Great edit Christian, didn't expect the merge to be so quick and easy, only using the blending mode with no masking at all.

Thank you! For this image it was indeeed very quick, but sometimes you still need to mask areas to get the desired effect! :-)

Thanks for your demonstration. It is great work you have done for us. Do you believe it is better to use photo stacking to put 2 images together instead of blending?

Thanks for the comment! Time blending is basically a way of stacking photos, its just different than lets say reating an HDR since you want to achieve different things with those techniques.

Thanks a lot! Camera settings were different for these two shots because of differnet light situation!

Christian, wanted to know whether how photographers mark the same spot and angle when shooting during different time period,
since one cannot wait from morning till evening in the same spot!

Hey, you can simply use a tripod and leave it in one spot with your camara attached :-)

Christian, are you a photographer or a photoshop artist?

Christian, This comprehensive application of Photoshop tutorial is fully displaying the entire process of creating a beautiful sunset scenery of a landscape image. With the very fine adjustments of exposure and temperatures by the masks, as well as making a stronger contrast, the time blending effects of the two images are much greater than they were previously shot.
Your inspirational illustration of how to create the time blending effects in Photoshop is extremely impressive and explicit in detail.
I am so grateful to you for your remarkable dedication and help! I started to learn more about Photoshop. I am enormously thankful to you!
I just thought about after the mask 3, followed by Mask 5 at 6'54'', later mask 4 at 7'51'', I am wondering masks 5 and mask 4 are interchangeable?

Thank you so much for the kind comment!
Usually, you can apply these masks in any order, however switching the order might make it harder decidingwhat to change!
