Got a real easy solution for you all. But a 1/2 inch drive wrench and 10mm allen socket to go with it, and an adjustable C spanner. Leave everything on the bike, but get the rear wheel off the floor. Undue the 2 Allen screws at the back of the swing arm and use the C spanner to tighten the chain. Then when happy, tighten the 2 screws back up. Procedure can be done within 5 mins. Cheers 👍

You're welcome and I hope it works out for you as it worked for me. Don't forget to check the end play of the rear bearings. Mine were shot at the last rear tire change. Awaiting warranty parts to come in and repair the bearing assembly. It had 2 inches of side to side play in it when I checked it.

After watching your video I've decided to buy the cheap Kawasaki chain tightening tool so I wouldn't have to remove the exhaust and wheel just to tighten the chain. What a hassle it is doing it this way.

I did buy the tool, but I needed to ride it before the tool arrived so in the absence of the correct tool you can still ride your bike.

Nice video Bud. I was curious as waiting for my H2 get ready for collection and saw in the manual that have no information about adjusting the chain, only says to take to a dealer - lol. It is exactly like a multistrada I had few years ago, an eccentric hub. A C spanner would do better bro, and it may not require to take everything off. Good video, appreciated your time.

Thank you, I just bought a 2022 H2 SX SE and was looking to find the chain adjustment for future maintenance.

Buy a KTM Spanner wrench, works for me.

On E-bay these specific tools are sold for like 20$ max. Better to buy those then the outragious expensive chain adjustment tool from Kawasaki or doing this shit that in the end might damage something.

This is such an easy job on a Superduke 1290, loosen one bolt and tighten with tool out your tool kit you also have lines for reference on play, no need to remove a wheel and what not.

No need on SX either - same procedure - just the hook spanner needed

You don't have to remove the wheel or exhaust for this...

Yes I got the tool now and it's much easier but at that time I need to get the chain tightened asap.

Not hard enough to damage it. It didn't take much to move it.
