My brother bought a 22 500 SE last April and has been kind enough to let me ride it pretty much whenever so long as he's not planning on using it. I absolutely love the bike. It has more than enough power to keep things interesting and handles very well. Only mod it has is a Coffman's classic shorty and it sounds phenomenal with that, some of crackles and pops but it's not obnoxious. Between him and I we have racked it up 3500 trouble-free miles. I would recommend it to anyone, it's such a good bike for the money and is so pleasant to ride. My only complaint is the seat, for a taller person it's not the most comfortable thing on longer rides but for an hour or so it's not bad.
I'm very heavily leaning towards it. I thought of the Eliminator for the tech, but.. I just really don't like it.. I only have a 22mi commute, so it would be great for that.. Sucks there's no range estimate, like you mentioned.. But I think this is gonna be the move. I only ever street rode a dr350 for a couple of yrs at the end of HS. Like 18yrs ago, lol.
@@MH-ku5hf it is definitely an amazing motorcycle. It looks much better than the Eliminator and has more to offer regarding aftermarket support and reliability.
I am a new rider, I am 5'10 and solid build, I am leaning towards the Reb 500 for a few reasons, first is I feel comfortable with it. Second, its a honda. third, if i keep good care of it resale is a breeze.
I am the same exact height and build, and it fits me very well. I will say tho the seat is not the best for longer rides. It starts to bother me after an hour or so.
Plan on replacing the seat Front cowl does a good job 2 bros slipons sound better than stock pipes Good hp/weight ratio Slipper clutch is icing on the cake
Been on my cb500f for 5 years now, and the thing slaps so hard, it's hard to want a bigger bike. I only desire a slightly better sound and sportier looks (which the cbr500r would clear by itself).
I thought the same with my Rebel 500, until I rode faster bikes :D! I'm actually thinking about getting a CB1000r Next, not sure still ... we shall see
Yeah, I rode the Hornet to see if I like the cp2, was fun didn't hit it for me. But I rode the cb650r back to back and it was so nice. It rode a bit like the 500 down low and got faster and faster the higher up the revs you went. And I loved the sound. I've decided that my next bike will be a cbr650r, just need to save up a bit more.@@MAJafari
Hi! Great video! Could you tell me what tank bag youre using? I just got a 2023 rebel 500 n i love the look of that bag. Do the magnets scratch the tank?
@@bataganbat7178 just for the record, i am 90kg myself (200lbs) so I totally get ya lol im excited to get my license, and i got the bike coming in on the 22nd this month!
I absolutely love mine! But, if you have the extra cash get the 1100 and ride in Rain mode until you are more comfortable! then you don't have to buy another when you grow out of the 500!
I am 5'10" and have been riding a Honda Rebel 500 since June. I have 4,000 miles and I think the bike is fine for people up to about 6'1"-6'2". I am considering getting a seat as the stock seat gets rough after a short while. Good luck to you, God bless.
They are the stock mirrors, I just bought the bracket from Ebay to flip them down. Search “handlebar rear view side mirror brackets” and should come up. Thank you
It depends on where you live, the US tends to have super wide and straight roads where the 500 might be a bit "underpowered". But for town/ city riding, even the 500 is peppy enough. And you can wring the motor out a bit.

Sick look, flipping the mirrors under the bars
thank you so much! I absolutely love them.
Just bought mine!!!! Is that a flip side to side or aftermarket
Random thing, but I work for AWS and it was weird watching you drive past my office hahaha
Thank you for the information I this video, btw!
That's awesome!
Thinking of finally buying my first bike did a year of research and really leaning towards thhis bike
it is for sure an amazing bike, however, if you commuting more than an hour, consider the Rebel 1100 as well!

Great video my friend! I’m gonna get the Rebel 500 because of your amazing review Buddy!!!

you got one sub here, man :)
I’ve always seen this bike as a CB500f cosplaying as a cruiser.

You are so welcome
👍🏻 Great video ❗️
nice video, well explained. What's the exhaust ? sounds good
Thank you so much, It is the Shorty GP by Radiant Cycles.
Hey, nice content how do you think power wise for 200lbs person?
It’s fine
if an entire family in Vietnam can hop on a PCX with 157cc going up hill, im sure a 471 cc for a 200lbs isnt a problem.

Honda power baby !!!
Yesssirr!!
How does it do going up hills?
Do u feel like you’re always full trottle?
Honestly, not really, it does have enough power for that. Never had any issues with it on the mountain roads.
Where is the mirrors bought ? I want Them for mu rebel 500

Amen!
Is this bike OK for my size 6.4 ?
Honestly, it would be a little too low for you, plus riding would not be as comfortable since it’s mid controls
I dont get it if it is SE model why doesn't it have diamond leather sit
I have replaced it with Mustang Seat for more comfort. I still have the other seat too
Is this the 2023 model?
Yes, 2023 Rebel 500 SE model.
Don't like the New Coke Rebel at all.
Give me the old Classic Coke Rebel back.
