it being kind of a scrappy place on the edge of town.

Nice video, I visited Rio Dell today from Woodland. The scenery was very impressive, loved the redwoods and mountains lakes and rivers. My stepson stopped in that Dollar General for snack for the ride back. The roads are quite challenging.

The mountains through there are very rough, and the roads can be challenging. I currently live in the Rocky Mountains, and compared to the Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast Range, it is actually pretty mild.
I am glad you liked the video---there is a lot more where that came from! Although I haven't been in California for a while.

Those are black tail deer and the bar has looked like that for over 20 years and most of those trails are in someone’s back yard lol I live just above the river. My whole life
