I do not reeeally believe in the special powers of crystals or gemstones, still I find it admirable to know and care so much about one thing .. and Ive wanted to upload these for a while, as I really enjoy the Crystal Experts calm voice. I feel very strongly that the qualities of an astrological sign basically tell you what you want to hear. It also excuses any negative qualities or behaviors on predestination instead of people taking more responsibility over their actions and attitudes. It's very similar to modern religion. People would like to believe that we are more than we are so we embrace spirituality and the concept of a higher power. The body is mortal and finite, therefore our fragility and ability to die our ultimate gift. I agree with you as well.

For me it was whichever class I happened to have on a thursday afternoon, assuming the vibe was right and the class involved independent study / reading (which often entailed the teacher walking up and down the aisles in between desks, something that almost always triggered me)

I still don't really believe in stone healing. But one time a couple had a kiosk at my uni selling these and offered a free healing session. The guy used a rose quartz and pointed it up and down my body, from bellybutton up to my forehead. I remember actually feeling some kind of heat emitting onto wherever the stone was pointing. Definitely got some awesome tingles.

"Real medicine" isn't always an answer either since it has properties that do help but also cause other side affects. In the end its up to the person what they want. If they believe a stone will heal them let them. Lessons will be learned. Regardless ASMR is ASMR and I love it.

People do believe in this. My girlfriend is hardcore into Crystal's and astrology. As an atheist and someone who prides themself on being a skeptic, obviously I dont think different colored rocks have healing effects. From my experience Crystal's and astrology are both perfect examples of the placebo affect.
My girlfriend as an example, she used to be incredibly depressed, so much so to where she would regularly hurt herself. She began bringing Crystals with her wherever she went, and she began feeling better. Obviously she attributed this to the Crystals even though it could have been numerous other sources providing her with happiness.
Same idea with astrology. You're assigned a specific sign. This sign supposedly describes your attributes. Like "outgoing" or "intelligent". All people have all of these characteristics, or atleast perceive themself to have had the characteristic at some point in their life, especially the negative ones.
Although these things are clearly placebo, if people find the placebo affect provided by crystals to be beneficial, then who is to say it doesnt actually work? Sure theres no magical properties, but there are scientific explanations to why these objects benefit people.
You have more than just a sun sign, genius. Each planet has a placement in a sign at the time of your birth, as well as various mathematical points on the chart. For example, I'm a Capricorn so most people would assume I'm a boring workhorse who cultivates stability. But when people meet me and get to know me, the part of my chart they ACTUALLY pick up on is my Leo ascendant (one of the axes on the chart), my Vesta (an asteroid) placement in Cancer, and the vaguely disturbing combination of my moon and Venus in Scorpio. There's more to astrology than just a sun sign.

As I understand it, "scrying" is the practice of foretelling the future by looking into a crystal ball or other reflective object. Gazing is a meditative technique where you stare into a light, like a candle, or an object, like, in this example, a crystal, to help focus your mind and facilitate relaxation. During meditation one could presumably have visions and such. So, similar, but not exactly the same. She's the expert, though.
