Melbourne weather... 4 seasons in one day.
Good to see you practice safe riding... ride to the conditions...with fear😊

Yep. Rain riding definitely is not my first option as a newer rider especially. Now you've covered riding on the wet, you ever thought of doing a vid on riding at night? Tips, things to look out for etc....
Might be helpful for viewers. e.g. Me 😂

Even with 4 years of riding and peg scraping in good conditions, I hate the rain and avoid it when possible, not because I can't ride in it, but because I have to do half the speed limit or close to during turns and bends in which cars don't slow down at all and terrorise you by being too close 😅 (Had bad experiences in the wet at 10-15 mph on my 110-130kg CBR125R due to not being able to see a flood covered pothole while turning which has kept me nervous even riding my 190-210kg FZS600 with a better contact patch) Riding skill/experience is irrelevant if you've lost confidence, and this is despite having the bike slide in torrential floods on a roundabout and using a throttle twist to regrip successfully 😅 (Another reason I don't advise riding in too high a gear despite recommendations, because if you need the powerband, it may be too late depending on the pickup of your specific engine)

I went over wet tram tracks a few weeks ago and had a fall. Apparently I did a 180 before hitting the ground head-first. Woke up confused but ok.
No way in hell am I ever riding in the rain again (at least not here in Melbourne)

Been raining all week in the UK so it's funny not being able to see anything while riding. The only thing you can kinda make out is lights on cars that blind you most of the time 😂

Just gotta do a quick burnout and bam, not a new tire anymore is it? Gonna be properly warmed up and worn in after that.
On a more serious note, can you see the screen at all with rain on it? I can see nothing there on camera.

I ride me Fireblade all year round, except when it's icy and heavy snowy. Though I have used the car when it's been raining so hard that I'd be soaked within a few minutes..
Also, regards the pinlock steaming up, each pinlock has a limited amount of moisture it can absorb before it's overwhelmed and this is time limited, hence the numbers on them like 30,60,70. This refers to the amount of minutes a pinlock can be exposed to moisture before it needs to be dried out

What if you sanded the new tire a little wouldn't that help with traction?

Extra smooth to make sure the water glides over it freely
